I am so glad I chose this care home for my parents. As a GP I have been in many care homes and this one definitely is the best one. The staff are approachable and committed to providing the residents with excellent care whilst respecting their dignity and wishes.
When my father became ill, they went the extra mile to look after him and try to rehabilitate him back to independent living and when he was dying, allowed my brother, mother and I to be with him at the end -just after lockdown in April.
During these tough times the staff have worked hard to keep the residents safe and today was the first time I have seen my mother since that time-socially distanced in the garden - and it was wonderful!
I was worried that she may not recognise me - as she suffers from dementia -and that she would be stressed with having had no familiar family around her for months, but I could see that she had been well looked after and the staff had helped her grieve.

A true home from home amongst family.

From the first time we entered the home we have been treated with courtesy and made to feel welcome. The staff who look after my dad always have a smile and treat him with a friendly warmth, and show him a kindness which is much appreciated. They keep the family very well informed on his care, and this provides us peace of mind that he is well looked after. Everyone, from office staff, reception and carers always try and help and are very supportive.

My friend and all her visitors have always been treated with the utmost care, friendliness and consideration. I have never heard her complain about anything. She repeatedly tells me how happy she is and how she enjoys the food. I do really appreciate the standards of this home and offer my congratulations. Long may it last.

The care given to my mother was beyond reproach. I can not thank them enough. The staff were so lovely, polite and caring. I would highly recommend this to all my friends and relatives. We could do with more places like this all over the country. Security was highly satisfactory.

All the staff I had contact with were polite and friendly and the care they gave was excellent. Any request for help was readily given. A good choice of food was available with hearty portions always served.

The bedroom was of a good size as was the en-suite facilities which were kept clean. My overall experience of Knebworth care home was excellent.

My Great Auntie stayed with you following a serious fall and you made her last 3 weeks as good as they possibly could have been.
None of you could have done any more to encourage her to eat and drink, join in and to take her medication.

I have to say we are all extremely grateful for the care and kindness you all showed her.

Placement for Mum from A&E while her broken arm is healing. She couldn't have wished for anything better than this friendly, modern care home.

Lovely room, excellent meals, I was able to share Christmas dinner with Mum and the other residents. All staff helpful, caring and professional - they went out of their way to make Christmas special.

My mother was transferred from hospital to the home, for end of life care. Although only for a short period, during this time, she was treated with dignity, kindness and compassion. All members of staff were supportive and caring.

I had excellent care and enjoyed myself in the time I spent in Knebworth.

Too many cakes offered for pudding at lunchtime - often puddings required - too much cream, pouring cream better but on the whole satisfactory. Ask patients to write down their 6 favourite meals and use that as a guide. Different age groups like different meals.

It is a lovely place. The care and attention that was given to my father by everyone at Knebworth Care Home have been wonderful. The staff have been helpful and professional and nothing is too much trouble for them for me or my father! Thank you, everyone, for all your help. Too many names to thank!
As my father said - More like a hotel than a care home!

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a care home.

My mother passed away at Knebworth Care Home. Every member of staff showed compassion and card about my mother and me. Little touches, many cups of tea, lunch and support provided when I stayed the night with my mother. Thoughtful staff going beyond the average. Thank you each and every one of you.

The carers here at Knebworth Care Home has been fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. What they have done is help my mother following a fall and the physio and attention she has required has been first class. The care home is spotless, clean and very much like a hotel. I had an idea that the care home would look like this. The staff have been helpful and professional. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a care home. Whether long or short stay. Thank you for all your help.

My husband went into Knebworth Care Home for 2 weeks of respite care in September. He has complex medical conditions and I was very happy with the care he received. The staff, at all levels, were friendly approachable and professional. Any queries I had were dealt with immediately. I feel it is difficult to get to know a client in just two weeks and it was a new experience for us as a family. I feel that I need to go into more detail about my husband's individual needs to help the staff give him the best care possible.

What a lovely place. More like a hotel than a care home. My husband had to stay for a while, after having an operation on his ankle, which was a non-weight-bearing injury. He couldn't use crutches or a frame and so had to have care for a short time after leaving hospital.
The staff were lovely and the rooms and food extremely good. As soon as my husband got there, we sat in the garden and he changed from being upset and sad to being bright and cheerful.

I would recommend this home to anyone and thank the staff for their kindness and care.

My husband was in Knebworth for almost one year. I couldn’t fault the care he received. All the staff seemed genuinely fond of him and couldn’t do enough for him. He had a good room with all the facilities you would need and a lovely view of the garden. It meant I could leave him each day knowing he would be well looked after.

Knebworth Care home provided a bright, warm, clean environment when my mother and other residents were treated with kindness and respect. Although my mother was there for only 4 weeks, she would certainly consider returning there should she need longer-term care. Care staff and management treated the family with patience and respect also.
