Admiral Court is an extremely lovely place. The residents are looked after and cared for in such a good way. The staff are very attentive, from the receptionist, care assistants and even management.

My friend has been in this home for over 6 years. I cannot speak too highly of the care and help she has received. A great deal of appreciation must go to the dedicated staff where kindness and affection goes a long way. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The nurses are very kind also and any query
I have is quickly dealt with. I visit every day and see a lot of care and it really is a pleasure to see it so clean and all the residents looking clean and tidy.

From the first meeting, my experience with Admiral Court has been a positive one, and in what's been the hardest time of my life, the staff at Admiral Court have helped me cope and cared for my dad with love, dignity and respect. We could not have wished for more from the home, and find comfort in knowing
we put dad in the best place possible. Well done to the staff, management and owners of Hallmark.

Can only describe Admiral Court as wonderful. My loved one is looked after so well. Safe and clean and eating well now. As for the staff and carers here you couldn't find a more welcoming place. Everyone says hello and deals with any concerns that you have. Love the coffee shop where I can take mum
and sit and talk to her. Would recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for somewhere for their loved one to be looked after.

The home has a lovely atmosphere about it. All the residents seem very happy - testament in itself that they are well looked after. The home has recently undergone a full refurbishment which has raised an already high standard. My father has settled in well. There is lots of social and private areas
allowing family and friends to enjoy spending time with each other.

A warm, friendly atmosphere, caring environment. Could be improved with extra personal care checks but all in my mother has always been treated with lots of love. Even when you can see staff are busy they always take time to give mum a friendly chat and cuddle.

In February our mother was bought to Admiral Court to live as clearly she was unable to manage at home alone after our father died. The home ticked all the boxes for her and so well looked after and cared for.
Excellent staff who clearly love their jobs and the excellent care of looking after the residents.
Brilliant loving home.

Lovely looking place but always seems understaffed. I do not believe you get the level of care that you pay for. Not enough activities done with residents. Events we have attended have been good.

I do like the environment it is very welcoming and friendly, however, I do find that my grandfather doesn't necessarily get the level of care he needs. He is a very social man but is often left in his room when he much prefers to be among others. I have also found on occasion that he is still in bed
past breakfast. For the amount of money paid I would expect there is more for him to do and more staff to enable him to take part in day to day life and activities. Events I have been to have been good as they are planned in advance so you would expect it to be.

I moved dad from his previous care home in Feb of this year. The level of care, communication between staff and family and respect shown by staff is exemplary. Dad is treated with dignity and helped in a caring manner throughout the day and not ordered about in a rushed stern manner. All staff are extremely
friendly to family members and know who my dad is.

As a visitor, it's great. I am treated well by all staff.
They always have a smile on their face and always seem pleased to see you.
Resident feels more traditional food would be nice. Food seems to be food which is not always seen elsewhere.

Dad has been at Admiral Court for 2 years now.
He has been well looked after and we are always kept informed of his situation and if there have been any issues with dad's health.
His room is always clean and he is happy at Admiral Court. Although he is less able to join in activities than he used
to be, the staff ensure that he is still involved whenever possible.

This care home is more like a hotel. The staff are so polite and very caring towards the residents. My auntie has really settled well after her initial confusion. She always looks very well although today she was a little untidy. Her glasses are missing and I have reported it to the staff and they have
assured me that they will find them.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.803)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.803) out of 10 for Hallmark Admiral Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.903 for Hallmark Admiral Court is calculated as follows: ( (169 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 186 Ratings = 4.903
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hallmark Admiral Court is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2025

With over 25 years in social care, I’m proud to be General Manager at Admiral Court Care Home, where my passion for care truly comes to life.

I joined Hallmark after being inspired by its focus on living well with dementia — and I’ve never looked back. Every day is different, filled with teamwork, energy, and purpose. I love supporting others to grow, creating a happy and safe home for residents and staff alike. Outside work, I enjoy time with my family, travelling, swimming, and relaxing with a good film and a glass of wine.

Job Title: Customer Relationship Manager

I am very humbled to have a job where I get to help families and loved ones on their journey in making a very difficult decision to come into care, easier.

I always wanted to make a positive difference in someone’s life, even if just a little, being a Customer Relationship Manager helps me do this every day. Taking a little of the emotional burden they are feeling away, but most of all letting them know they are not alone and I am here to walk that journey with them, side by side.

To make a difference to someone’s life is a truly special position to be in. My job enables me to do this every day. I love what I do.
