My father spent the last 10 months of his life at Jubilee Lodge and his family couldn't have wished for him to have been anywhere else. The professional care, kindness and love shown to him and indeed ourselves from all the staff in the dementia unit was exemplary.

Although most of the staff are very caring, some are not so caring.
The unit uses far too many agency staff which do not understand the individual requirements.

There is not enough staff on a shift to provide the care necessary for residents to be treated with dignity and care.

My mother was a resident at Jubilee Lodge Bourton on the Water from Jan 2017 - March 2018. At all times she was treated with extreme kindness and dignity. The staff were all so dedicated and kind, sometimes under difficult circumstances. I would recommend the home to other friends. I was very impressed that the same staff were in place for the whole of mother's residence. They also handled her sudden passing with great kindness and care.

Old age, no natural hearing (cochlear implant) and blindness made it necessary. She is 99 old.
Arrival reception, all the working staff know the person's name and treat her very kindly.

Spotlessly clean, well-prepared food nice activities to help to occupy them. Mother is kept very clean, clean clothes every day and room with some of her own possessions around her. She is very settled and happy.

Initially, a half way home my father enjoyed the attention and kindnesses shown to him on his arrival at Jubilee Lodge. A visit from Father Christmas and a huge chocolate cake for his birthday made him feel part of the family of residents on his unit.
His deteriorating health, however, meant a return home was unlikely.
All those who cared for him during his last weeks were sensitive to his needs, treated him with respect and ensured that he was comfortable.
When his appetite was poor, he was gently persuaded to have a little of what he liked, mostly custard.

Dad could not have been better looked after.

In the three months my mother in law has been a resident at Jubilee Lodge she has gone from being very poorly physically and mentally, unable to move, bed bound, to sitting in a chair, joking with the staff and smiling for the first time in months. I am sure this is due to the excellent care/support from the staff who have treated her with respect and dignity and who she now treats as her friends.

My father was cared for in Jubilee Lodge for the last few months of his life. I was pleased and heartened to see the care and concern shown to him and to my sister who visited most days.

It was a comfort to know he was well cared for when I live at a distance. I was impressed by the kindness of all the staff I met in my visits.

I visited a friend weekly who was there recovering after a spell in hospital. I felt easy and relaxed on entering the front door. All staff were obliging and knowledgeable and very friendly. They also remembered me each time I came. My friend was happy and we sat in the "day room" and had tea or coffee and privacy. His bedroom was pleasant, spacious and had all amenities he needed,

This is the very best home I have visited, couldn't fault it or the staff. A small problem was that I had difficulty finding it. Well done 10/10.

My mum came to Jubilee Lodge at the end of October. She was in a very poor state after an extended stay in hospital. The care she has received at Jubilee Lodge has been great and she is now sitting out and responding well. I never thought I would see her smile again and I cannot thank the staff enough.

My mother has end stage dementia and has moved to this home from her previous one as Jubilee Lodge is closer to where I live. She isn't mobile which is a shame as she would have enjoyed the home more earlier on in her illness. All staff are very friendly and caring. My mother is always clean and comfy.

My brother was transferred to Jubilee Lodge from hospital following neurosurgery and to remove a cyst within the brain. The operation was successful but he suffered confusion and loss of memory. He needed assistance with daily tasks and found walking difficult. Jubilee Lodge provided a calm and stable provided with kind and helpful staff. After a few days, my brother seemed calmer and felt secure. His general health and mobility improved. Therapy sessions have improved his memory and he is returning home in the hope things will continue to get better.

From the first day I was admitted to the ward, I was very impressed. The culture/atmosphere was very professional and caring. My room was always clean and had an airy, comfortable feel. The menu was tasty and cooked/presented beautifully. All members of staff and management were fully engaged and clearly wanted to help. My transition between hospital and home has pushed my re-establishment toward 3-4 months. I fully endorse the Order of St Johns Care Trust.

My mother moved to Jubilee Lodge in June and she has been very happy there. The home was purpose built which means the whole place is very well thought out with large en-suite rooms. Mum enjoyed her trips to the hairdressers and there is also a shop. The place is very clean and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Overall we are very pleased with the care mum has received. We would definitely recommend this home. We looked at many which were a lot worse.
