other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

I am so glad I chose this care home for my parents. As a GP I have been in many care homes and this one definitely is the best one. The staff are approachable and committed to providing the residents with excellent care whilst respecting their dignity and wishes.
When my father became ill, they went
the extra mile to look after him and try to rehabilitate him back to independent living and when he was dying, allowed my brother, mother and I to be with him at the end -just after lockdown in April.
During these tough times the staff have worked hard to keep the residents safe and today was the first time I have seen my mother since that time-socially distanced in the garden - and it was wonderful!
I was worried that she may not recognise me - as she suffers from dementia -and that she would be stressed with having had no familiar family around her for months, but I could see that she had been well looked after and the staff had helped her grieve.
A true home from home amongst family.

From the first time we entered the home we have been treated with courtesy and made to feel welcome. The staff who look after my dad always have a smile and treat him with a friendly warmth, and show him a kindness which is much appreciated. They keep the family very well informed on his care, and this
provides us peace of mind that he is well looked after. Everyone, from office staff, reception and carers always try and help and are very supportive.

My friend and all her visitors have always been treated with the utmost care, friendliness and consideration. I have never heard her complain about anything. She repeatedly tells me how happy she is and how she enjoys the food. I do really appreciate the standards of this home and offer my congratulations.

The care given to my mother was beyond reproach. I can not thank them enough. The staff were so lovely, polite and caring. I would highly recommend this to all my friends and relatives. We could do with more places like this all over the country. Security was highly satisfactory.

All the staff I had contact with were polite and friendly and the care they gave was excellent. Any request for help was readily given. A good choice of food was available with hearty portions always served.
The bedroom was of a good size as was the en-suite facilities which were kept clean. My overall
experience of Knebworth care home was excellent.

My Great Auntie stayed with you following a serious fall and you made her last 3 weeks as good as they possibly could have been.
None of you could have done any more to encourage her to eat and drink, join in and to take her medication.

Placement for Mum from A&E while her broken arm is healing. She couldn't have wished for anything better than this friendly, modern care home.
Lovely room, excellent meals, I was able to share Christmas dinner with Mum and the other residents. All staff helpful, caring and professional - they went
out of their way to make Christmas special.

Mum (93) went for rehabilitation following a hip replacement. The facilities and the food were amazing. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful, understanding and competent. Mum had a great stay and left ready to cope at home following their help.

My mother was transferred from hospital to the home, for end of life care. Although only for a short period, during this time, she was treated with dignity, kindness and compassion. All members of staff were supportive and caring.

I had excellent care and enjoyed myself in the time I spent in Knebworth.
Too many cakes offered for pudding at lunchtime - often puddings required - too much cream, pouring cream better but on the whole satisfactory. Ask patients to write down their 6 favourite meals and use that as a guide. Different
age groups like different meals.

Job Title: Home Manager

I joined Care UK in 2022 as a Deputy Manager after hearing amazing feedback from the public.


Being promoted to Home Manager in 2023 was a huge moment in my career. I’m a Registered Nurse and have achieved my level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care training.


As a Home Manager, it’s important to be professional, compassionate, hardworking and a team player. I love getting to the end of my shift when I can reflect on the day and all the tasks I accomplished. Working alongside amazing team members who are dedicated to delivering outstanding care to residents every day inspires me.


When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.
