My sister was a resident for two years or more, and throughout this difficult time (Covid), she was well looked after. The staff were always helpful, and there was a friendly atmosphere around whenever we came. The staff used my sister's Christian name, which made us feel they knew and cared. Thank you for this care you gave her, I know how she was during these two years, but she never seemed agitated in her surroundings, so thank you.

My husband has not been in Jubilee Lodge for more than two weeks. I have to say, the food is good, and plenty of it - also the staff are so kind, thoughtful and caring - cannot do too much to help my husband, who has had a very difficult stroke. Everyone there seems pleasant, always coming ASAP when called.

The standard of care and the overall atmosphere at the home has improved enormously in the past few months. We have, as a family, had some very serious concerns about the care, cleanliness and management at Jubillee Lodge over the past couple of years, but since the appointment of a new manager, the home has improved significantly and is now more like the place we viewed when we chose Jubilee Lodge to take care of Mum. Communication has now returned, and we can't thank everyone enough for the effort and the work they have put in.

I was always treated with great kindness and consideration when visiting my husband. The care he was given in the dementia unit was second to none and gave me great peace of mind. I soon realised that I had made the right choice of care home. My heartfelt thanks to all the staff who are operating under such difficult circumstances with Covid-19.

The care my father received was exemplary, and the staff were so kind and friendly. When choosing a care home for my father, my mother and I visited several in the area. Jubilee Lodge had the home from home feel, and a plus was the fact that they do all they can to avoid residents having to go to hospital - for example, if a resident needs to be intravenously rehydrated, this can be done by rapid response nurses at the home, rather than having to go to the hospital (which would have been the case at other care homes). At the time my father was at Jubilee Lodge (Oct 2021 to Jan 2022), visiting restrictions because of Covid meant that we had to meet him in a special room set aside for visits, so I never actually got to see him in his bedroom. Sadly, he was only at the home for two and a half months as he died at the beginning of January, but we know that he seemed very happy there and got on very well with all the staff. We shall always be grateful for the high level of care he received.

Apart from the distance from home in Cirencester, my only criticism is the occasional failure of the medicine delivery system and failure to oversee proper hydration. The home itself is excellent.

My wife was placed in the home in 2019 as Dpctprs decided she needed full-time nursing care. She had lost the ability to walk and help herself. Medium dementia becoming apparent. My son and I visited for at least an hour every day being just a few miles away. I cannot give enough praise on the staff who were always on hand. She remained comfortable at all times and slipped away at the end of January at the age of 88.

It is always a worry when applying to place anyone in a care home, there are so many concerns. Having worked in the industry I was only too aware of the possible pitfalls of a care home. However, I can honestly say that I was very pleasantly surprised at the level of care given by the various care teams at Jubilee Lodge. My friend needed a degree of constant care, which was freely given. The staff were able to give time to residents over and above the basic needs. The ward had a dedicated nurse to give specialist care when needed. For those who were able to, there were communal activities and social events. There were never any problems with getting residents to eat the good quality cooked food.

I spent several months at Jubilee Lodge after being in hospital as I had broken my leg and it wasn't weight-bearing. I had to be hoisted everywhere for three months and the staff were most efficient, kind and so helped me in this situation. I eventually went into rehabilitation for three weeks and learned to walk again and wash and dress myself which gave me confidence and independence. I am now back at home and know that their care and encouragement has made this possible.

After being completely 'institutionalized', I have seen most of the aspects of Jubilee Lodge and it's functioning as a 'care home'. The care, kindness, attentiveness and patience of the nurses, carers and administration staff are remarkable. Nothing is too much trouble and going that proverbial 'extra mile' isn't deemed a chore. The manager and his assistant are excellent, faultless. Very gratefull for the activities girls - interesting, time enjoyed, sociable and healthy.

My mother was transferred to Jubilee Lodge from hospital having broken her leg. My brother and I were extremely concerned that she got the best care possible. Overall following a 3-month stay in Jubilee we have been more than delighted by the care she received. In particular, every member of staff we met showed great care for our mother and we never had any worries that she was in good hands. The manager of Jubilee always made himself available to respond to any telephone calls and was happy to have face to face chats about our mother whenever we visited.

Other points:
- Jubilee was efficient in arranging transport for hospital appointments
- The standard of meals provided was excellent
- The rooms were spacious and well maintained
- TV lounge and dining rooms were comfortable, homely and sociable
- Extra special effort was made over Christmas and New Year to ensure all the residents enjoyed the festive period and felt at home

- Enjoyable activities laid on

Mum is well looked after and the staff are attentive, her room is kept clean, and she is able to sit in the garden enjoying the summer sun. I have never seen an angry face on the staff and they are so understanding despite running around and constantly very busy. The only negative side is the number of staff I don't believe is enough and the retention staff are not the best, but the care is second to none.

Jubilee Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home for dementia. The staff are extremely caring, knowledgeable in the care of dementia and also very loving to my mom. They are good at informing you regarding my mom's medication and wellbeing if this changes. They are never forceful but can be a bit laid back at times with dressing.
