My relative has been at Mill View for 18 months. In all that time I can not fault the caring and professional staff who go above and beyond at all times and in all situations. The care home provides a welcoming, safe, and well equipped indoor and outdoor environment for both the residents and visiting
families. The leisure staff are amazing at providing imaginative and fun activities throughout the day often providing tailor-made activities for residents based on their own individual interests and needs. Regular updates enable the care team, professionals, and relatives the opportunity to ensure that the best possible provision is put in place for residents. Relatives feel that they are involved in their loved one's care. I am truly grateful for the exceptional care that my relative is receiving at Mill View.

We were recommended to Mill View by Elizabeth's home carer. We dropped in unannounced and we were met and welcomed straight away. Reception controlled the entrance doors and first impressions were of a bright, cheerful and clean reception area. and lovely cafetoria.
A management team member met us,
listened to our needs and immediately gave a full rundown of the care home followed by an inspection of the facilities and bedrooms. We felt very much at ease and were impressed by the demeanour of all the staff. Everyone greeted us with smiles and there was a genuine relaxed and happy feel.
The bedroom was a good size, clean and well decorated with a good sized en-suite attached with a good countryside view. The dining room was in full swing and there was a selection of delicious looking meals. The lounge and dining rooms had large windows with lovely views of the country setting. There was always some sort of entertainment or event going on.
All the patients looked clean and settled. We knew straight away that Elizabeth would be well cared for and would feel at home and I had no hesitation in choosing Mill View for my sister's care.

Had a lovely visit to see my very dear friend! Great to have the Cafe Shop for a coffee with my friend - all staff made me feel very welcome! Lovely Lady playing the harp which was is nice to hear and made everything feel very relaxed! The 'Happy Hairdresser' was chatting kindly to the residents and
she individually did their hair! Can't think of a nicer place to be if you have to be in Care Home. Nice lot of activities for residents too.

Mill View has provided excellent care to my mother since she arrived last April. The care and support she has received has been second to none and it has given me, my father and the rest of our family, peace of mind in the knowledge that my mother is comfortable, safe and happy. The staff, at all levels,
are fun loving whilst displaying a very high degree of professionalism and a full understanding of what excellent caring and safeguarding really look like. During my frequent visits to my mother, I regularly see staff show empathy to the residents, recognising their different needs and often going the extra mile to make a difference to the residents' experience in Mill View. I can't recommend Mill View enough!

My mother spent her last 18 months at Mill View. I can honestly say that my family and I were blown away by the level of care, professionalism, expertise and compassion that all the staff displayed, pretty much all of the time.
When we know there is a 'crisis' affecting the industry, it is a pleasure
to be able to write a positive review. I'm not quite sure how the leadership at Mill View constantly maintain an inclusive culture, but they do.

I highly recommend Mill View. I stayed for 2 weeks respite care. The staff are caring and the attention given is excellent. There is a wide choice of tasty meals. The coffee shop and lounge area at the entrance makes a pleasant welcome for visitors and residents.

Very impressed with our initial experience of Mill View. The staff are so friendly, willing to help and willing to listen to any concerns. The home itself is airy and bright, unlike other care home we visited. Mum's room is well appointed with a little patio area she will be able to sit outside in warmer
weather. All of the visitors Mum has had have contacted me to say how lovely Mill View is and how much more relaxed she seems to be. We have already been very confident in recommending Mill View to a friend who has been searching for a good care home for their elderly parent.

My father came/chose Mill View as his home for the last five years. He lived downstairs for the first couple of years but sadly, started to develop dementia after having a minor stroke and had to move upstairs for more personal care. My dad absolutely loved it at Mill View and always told me how wonderful
the place was and how happy he was. He sadly passed away two weeks ago at the age of 92 but the staff were amazing, as always, to the very end.

Unfortunately, my mother passed away in December 2023 at Mill View Care Home. I cannot thank the staff enough. They were all so supportive and showed the utmost respect. Whilst my mother was alive she enjoyed all the wonderful facilities on offer. She was cared for with such kindness and professionalism.

Having reviewed five homes in the area, we opted for Mill View and have not been disappointed. The level of care is excellent and the staff strive to make the residents feel relaxed and welcome. There is a full schedule of activities for all residents should they wish to partake and encourage them to
do so. The menu is varied and prepared to an excellent standard. In short, I feel we chose well and dad has settled in well. We made the right choice!

This residential care home is well managed, staffed by enthusiastic and well-trained staff, clean, safe and responsive and supplies excellent residential care within a modern building some fifteen minutes walk from the centre of East Grinstead. Rooms are somewhat larger than average for the area and
incorporate an en suite wet room. The activities for residents are well-organised and varied. The lounges, gardens, cinema, dining room, coffee shop, cleaning, individual care, hairdressing, podiatry, opticians and dentistry services are all excellent.
Probably the key to the quality of care is the philosophy that the staff come in to work in the resident’s own home, and this translates into really imaginative and consistently high-quality care.

Job Title: Home Manager

I am a dual-qualified and registered adult and children’s nurse with 40 years of experience. I spent 25 years in the NHS in a variety of roles, from Registered General Nurse to Paediatric Ward Manager. I left the NHS in 2007 after completing a Level 5 Leadership and Management course in order to manage a care home.


Being a Home Manager carries huge responsibilities. You have to be a good communicator and have a passion for caring for others. However busy it gets, I take the time to walk around the home and speak with residents, relatives and colleagues. It always reminds me of what differences we're making in people’s lives. My team is amazing, and I look forward to working with them every day.


When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my husband and two rescue dogs who we adore. When I can, I also like to travel up north to see my children and grandson. But most days you’ll find me pottering in the garden or curled up with a good book.
