We currently have a welcome offer available for new residents funding their own care at Langford View. The offer includes free hairdresser/barber services, chiropody, daily newspaper of your choice and toiletry gift set on arrival.

Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

From the time we looked around the home to the time my father passed away, it felt like home. At all times I was kept informed of my father's welfare. Everyone was kind, considerate and respectful. All the staff were amazing, talking to my father and myself. When he went into hospital everyone kept
me informed and he was welcomed back for his final few days.
The manager, the staff who looked after him before all came to see him. Every kindness was shown to my daughter and myself as we stayed with him for his final 4 days. Thank you.
I would recommend highly, Langford View.

My sister and I cannot believe the change in our elderly father since moving into Langford View. He has his twinkly eyes back and is enjoying life again. He settled in quickly thanks to the amazing staff and happily joins in with a wide range of activities. He told us the staff have done wonders and

We have visited the home twice, bringing child/children. Staff have been very welcoming and warm.
Residents were very happy to see the children and seem content in their surroundings and with activities offered to them.
We enjoy visiting and will be coming regularly.

My mother has been at Langford for around a year now and I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We moved my Mum as we felt she was declining at the previous facility. There has been a marked improvement in her general health since that time. My Mum
is not always easy and I find the staff deal with this exceptionally well.

Last year it was decided that my 94-year-old mum required full-time nursing care. When I first stepped into Langford View I was impressed with the warmth and friendliness that surrounds the building. Mum has been in another care home on a temporary basis so we have somewhere to compare with. Mum has
settled in at Langford View and is very happy there. She has recently said, "The carers are now her friends". That is all I could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and always done with a smile.

My mother first came to stay in March 2017. Langford View became her home until her death on 14th April 2018. Mum got to know here carers very well in the past 12/13 months. As a family, we have been very happy with the support from the Langford View staff.

A family member has been in Langford View since November 2017. The rooms are very pleasant and there is nice scenery.

The care home is clean, friendly and safe. As soon as I walked in I knew the environment was the right one for my mother-in-law. The staff are fantastic and incredibly caring and the staff treat patients as individuals and with respect and dignity. I felt that nothing was too much trouble. Even when
my mother-in-law was behaving in a stubborn and cantancerous way the staff showed immense patience and care. I am so relieved we have secured a place in an excellent home.

My mother-in-law does not like to socialise with other residents despite encouragement from my husband and I. She prefers to remain isolated in her room depending on family visits, outings and T.V. For entertainment. Therefore the manager arranged for a French language student fo visit for a conversation
with my mother-in-law. She is fluent in French, Flemish and English and speaks some German. This allows her a chance to use her language skills and to communicate in a fun way. At 93 years old she has become forgetful at times, but remembers languages really well, which increases her feelings of self-worth and confidence when able to use these skills. We are most grateful for this opportunity by the manager which shows care and thought to individual needs. The French student also benefits so we hope this will continue for both.

In the main all the staff are good. The home seems/appears to be understaffed as at times you are not able to find a carer/nurse when needed. Some of the staff you have the impression that they do not care. The home seems to be a little dishevelled and untidy. The lounge could be better set up, cleanliness
is ok but only after speaking to the manager. I visit daily to be sure that my husband is being looked after, personal hygiene not good on a daily basis.

From the start of the week, until the end, we have met with such kind, thoughtful staff who willingly move schedules and jump hoops to help us take our gran on outings or fit in to give meals a little early. They have been very proactive in checking what we needed to get gran out and about and friendly
to us. We can see how genuinely they care about what they do and are such a blessing to all who they care for.


Thank you all so much, they also go out of their way to organise taxis, special appointments, early starts, late nights and helping when we aren't around with setting up DVD's and Skype.

Patricia

Patricia Pita

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2020

Patricia Pita is the Home Manager of Langford View in Bicester, having been recently promoted from Deputy Manager at Isis House.


Patricia brings over 20 years of experience in nursing, with 14 years spent in the care sector. She joined the Trust as Unit Lead and progressed to Deputy Manager in 2020, followed by a 2025 promotion to Home Manager.


Patricia holds dual registration as a nurse, having completed both her Nursing Degree and postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing. This combination gives her a deep understanding of both physical and mental health needs, and she is passionate about delivering holistic, person-centred care.


Patricia is dedicated to empowering both residents and her team, and she brings warmth, compassion, and strong leadership to her role.


Outside of work, Patricia enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, and spending quality time with her family.

Tricia

Tricia Thomas

Job Title: Bursar

Tricia's role as Bursar at Langford View means that she is often at the centre of activity within the home.


Tricia is passionate about the high levels of care we provide at Langford View and she decided to take the step into her current role as Bursar after having been a care leader and achieving qualifications in Care Leading, Dementia and Management and then being the home's Admin Assistant.


Tricia is an expert in managing a busy workload and, among her many responsibilities, she supervises ancillary staff, arranges training, is responsible for ordering for the home in-line with budgets and ensures the smooth-running of day-to-day activities such as gardening, residents’ shopping and serving meals.


This expertise and willingness to help was recognised with two years’ nominations and one win for Oxfordshire Office Support of the Year within the Trust.


On special occasions and during fundraising activities you will often be able to see Tricia in full fancy dress, wearing a wig or even joining a conga around our car park! In her spare time, Tricia enjoys walking her dog and spending time with her family.

Emma

Emma Cottle

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Emma is Langford View’s Admin Assistant and will be the first to offer a very warm welcome to all visitors.


Emma enjoys the varied nature of the role, whether she is organising staff rotas, reviewing residents’ financial accounts or showing round a new resident and their family.


Emma holds NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Care and brings nearly three decades of experience working in the care industry. Emma always knew she wanted to work in care and has held a number of different roles within the Trust. Emma finds her current role rewarding because of the difference she knows it makes to the lives of Langford View residents. She likes nothing more than to hear residents laugh and seeing the smiles on their faces; particularly if she is dressed up for charity!


Emma likes to spend her spare time with her grandchildren and tending to her garden.
