Retreat House is a modern and homely bungalow, set up for three long-term residential care residents and also for one respite position, being focused upon making a difference to the lives of adults with a learning disability or mental health issues.
While offering skilled care and support, the service takes a positive and active approach towards helping each resident practice their life skills and independence, aiming to see each individual get more out of life and develop their self-esteem.
The home has strong community links, while occupants also have much to enjoy within Retreat House itself, such as a large-screen TV and WiFi and access to large front and rear gardens. Residents are supported in pursuing the activities and leisure interests that interest them, by staff who look to promote positive attitudes and behaviours and to respect privacy and dignity.
