Excellent! The level of care and attention given to my mum throughout her time here was wonderful. Every member of staff treated Mum so personally, having spent a number of days staying with Mum, I was able to see this was reflected throughout the home to all the other residents, some of which were challenging. The friendliness and support afforded to Mum and my family were wonderful and so supportive at a difficult time as an organisation you should be very proud of this care home. I would have no hesitation to recommend them to others.

Mum seems to be happy at Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home. She is not very sociable so doesn't leave her room but she enjoys her artwork and the staff.

It was nice to have a tour of all areas as I had not seen some of the areas.
It was nice to see the home being spruced up bt would be nice to see some new furniture in the rooms. I feel that there is a shortage of staff on the floor, more funding should be provided for the home.
We are so happy with the car that Nan is given. She is always clean and tidy and treated with such kindness. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy. The staff are so amazing, always polite and the care is excellent. In my nan's words, "Everyone is brilliant and so kind and she can't praise the staff enough". Thank you to all the wonderful staff!

My sister and I had the misfortune of the loss of my father. With my mother having dementia, we could not look after and had to find a suitable care home. We thought this was going to be very traumatic. We had a recommendation. We chose Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home, Saltford. From the very first day. we could not have been more pleased with all staff at the home. Everybody within the first few days knew Mum's name. Whenever we too her out, all staff wished her well and would see her later. THe room was always clean and tidy but the best thing, for us, was Mum was happy to return, it made her short stay very easy. Big thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! Your comments will mean so much to the team. I will pass on your lovely feedback.
Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home has given excellent care for my husband on a number of occasions for different reasons, including recovery from serious illness and most recently, respite for myself having undergone minor surgery. The staff have given him excellent care at all times - always with good humour and a smile. They have kept me informed of how each day has gone and how my husband is getting on. The meals have been excellent and are the highlight of my husband's day.

Staff are kind and caring. They all know Mum's name and make and effort to talk to her. The activities provided make a huge difference to the quality of her life, even though she doesn't always remember taking part! Photos are a great idea to remind her. Management is friendly and approachable.

I have known my friend for fifty years and am very saddened to see physically and mentally. I have to say, I am delighted that my friend can spend the rest of her life in Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home. The care is excellent. The carers are wonderful and the care is wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and as a visitor, I have always been welcomed. Thanks to all involved.
I am more than happy with my friend's treatment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, it's great to hear that you are happy with the care and support we provide your friend.
My mother is well cared for and all her needs are met. The home is clean and welcoming. I am always well informed about my mother's progress and she seems very happy. Only thing not sure about is activities, but this may be due to me visiting in mornings.
I have been well looked after when I visit. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. I am relieved that my sister is living here.
Having visited the home only for a couple of weeks, the carer is perfect for her role, she is a caring young lady who shows initiative and strength in a very important job. She is a wonderful person, excellent at her job.
Overall standard good. Wish there was a therapy dog visiting, as the residents would relate well to animals in most cases. Food always very good standard. Gardens are well-kept and nice to walk round.

Meet the Team (11)

Hello, My name is Claudia and I am General Manager at Kingfisher Lodge.
My journey in caregiving began over a decade ago. For ten years, I dedicated myself as a carer, then earned my nursing qualification in 2018. Growing up without grandparents, I've always felt a deep-seated passion for ensuring the elderly and those in need receive the utmost care and support.
At Kingfisher Lodge, I maintain a close-knit relationship with both the nursing and care staff. This collaboration is pivotal in our commitment to delivering the exceptional care our residents deserve.
Whenever you're in our home, chances are you'll spot me. Please don't hesitate to say "Hello!"

Hi, I am Shania, and I am the Acting Deputy Manager here at Kingfisher Lodge Care Centre.
I am a UK qualified Nurse from India, and I completed my 4-year Nursing degree in 2020 in Punjab, India, before coming to the UK to study for my Master’s Degree in Health Services Management at the University of Chester.
I started my career at Kingfisher Lodge as a Carer and then became a Care Practitioner while studying for my nurse’s exams here in the UK.
My dedication, ambition and passion for nursing are what drive me, and I have a thirst for knowledge that will always keep me striving to be the best advocate for our residents, staff and the services that we provide.
I believe it is crucial to have a good relationship with residents, family members and staff, so please if you see me around our home, don’t hesitate to say hello and ask me any questions you may have.
