The Links is in the lovely village setting of Broadstone, close to local amenities and within easy reach of Dorset’s beautiful beaches and countryside. The Links offers residential, nursing, respite, post-operative, palliative and dementia care.

Pre-bookable short stays are also offered for people to rest, relax and recover, maybe post op or whilst family or a carer are on holiday. The Links also offers day care - please call for more details.

At The Links, staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence. Staff are well trained and there is 24/7 nursing care on site.

The home also has an onsite café that is peaceful and offers a great place to relax with friends and family. This home also benefits from an onsite salon, with a full-time hairdresser on site offering a brilliant service to all the residents.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at The Links, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether your loved one already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in.

Since both my sisters have been in The Links they have always received good care and attention, are well fed, warm and happy.
Obviously, it has taken them a while to adjust to a new way of life.
My sister on the 2nd floor, I feel she needs to be more occupied, as she, in my opinion, seems frustrated
just sitting all the time.

My father was very poorly when he arrived after a 7hr car journey and already in poor health after being sent home from a 4-week stay in hospital without the correct care package being in place. After one week at The Links he is almost like his old self! Amazing recovery but purely down to the first
class care he receives. Huge thanks to The Links.

I have no complaints at all. Everybody was very caring and very willing at all times. All staff were cheerful and happy without exception.


The activities were good and the food was enjoyable (and it was hot) very good.

My mother has been a resident at The Links since Spring 2016. She and my father had a wonderful year together living at The Links, but sadly my father passed away last July. Since then my mother has continued to receive care of the very best quality. My mind is at rest as I know she is being so well

From the moment mum arrived, she loved her room and the relaxed, calm feelings of her surroundings. The staff have been extremely kind and helpful; everyone has enabled mum to settle in quickly. The chef creates dishes to satisfy the residents differing needs and tastes, maintenance put up pictures
before mum arrived. The manageress has addressed every query positively, whilst the nurse and staff introduced themselves to us all and explained mum's individualised care plan.


I cannot recommend The Links highly enough, attention to detail and first class care are paramount. The Links is everything we've been looking for, a veritable home from home with benefits.


It's a light, airy, relaxing, friendly, cheerful and very caring place.

After the loss of my husband I had a lot of time on my hands, my daughter suggested volunteering and I thought that would be a good idea so I called local care homes and The Links were so kind when I called that I had to visit the same day and from that day I have never looked back. I volunteer 3 mornings
a week, making cups of tea and talking with the residents.
Everyone from the staff to the resident and even their family are lovely, the staff are dedicated to their jobs and give the residents utmost respect and dignity, it’s certainly person-centred care, the facilities are excellent and has a hotel feel but at the same time is catered for people living with dementia. All in all The Links is an outstanding place and I’m so glad that I found it.

The staff have always been very kind and treated me with dignity throughout my stay. The food is always lovely and there is a good choice to choose from. I would recommend the links to any of my friends and family who may need to receive care and support in the future.

My husband has been resident for nearly two years once he could not be looked after safely at home. Over that time, his needs have changed as his illness has progressed and I am impressed by how the home adjusts his care according to his ever-changing needs.
Care is always personal - I am involved
in all decisions - and I feel he could not be looked after any better. It is always really hard to take the decision to place someone in care but the fact that I can walk in at any time helps.
I cannot see how he could be looked after any better.

Care was excellent except for one-night shift worker. When I reported my "air" mattress was deflating and I was in extreme discomfort, her reply was "you're only here for 2 weeks, you'll get used to it".
It transpires there was a problem with the mattress and it had to be changed the following day.
Overall,
however, I had a very positive, welcoming stay and would highly recommend The Links.

All the staff on 1st floor are extremely caring, have done everything they can to keep my father comfortable and happy.
The nursing staff are excellent and constantly re-assess his needs. There is a daily handover to staff on residents which ensures all his needs are met. I cannot praise the staff
enough and feel we couldn't ask them to do more.

It was a huge decision to put mum into residential care. It took a year to find The Links. That was back in 2015. Now my mum calls The links her home and she is very fond of the team that takes care of her needs. I have found over the past year that the staff are compassionate, caring and have a loving
bond with my mum, making her feel safe and happy.

Mum is doing well in the care of the Links Broadstone. The food is very good and mum has put on weight which we are pleased about. It's always lovely and warm. The staff are very kind, she is always clean. Her eyesight is very poor but they always make sure her clothes match and that she has her lipstick
and perfume is on which she loves. We always get a warm welcome when we arrive from office staff, carers, laundry staff and cleaners.

My visits are mostly 4 times per week, at different times during the day. The staff are always available to speak to, and my husband, on the whole, appears contented. I always look forward to visiting him, and I appreciate all that is done for him.

I am very impressed with this care home. My mother has complex needs which the staff are able to meet. The focus is on individualised care and my mother has a renewed quality of life with so much going on in the home that she can participate in. She also has a lovely room filled with many of her personal
possessions.

Sebastian Kijewski

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2017

Sebastian grew up in Poland, where he qualified as a chef as well as in hotel and tourism management and worked in sales for his family business. He moved to Dorset in 2002 and worked in a number of hotels and restaurants, gaining catering skills to Rosette standard! Sebastian joined The Links in February 2017, with great experience in catering for functions and events as well as high numbers. Sebastian ensures all individual dietary wishes and needs are met, and that meals are high quality, nutritious and beautifully presented. He has a young family and has a keen interest in sports and scuba diving.
