The overall standard and quality of care at Willow Tree Lodge is excellent. The staff are friendly, approachable and go above and beyond just providing a high level of care through their interaction with residents. I would not hesitate to recommend Willow Tree Lodge.

Mum has been a resident for nearly 3 years and has been very well cared for and has been very happy. Whenever we visit, we are always welcomed and are impressed with how clean and tidy she is along with her room. Furthermore, our family dog is also made welcome and enjoyed by the other residents. We are confident that the home would contact us as soon as any problem should arise concerning Mum, which gives great peace of mind.

My uncle has been resident at Willow Tree Lodge for approximately 18 months. He suffers from vascular dementia which does not appear to bother him too much. My cousin takes him out for tea and a ride in the country which he enjoys very much. My uncle appears to be happy and content at Willow Tree Lodge.

We have had two, much cared for relatives in WTL (Willow Tree Lodge) for about two years. Sadly one of them has recently died but the care that was given to him while he was in the home and even more so as his health declined was absolutely second to none. As importantly, the support given to the surviving partner throughout the illness and eventual passing away of her partner was complete, full of care and compassion and always given more as friends than carers. In our view, there is unlikely to be a care home anywhere which reaches the standards of care, support and friendship provided to those lucky enough to be looked after at WTL.

Thank you so much for such a personal response. It has been and continues to be, an absolute pleasure to do all we can for your relative as it was for her beloved partner, kind regards

Mum has been a resident for a few months now and seems very settled and happy in her new environment.

She speaks well of the staff who are very attentive and enjoys her meals.

From my experience, when visiting Mum, it is obvious that the level of dedication of the staff is high.

Modern building with excellent facilities and a nice welcoming feel. Lovely setting with nice views and garden. Extremely well run. Management and staff are welcoming to visitors, clearly highly motivated, to provide care to my mum and seem to enjoy what they do. In the time my mum has been there, staff have been a constant presence with no changes which is reassuring.

Mum's room is lovely, well decorated and with a nice view. She spends some time there but a lot of time in the lounge with other residents. Plenty of entertainment and regular engagement with the staff. Food is excellent, with a varied menu and this has restored mum's appetite. Mum is proud of her appearance and the staff make sure she always looks her best. Like all children, I was worried about how mum would find the move to a care home but knowing mum is safe and being well cared for is a great relief. Mum's dementia is tough for her and for us but going to see her is made easier by the staff and the surroundings. Top class care.

The staff are always friendly and know the residents by name and who the relatives are.

The facilities are perfect for Dementia needs of the residents, bedrooms are light and airy, not too many doors to manage, lift available, lots of colour around, wide corridors, comfy chairs with high backs for support, real home from home atmosphere.

Safety and security is excellent.

My mother has been at Willow Tree since September 2016 and is happy and feels at home there. She has benefited from the company of the other residents and the staff at the home, both her physical and mental health have improved since being there. The manager and her team look after her well and treat her as an individual.

I had to choose a care home for my mother who is suffering from dementia, deliriums, and is partially sighted as well as being a high fall risk. I chose Willow Tree Lodge because residents seemed happier than in other homes I visited. They were in their own clothes. There was more of a community centre and homely feel about the place and it has a nice garden and views. Most of all the staff seem very caring and conscientious and with a good sense of humour.

Our mum has only been a resident for a few weeks but we have found all the staff very caring, efficient and friendly and always on hand to help or just have a friendly chat with the residents.
The overall appearance is very welcoming, enhanced with vases of fresh flowers. The bedroom is nicely furnished, the lounge is bright and sunny overlooking a lovely garden and all areas are spotlessly clean.

There is a programme of varied activities. I have been made to feel more than welcome when visiting and was able to share a lovely dinner with mum.

My wife is very happy that she has found a home where her mother is safe and well looked after. As the home is fairly close to where we live we tend to pop-in as we are passing, often in the evenings as well as at weekends; whatever the time of day the staff in the home appear friendly and helpful. We have also had to take my mother-in-law for hospital visits and the home had been excellent at working out early/late meals and other requirements - nothing seems too much trouble. Given the nature of her dementia it is refreshing to witness the care and respect the staff pay to her, it has also been of great comfort to my wife that she has been able to discuss her mother's conflicting emotions and condition with the staff in an open caring manner to ensure the best possible care is given.

I am always greeted with a smile by very friendly staff. The management team are always willing to listen, talk and reassure when I am having a difficult situation with Mum. All the rooms are bright and fresh and It's good to be able to use the conservatory when we visit Mum. Mum is always very complimentary about the food and enjoys trips out in the minibus. I feel very relieved we found such a lovely home for Mum to be cared for in.

With viewing many care homes and having a bad experience with one I was very uneasy to be placing my father into another. But instantly on our visit, I could see relax happy residents and professional well-uniformed staff making it clear who was who from the start. From personal experience elderly like routine and this is the place. Exceptionally well maintained and pristine clean fresh and well supervised. It really is more like a Hotel/cruise ship with an outlook from a conservatory as if the front of the boat. A beautiful holiday and restful stay for your family or spouse who deserves the best.

After visiting many homes in the area Willow Tree Lodge stood out for us in terms of meeting our mother's care needs and maintaining her personal dignity.

From the outset, family and visitors were impressed by the way in which all staff cared for my mother and treated every resident and visitor.

We were confident that Mother was receiving the best possible 24-hour care in a safe, clean and happy environment. She enjoyed the company of residents, entertainment programme and excellent, home cooked food. The staff were quick to contact a Doctor when needed and ensured appropriate action was taken.

We have no reservations in recommending the purpose-built Willow Tree Lodge as an outstanding care home. Not only did the staff meet Mother's needs but they ensured that our family was well informed of her health and well-being while she was alive. Our Mother was fortunate to spend her final days at Willow Tree when unable to be cared for at home.

Having looked at many homes in the area for my 91-year-old Mother, this one stood out right from the first visit.

We always chose to do the first contact visit during meal times as these are the most labour intensive time for the staff and if there was a weakness it would be highlighted. Well, we were most impressed with what we observed with the attitude of the staff to us and the residents that we knew there and then it was a good-un. The at-home assessment of mum was very professional but carried out in a caring way and mum took to Sarah and was happy to go to "live in her house".

It was nice to visit mum at Willowtree as she was always clean and well presented and until the end was alert and with it, joining in with the activities. A great thing is If you let the kitchen know a day in advance you can stay for lunch or dinner and I can say that it was restaurant quality food and plenty of it.

Willow Tree Lodge is a home where, from my observations over a period of nearly 4 years, the staff are genuinely concerned about the welfare of residents. My mother now has severe Alzheimers but nonetheless remains happy at the home. She is treated with respect for her dignity. The home contact me at any time she is unwell or needs to see the dentist perhaps. Whenever I request help from the management and staff, over any matter I am having difficulty over in connection with my mother's residency, I obtain complete co-operation and advice where necessary. The efforts that have been made during the current festive period to ensure that a happy and festive atmosphere prevailed have in my view been outstanding.

My mother-in-law has been at Willow Tree Lodge for 3 months now and I have been very impressed with the level of care provided by all the staff. The team are managed very well by the senior staff and all the staff seem to really make an effort to understand each resident and what their needs are. The staff are very good at encouraging individuals to make as much progress as they can while recognising that they may have limitations.

The home always feels very welcoming and there is a lovely atmosphere. We are very happy with the care provided and have no complaints or concerns at this stage. I also know that if I need to raise any issues at all, the senior team are always available to listen.

We live in Spain so our visits to the home are probably only a couple of times a year but I am in contact with home and always feel confident that my Mother is being looked after so well by the staff who understand and are trained for her condition.
I also keep in touch with my sisters who visit every week, twice a week and get updated reports from then and their reports are always of the best standard for her.

I am happy to know that at the age of 94 she is in the best place for the rest of her days and I am grateful for that.

What makes this care home so special is the staff. The managers, the caring staff, the catering and the housekeeping staff are just wonderful. They are kind, warm, respectful, patient, compassionate and even on difficult days they work as a team for the best interest of the residents. They are amazing people who deserve all the praise they get. They look after my Mum like she was their Mum. That is the best recommendation I can give and I am so grateful for that.

Well done willow tree and thank you. At times when I have found things difficult they have supported me as well so bless you.
