The team at Lime Tree Court are dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents, with activities and experiences that bring them joy. Providing residential and dementia care, the team also offer respite care breaks.

There are some fabulous activities to enjoy, from live music and entertainment and regular exercise sessions, to movie afternoons in the home’s cinema, with popcorn and candyfloss.

The team are passionate about discovering the life histories of their residents and what they love to do, so they can create bespoke, meaningful activities.

Every month the home runs a mental health café, where residents, their loved ones and the team chat over coffee and cake, sharing their thoughts and experiences.

The environment in the home is beautiful, the spacious bedrooms have ensuite walk-in wet rooms, there is a vintage themed café and a hairdressing salon, for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser. There is also a sensory room, for relaxing, soothing activities.

In the dining rooms, the residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

The beautiful, enclosed gardens feature raised planters, for residents who like to enjoy a spot of gardening and growing their own produce, a fishpond and wheelchair friendly pathways. They are a wonderful space to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time, and to enjoy special occasions like summer garden parties.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with students who visit regularly to spend time with the residents. And nobody gets a welcome quite like the residents’ favourite dogs, Tilly and Lennie.

The team also organise trips out, from pub lunches and church visits to community bingo mornings and excursions further afield to the West Midland Safari Park, which they enjoyed this summer.

Our neighbour has been in the home for about 3 months and we visit at least once a week so cannot give an 'all round' assessment of daily life.
However, we find the rooms clean and light, frequently decorated for special dates and bedrooms with excellent facilities.
I have been particularly impressed
by the activities on the ground floor in the afternoons, quizzes, crosswords and artwork are offered and enjoyed by the residents, (carers, therapists and visitors too)
I am not able to tick all boxes with complete confidence as I am not there for long periods.

After my mother went to a care home in a step down bed after a fall, I didn't like the home and moved my mam to Lime Tree Court after viewing it with my friends. I went to see 8 homes and liked Lime Tree Court the most. After my mam being here, I got to see how it was run and the staff I thought were
wonderful and very professional whatever I asked they were able to answer without having to look things up. I don't know why all homes can't be like Lime Tree Court Residential Care Home.

Management very approachable and do take the time to listen, which to me is most important, you are not just "fobbed off". My moms care is extremely important to me and I find all Moms needs are met by the staff. She is treated with respect and her dignity is maintained if she requires any help staff
are on hand to attend. I do think that more staff are needed to maintain the smooth running of my Moms floor. There have been shortages on occasions.

Most of the carers are helpful but when questions are asked about things they should know about, they don't have an answer. This is only a minority, though. An activity person is employed but spends a couple of hours on each floor. When they are on holiday or not working there is nothing in place. Maybe
volunteers or an extra person could be employed. The food is lovely.

My mother has been living in Lime Tree Court for 20 months. She has been taken care of in a professional and caring manner. The whole team, be it management, carers, cleaners or kitchen staff. Everyone is friendly, considerate and treat the residents with respect and dignity. My mother always praises
the staff and the way they treat her. She is very happy and contented living at Lime Tree Court.

I must admit that I only visit twice a week on floor 2 when most of the patients are in the lounge sitting or walking around. I think a little more time could be given to group stimulation. By sitting around a table with colouring books (children's preferably as adult colouring books are too difficult),
or a simple type of small children's games ie putting blocks and wooden pictures into different shaped holes. Otherwise, I find the home to be clean with good food and caring staff.

My father has been in Lime Tree Court for the last 5 months. He has Dementia and was at risk at home.
We can now rest at ease knowing dad is being looked after. The staff are always on hand if we have any problems. Staff and management are very friendly.

Overall we are happy with the care. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. My mother-in-law seems to be happy. We are concerned about the changing of staff as we understand this is not good for residents with dementia. They need continuity. The assistant manager is always very helpful if there
are any issues.

Thank you for some lovely comments. We understand how close your mother-in-law was to a carer who recently moved abroad so we’ve ensured the team has been there to support her. We structure rotas so our residents regularly have their favourite staff on shift, however, it is important to occasionally rotate staff so that if we need them to help on a different floor, our residents already know them. You are most welcome to come and see me if you would like to discuss things further.

Northern House School visit Lime Tree Court regularly as part of an Education Plan, both staff and pupils are always made to feel welcome and really look forward to their weekly visits.
From the initial contact with reception to interacting with staff and residents, the whole experience is so friendly
and thoroughly enjoyable.
Due to the staff's brilliant ways, always going the extra mile, they have contributed to helping the pupils from Northern House School to improve their social skills and to raise their self-esteem.

The home is very well presented, clean and all the staff are well presented, friendly and have been attentive to all the residents on my mother's floor (1st). they have an enjoyable time with music to keep residents happy. All of the residents were given drinks when asked for. My mother was clean and
clothed well. She seems very happy and content. Would recommend the care home.
