an agreed hourly charge for this service.

In the past few weeks, my mother has had her hair set, listened to gong music, attended a dementia cafe and been to a garden centre - all arranged by Knebworth care home. The staff work hard, especially if they are able to work in conjunction with the resident's family. Vulnerable residents with complex
care needs require the management, nurses, care staff, chef, laundry, activities, reception and family to work together! The Knebworth team are excellent and I recommend them.

My mother came to Knebworth care home on respite for 2 weeks whilst we were on holiday. The care home were extremely professional from my first enquiry and organising my mother's admittance. Mum settled in quickly and seems to have been happy during her stay. I would be very happy for Mum to spend respite
at the home again or to become a permanent resident should she want to.
I have up dates from a friend who visited Mum during her stay who confirmed that Mum was happy and content during her stay.

Our mum had a 3-week respite stay here after her health and mobility had been decreasing consistently alone at home, and it brought out her social smiley old self again! She made a few friends quickly and really got on well with some of the staff too. There always seemed to be staff about to help or
talk to if needs be, and they were usually happy to do so. Realistically she needs more day-to-day help like this going forward, and so if she agrees we would definitely consider Knebworth care home at the top of the list for permanent residence.

During my cousin's stay here at Knebworth the staff have always been courteous, caring and engaging during my visits and always helpful. More importantly, my cousin seemed contented here in so many ways and the care and atmosphere seemed to dispel, at least on the surface, the worries and doubts of

When our mother/nan was discharged from hospital she was completely bedridden. She was welcomed into the home by all the team. They restored her dignity by washing and dressing her everyday. They were very kind to her explaining about being hosted into a reclining chair which enabled her to sit and
enjoy activities and entertainment. We have been overwhelmed by the exceptional care and support by everyone. The team made us feel welcome and showed empathy and compassion.
We will never be able to thank you all enough.

If you are considering a care home for a loved one, I would not hesitate to recommend Knebworth. What a team! My mother's care is amazing. She is so happy. What a relief that is to the whole family. The GP practice attached to the home is extremely helpful and caring. Well done.

My husband appears to have settled well and is comfortable. The staff are kind and helpful and have been good at phoning me at home if there seems to be any problems.
He always looks clean and well kept. He has become slightly more alert but is still confused at times. It would be nice if he could
sit in the lounge a little more often if at all possible. I am happy with the care he is receiving up until now.

Since our dear dad's admission on to the nursing floor in October, we have found the care by the staff to be second to none.

Our son-in-law has been in the Home for 5.7 years with a terminal illness. He has been incapacitated from the start, unable to mobilise, feed himself, turn in bed, and has been treated with gentleness, respect, and care by all members of staff. He has not even had a pressure sore. The manager changed
soon after he arrived and has made a tremendous difference to the efficiency and atmosphere of the Home. During the pandemic, the situation was well handled for both residents and families. Before choosing the Home we explored many others in the area and this stood out as exceptional. One test we had was whether a smell was evident on entering and at no time was that the case here. We cannot recommend Knebworth Care Home highly enough. We are thankful we found it and will miss visiting. We were made to feel part of a family. We visited several times a week and were always welcomed.

It has been a very difficult time for residents and relatives. The care home has always tried to keep everyone safe and relatives up to date. No easy task for them. Overall my poor husband could not be in a better place and my heartfelt thanks go to all the staff.

I was treated very well during my stay in Knebworth Care Home. The staff were kind and helpful. The physiotherapy was excellent and I was encouraged all the way. Owing to covid restrictions there were few activities to join in but Wimbledon on TV helped to fill the gap. There was excellent coordination
between the home and my local authority Social Services so that my home was ready for me to return home to and stair rails, bath board were soon delivered and fitted and today grab rails were fitted to outside doors.

I joined Care UK in 2022 as a Deputy Manager after hearing amazing feedback from the public.


Being promoted to Home Manager in 2023 was a huge moment in my career. I’m a Registered Nurse and have achieved my level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care training.


As a Home Manager, it’s important to be professional, compassionate, hardworking and a team player. I love getting to the end of my shift when I can reflect on the day and all the tasks I accomplished. Working alongside amazing team members who are dedicated to delivering outstanding care to residents every day inspires me.
