This care home is amazing. It is so light, fresh and clean. I love going to the coffee bar with my mum and having a chat with the other residents and their families. The staff are fantastic, so caring and kind. There have been issues with managers in the past, nut all seems to have settled down with a great team now.

My wife has been a resident at Harper Fields for some 2 and a half years and looks the best I've seen her during that period. She is in one of the dementia units where she is clearly receiving excellent care. Well done to all the staff who care for her.

My Dad was suffering from dementia and became a resident on Windsor at Harper Fields Balsall Common. He was looked after by two members of staff in particular and all the team. The care he received was excellent and the staff all took my Dad into their hearts. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all that they did for him especially in such difficult circumstances with the Coronavirus. Although my Dad has recently passed away, the end of life care that he received was exemplary and we will never be able to thank them enough. Many many thanks.

My wife is looked after with care and even affection. In pre-covid times, there were always activities and entertainment, though she was reluctant to take part on occasions. Her medical conditions are constantly monitored, and there seems to be a close link with local GP service, which is reassuring. I feel my wife is in safe hands.

My mother has been in Harper Fields for nearly four years. She has always received excellent care. My sister and I have noticed a great difference in the staff since the new manager was employed. She has given staff support and guidance, and the atmosphere in the home is so much more relaxed and happy. She is very supportive to the relatives and residents; keeping them informed of medical and social issues. Thank you.

My father spent the last 4 weeks of his life being cared for in Harper Fields. My family and I were delighted with the care he received during this time and, in addition, the kindness shown to us. The staff ensured that all my father's needs were met and that we, the family, were well looked after. A big thank you to everyone involved.

All good, except unfortunately during mum's two-week respite stay the carer in charge pointed it out and apologised that none of her washing had been done over the two week stay period. So we had it all to do on her return. Fortunately, she had been supplied with sufficient clothes for her stay, by us. Carer in charge said normally washing would have been collected every day! This may be because we supplied a linen basket - but only for dirty washing deposition, nothing ever collected.

Having previously visited the home both on my own and with my uncle and were most impressed, we were not disappointed with the home during my uncle's stay of 8 days.

He enjoyed talking with staff, the meals were excellent and room was superb with privacy and country view from window.

Welcomed by senior staff on arrival.

Pleasant room with windows overlooking the garden.

Requested a quiet room and got one. Good size bathroom/shower.

Carers generally good and attentive to my needs. A bit slow/late getting me up and showering (by 10.30 am). I now have colitis and it took a few days to sort a suitable diet.

Overall a pleasant and satisfactory 2 week stay.
