Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and

We currently have a welcome offer available for new residents funding their own care at Langford View. The offer includes free hairdresser/barber services, chiropody, daily newspaper of your choice and toiletry gift set on arrival.

Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

It is only the second week that my father-in-law has been here. All the staff are very good and caring and the care home is clean and bright. I am very pleased with this situation and I am sure that my father-in-law is being well cared for. Only concern is the high cost as there is little help from
the government towards payment, I do understand why the costs are high.

When looking for a nursing home for my mother, it was the most stressful, emotional and difficult time. She had always been so independent and enjoyed life to the full. Then six weeks before her 100th Birthday all changed she broke her hip. Then the downward slide. Then we knew she needed 24 hour care.
Many care homes later we were introduces to St John's. We were very impressed with the way the home conducted their home, making us feel welcome and in a caring home. It has been a turning point for my mother. She has gained strength and is well fed, clean, and so much more. I shall always be grateful that somebody mentioned the Order of St Johns. Thank you ( I wanted to share this with you)

The Team at Langford View not only cared for my mother in law with great dignity and respect they also took the time and trouble to support us as a family. My mother in law has dementia and at times would be extremely confused especially at night but the staff were always patient and were extremely
kind. The staff always ensured that my mother in law was clean and tidy and kept us fully informed of her progress. The team always let us know when she had a fall or was ill so we felt confident in leaving her in their care.

The staff were very helpful and carried out their duties with great care and consideration to my mother. Showing kindness and dignity at all times. The home was well maintained and all my mothers needs were met.

Mum has settled in very well and seems very happy. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. There is always different things going on. The rooms are very clean and homely.

Most wonderful experience visiting my grandmother. Warm, helpful welcome upon arrival. Residents engaged in meaningful activities. Environment clean, spacious, bright and odourless! The most amazing care assistant engaging with residents - warm, caring, respectful attitude. Absolutely wonderful.

I have to be admitted to a home in the future I very much hope it is of the standard of this one.

My mother has been at Langford view for many years. She has always been treated with dignity and care for all her needs. Because of her Dementia it is hard for her to Recognise her family now, which his all so hard for us, but to know that all her needs are looked after by the EXCELLENT care team.

Mum has been there since July 2012. Initially it was excellent. Over time still good, but this last year has gone down a lot. I can only speak for the frail care side. Saturday 31/10 I got there at 11am. She had just began to eat her porridge in the dining room, said she had woken up late - very possible.
Other residents were still there, having finished eating, just waiting. Residents are frequently there until after 11am from breakfast. I spoke to the nurse in charge, some months back and was told they all want to be moved as soon as they are finished eating, and it takes time as they need help. If Mum didnt like it she could have her breakfast in her room. Later she went and told Mum that. Around the same time a carer asked Mum if she wanted to just stay there for lunch, without going back to her room. She is incontinent and needs help for the toilet. She said no. On 3rd November I went back, got there at 11.30am. She was on the toilet (toilet/shower) in her room. Said she had been there ages and told me to ring, the carer would come back, she was busy. I rang a different carer, came pretty quickly. There was porridge, untouched in a bowl on her bed. She said she had woken late. She has Parkinsons, so should be woken earlier for medicines. She also has heart medicine. Sat 7th all was fine. Yesterday Sat 14th we got there about 12pm. She had no cushions behind her, she sits in an armchair in her room. The bell for her to ring for attention was the other side of her bed. With no cushions she slumps badly. I spoke to the nurse in charge and was told she can only ask the carers to do it. The cushions and bell are frequently lacking over these past few months. Some months back I spoke to the Manager about the residents frequently in the dining room so late in the morning, it improved for a while. She does not appear to have had tea and a biscuit if she wants it between breakfast and lunch for a long time. I do believe they must have shortages of carers at times, been told this was not so by the nurse in charge and that the residents are impatient to get back to their rooms. I appreciate that there are people who are bedridden and others, like Mum, who need someone with her all the time when she walks, and that it is slow and she cant get up or sit down unaided, and eats very slowly. She also doesn't ask for what she needs, but does tell me or her sister some of what happens. She does get muddled at times and time doesn't mean too much to her any more. There have been and are some really good staff there and the ones who are not nice, few. I am wary of complaining of these who are not nice for obvious reasons. Most are okay but obviously need either more checking on or proper training. We usually take something nice for her to eat or drink and often when she has been vague when we get there and she is brighter given a bit of time after eating and drinking. We are usually there in the morning.

Staff and management were always very helpful and courteous and always treated my mother with the utmost dignity. The home structure is large and very well laid out with all the facilities my mother needed. My mother was very happy at the care home and thought of it as her home. I have told many of
my friends that if they have an elderly relative that needs to be in a care home they should consider St Johns facilities first.

Patricia

Patricia Pita

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2020

Patricia Pita is the Home Manager of Langford View in Bicester, having been recently promoted from Deputy Manager at Isis House.


Patricia brings over 20 years of experience in nursing, with 14 years spent in the care sector. She joined the Trust as Unit Lead and progressed to Deputy Manager in 2020, followed by a 2025 promotion to Home Manager.


Patricia holds dual registration as a nurse, having completed both her Nursing Degree and postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing. This combination gives her a deep understanding of both physical and mental health needs, and she is passionate about delivering holistic, person-centred care.


Patricia is dedicated to empowering both residents and her team, and she brings warmth, compassion, and strong leadership to her role.


Outside of work, Patricia enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, and spending quality time with her family.

Tricia

Tricia Thomas

Job Title: Bursar

Tricia's role as Bursar at Langford View means that she is often at the centre of activity within the home.


Tricia is passionate about the high levels of care we provide at Langford View and she decided to take the step into her current role as Bursar after having been a care leader and achieving qualifications in Care Leading, Dementia and Management and then being the home's Admin Assistant.


Tricia is an expert in managing a busy workload and, among her many responsibilities, she supervises ancillary staff, arranges training, is responsible for ordering for the home in-line with budgets and ensures the smooth-running of day-to-day activities such as gardening, residents’ shopping and serving meals.


This expertise and willingness to help was recognised with two years’ nominations and one win for Oxfordshire Office Support of the Year within the Trust.


On special occasions and during fundraising activities you will often be able to see Tricia in full fancy dress, wearing a wig or even joining a conga around our car park! In her spare time, Tricia enjoys walking her dog and spending time with her family.

Emma

Emma Cottle

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Emma is Langford View’s Admin Assistant and will be the first to offer a very warm welcome to all visitors.


Emma enjoys the varied nature of the role, whether she is organising staff rotas, reviewing residents’ financial accounts or showing round a new resident and their family.


Emma holds NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Care and brings nearly three decades of experience working in the care industry. Emma always knew she wanted to work in care and has held a number of different roles within the Trust. Emma finds her current role rewarding because of the difference she knows it makes to the lives of Langford View residents. She likes nothing more than to hear residents laugh and seeing the smiles on their faces; particularly if she is dressed up for charity!


Emma likes to spend her spare time with her grandchildren and tending to her garden.
