Willow Tree Lodge

My mother was admitted into Willow Tree Lodge in March 2018, it had been a tough year due to my father passing away a year earlier leaving myself and my brothers to take over our mothers care. Under our doctor's advice, we started looking at care homes and Willow Tree Lodge stood out from any we had looked at. We arranged a home visit with one of the care managers who from vast experience knew that as a family we were struggling to come to terms with the decision of having to put our mother in a care home, it's almost a feeling of failure. Her calm and warm manner towards our mother and ourselves gave us an instant feeling of care, not only for our mum but for us as her children. The attention to detail that all the staff in the care home organised before our mum's arrival was nothing more than overwhelming. Ensuring that her room mirrored her room at home to try and make her feel as secure and comfortable in this very difficult transition. All the staff are in my opinion amazing, caring.

As a family, we continue to be delighted by the overall level of care and support provided by the Management and Staff at Willow Tree Lodge. Notwithstanding the challenges created by my Mother's condition, she and the other patients are treated with respect, patience, empathy and a genuine willingness to meet their needs. The Staff have taken the time to get to know my Mum as an individual and try and anticipate her needs / understand how best to engage her despite the challenges of her Dysphasia. As a consequence, my Mum has been able to come to trust the Staff and this has been undoubtedly a key factor in her now being settled into the routine and being comfortable with the overall environment. She now sees it as where she lives. Of particular note is individual Staff members being keen to share when Mum has got involved in an activity and had a smile on her face. It is a real comfort to feel the Staff are as keen as we are to see Mum happy. I would strongly recommend Willow Tree.

The staff at Willow Tree Lodge have been exceptional in caring for my mother. The management has gone above and beyond their duties to ensure she feels treasured. The entertainment has been excellent especially at Christmas time making it a real home from home. I feel very reassured knowing that my mother's health and happiness is being managed by all the staff at Willow Tree Lodge.

We tried for years to keep Mum out of residential care, thinking she was better in her own home but as soon as she went to Willow Tree Lodge we could see that her quality of life had improved 100%, with the freedom to move around and lovely people to interact with 24 hours a day. Willow Tree feels like a home, not like a hospital or a school or other institution, striking just the right balance between professional and homely. It is the exceptional quality of management, empathy and attention to detail exercised by the Manager that makes Willowtree so good, and inspires all the staff to the highest standards in their various jobs.

Mum moved into Willow Tree Lodge at the end of October and was made to feel extremely welcome. All the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. My brother and I visited several Residential Homes and decided instantly that Willow Tree stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Would recommend 100% without hesitation.

Mum has been treated with loving care and respect. She was very unkeen to go into a home but has since admitted she was worried about nothing. The staff are so lovely and genuinely care about the residents. I have peace of mind knowing she is somewhere so lovely. It doesn't feel like a care home just a warm and comfortable homely place to live.

The summer garden party and Christmas party were fun with the residents participating in the entertainment.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Willow Tree Lodge.

The home is excellent, extremely clean and welcoming. All of the staff are lovely and caring. My mum is treated with the utmost respect and dignity at all times. There are plenty of activities and entertainment with a lovely Christmas party for relatives, residents and staff. Mum has settled in well and has a much better quality of life than before. Overall the home is excellent

The care of my mother and all residents at Willow Tree Lodge is exemplary. It stands out head and shoulders above the other homes that I have looked at for her care. Mothers behaviour can be pretty challenging at times however the staff have a great way of bringing her round. Maintenance of dignity and wellbeing is at the forefront of care. The environment is lovely, always clean in a very well maintained house and grounds. There is a good choice of food with dietary requirements catered for. I am always well informed with regards to mums wellbeing and health. I am always welcomed when I visit the care-home with a friendly smile. When my mother first needed to go into care, Willow Tree was my first choice but unfortunately, there were no vacancies at that time. Her prior care home closed and I felt very fortunate indeed to find a vacancy at Willow Tree. Mum settled there very quickly due to the fabulous carers and has been there for over a year. My thanks to the care manager and team.

Wonderful home, such lovely and caring staff. My Mother has literally blossomed since she's been there for just over 2 years. Such a relief knowing that she is in good hands and so well looked after. Can't fault in any way.

Whenever we visit they are always there talking and interacting with the residents and the home provides a varied and frequent entertainment program for everyone.

My mother has been resident at Willow Tree Lodge for 6 years and has always been well supported. Staff are willing to listen to any concerns and have acted promptly with regard to health issues. Staff, in particular, appear very caring and patient with residents and flexible in their approach to changing needs and behaviour. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal issues dealt with sensitively. My mother appears happy in her situation and my sister and I feel confident she is being well cared for in pleasant surroundings.

When I visit my mother I am always greeted by a friendly face and my mother seems to be very happy there. All the staff are very friendly and chatty. I do feel like my mother has now got a better life and is so much happier that what she was living on her own.

Clean, welcoming, light and airy environment. Friendly, caring conscientious staff, always willing to help and make a cup of tea after a long journey to see my mum. Superb record keeping so they can tell you instantly of recent events during their resident's stay. I am very comfortable with my mum living at Willow Tree Lodge and have no concerns about her care.

The staff at Willow Tree Lodge have consistently and sensitively looked after my friend for the past year even as her condition has deteriorated. They are welcoming, friendly and caring, the premises are clean, warm and comfortable, the entertainment is good and varied and the residents appear to be at ease and content. I feel confident that my friend and other residents are in safe hands.

The home provides a clean, safe, stable and friendly environment for the residents. On each of my visits over the past six months, I have only observed the caring way in which all the staff deal with the residents. I feel that I couldn't have made a better choice for the care of my mother.

The home itself is so clean and the gardens are wonderful. All the staff, right through the board, were so caring.
