Everything we (my wife who was there for Respite Care + I) encountered was excellent. On entry, the welcome was immediate + warm. The staff took trouble in ensuring that the room was arranged to suit my wife's needs. During her week's stay, staff were caring, pleasant + attentive to her. The Care Home itself was spotless, and well designed, giving a feeling of spaciousness, If one has to stay in a Care Home, this is the one to choose!

My father-in-law has settled into this home extremely well over the last month. This is mainly down to the wonderfully caring and personal staff and the safe, relaxed atmosphere they create. He often likens his new home to a nice hotel, with lovely people!

My Grandad has dementia and was moved to Oak Grange about a month ago. He's settled in so well and couldn't be happier! The staff are all so lovely and caring for him and we all have a good laugh whenever I visit. There's plenty of activities that take place and the overall atmosphere is nice and relaxing - perfect for my Grandad and for visitors like myself - especially when there's cake on offer! A massive thanks to all the wonderful staff who take such good care of my Grandad - it is much appreciated!

My wife was admitted to Oak Grange with Alzheimers and mobility problems in July 2022 and was resident there until her death in January 2026. The care there was of a high order. The staff liked her and after a settling in period she was happy there, and forget she had another home (but didn't forget me, I visited her almost every day).

The lovely garden is a great asset. There is a good range of activities but the strength of Oak Grange is the personal care and the good relationships between staff and residents.

Thank you so much for leaving us a review, i will ensure this is shared with all the care team who looked after your wife. We arrived at Oak Grange unexpectedly to view the place and the staff we met whilst there were friendly and helpful. Our family member has moved in now and everything went smoothly as any questions or requests we had were dealt with. As my family member was a little nervous about mixing with other residents at first they were gently encouraged and now seems happy to join in.

I was fortunate that Oak Grange had respite care available coincident with my aunt's need to move from hospital. The management staff were outstanding in communicating with me about availability and assessment of my aunt, both when I was able to attend in person and from my home in Canada. Following the four week period we determined that she was unable to return to independent living at home and chose to stay at Oak Grange. My aunt has a lovely room with an exceptionally lovely view of the country outside, the option to eat in community in a lovely dining room, or to take some meals in her own room. The care she receives is outstanding from the staff and personal attendants. I left the UK feeling that she is in caring hands with a staff that are proactive in communicating with me on her wellbeing. It is a great comfort to know that she is safe and content at Oak Grange in my absence.

My wife was admitted to Oak Grange under continuing end of life palliative care funded by NHS. She was there for 2 months intil she sadly passed away and during this time received exemplary care. All the staff including catering staff, health care assistants and Nursing staff were fantastic.
We were very impressed with the care she received whilst she was at Oak Grange.
It helped that she had a lovely peaceful room big enough to accommodate family overlooking a beautiful garden.

My wife and family were treated with great care, dignity, compassion and respect which made a very difficult time easier to bear, for this we all thank you.

My husband had to be admitted for Dementia. My niece and I chose this home as it was well situated for friends and family and was well thought of. I intended initially to come for a week to help settle him in. I decided to stay as at 93 the thought of tunning a home and visiting my husband was overwhelming. I have never regretted it for a moment, everyone has been so very kind and helpfull, the care has been excellent, medical and everyday and though I miss my home, this is rapidly becoming a replacement

I found Oak Grange by accident (I was referred by another Barchester home). The moment I walked in and met one member of staff, in particular, I knew this was the place, and within a couple of days my wife was installed in a delightful room, looking onto the garden. Because my wife was immobile the staff came to her. They were very caring and attentive and the member of staff we met when we arrived/the head of memory lane gave me regular updates on her condition and any significant events. My wife was very happy and had a peaceful ending. I can't praise this home and it's staff any more highly.

The staff are excellent, faultless.
The weekdays are run better than the weekend, when my mother says they are understaffed. This is very noticeable.
The dining room is noisy.

Again - staff excellent.

The care that my friend received was of the highest quality in every way. Although my friend was only there for seven days, they were truly the best last days of her life they could possibly be.
The whole leadership team, through to every single member of staff that I encountered was exemplary.

I was deeply impressed and full of gratitude.

Our expereince of the care home was extremely positive. Mum was encouraged to move about, her personal hygiene was well attended to and she ate and drank more regularly.
She looked better than she had since her fall, and her grandson said "she looked like a woman with dignity".

Whilst she was encouraged to participate socially, her wishes were respected.

Mum has been at Oak Grange for nearly two years now. My sister and I are extremely pleased with her care and the lovely atmosphere. All the staff from reception, carers and support staff are all friendly, efficient and very caring, so visiting feels like a pleasure. Mum is happy and content. Everyone seems to know her name and the care staff have come to understand her needs, her likes and dislikes and her personality very well. We also feel as relatives very well supported and can relax knowing she is such a caring and safe place.

Hello, I’m Georgia, and I’m the General Manager at Oak Grange Care Home.

I have been a registered nurse for six years, building my experience in supporting people to live happy, fulfilling lives. Before joining Oak Grange, I worked as a Deputy Manager within another Barchester care home, where I developed valuable leadership and management skills.

I am passionate about delivering high-quality care and creating a warm, welcoming environment for our residents, families, and team members. I believe that strong relationships, kindness, and open communication are at the heart of exceptional care, and my door is always open to anyone who would like to speak with me.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Oak Grange family and look forward to working alongside our dedicated team to continue providing the highest standards of care and making a positive difference to the lives of those we support.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking part in Morris dancing, which is a hobby I have loved for many years.

I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Oak Grange.

Hello, my name is Becca and I am the Administration Assistant at Oak Grange, I will likely be one of the first faces you see when you arrive at the home and you’ll always receive a cheery smile and a warm welcome.

I have been part of the team since 2022 when I joined as a part-time General Assistant whilst studying my A Levels. I have worked in most departments so have knowledge from all perspectives and I am able to share this with potential families/residents when they visit.

In September 2023 I was delighted to be appointed as Admin Assistant and the opportunity to continue my education in Business Studies, NVQ Level 3. I feel valued and part of the team and love that I can grow and develop in such a wonderful nurturing environment.
