I find the Langford View Care Home very good. When I first arrived on 21st May last year I could hardly walk and had to be hoisted in and out of bed. With the help of the carers and a frame, I am now able to walk up and down the corridor on my own. All the staff are very helpful.

I have found my husband comfortable and happy most of the time. The only problem I have been aware of is his inability to sit comfortably in his armchair which I have now replaced with the reclining chair he used at home. All staff members have been kind and attentive whenever I visited and indeed made me welcome and at ease.

Excellent care, both physical and emotional. Activities organised are varied and interesting. Always made to feel welcome as extended family. Communications to family about care/women prompt. Available to discuss and place next steps. All the staff, regardless of role, are professional, friendly and caring. A great place. Well done, and thank you to everyone. PS, speed at which we could Skype during the first lockdown - excellent.

The staff at Langford View are great. Dad is well looked after and cared for, which makes things much easier for the rest of the family. It's nice that there are more male staff now. Visiting is easier, new Covid is less prevalent - so once to be able to visit more often and it's easier to do so.

Review from Brian M (Son of Resident) published on 4 February 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Mother stayed at Langford View for over 8 years until her passing in January 2022. Throughout, she has been kept warm, comfortable, safe, and well cared for. Langford View is modern and the rooms with integral ensuite are furnished to a high standard. However, it is the nursing, caring, support, and admin staff who give the home the excellent atmosphere, and the teamwork is commendable. The staff are efficient, friendly, and purposeful. Indeed, a few carers, who became well known by my mother, were instrumental in establishing a firm and endearing bond with my mother, and they helped her general demeanour and quality of life. The lead carers work hard to ensure that individual resident nursing and care needs are met, and are adapted to meet each resident's requirements. I strongly recommend Langford View and am so grateful to the house manager and staff for all the support they have given to my mother and to me and my family.

Since my mother became a resident at Langford View, she has received excellent support and care from the entire team. More recently, when my brother died, the support that my family, my mother and I had to help us inform my mother of her son's death was first class. A huge thank you to everyone involved. Staff are caring and compassionate and have shown exceptional resilience in COVID times. Dad is well cared for and very happy and settled. He has praised the catering staff, and in better times, thoroughly enjoyed the activities laid on by the entertainment manager which involved family and friends. Most recently he has appreciated the lovely garden saying everywhere you look there's something to see. It's a lovely care home.

We felt that mum was well looked after, giving us much peace of mind. We thought she looked better with a regular routine, mealtime and bedtime, etc. Due to her dementia, she has been very confused at home and the staff were all very caring and kind to her.
