As soon as you walk through the door, the home is spacious with a friendly greeting. The rooms are bright and roomy with en-suite bathrooms. All staff seem friendly and are happy to help at any time. Mom is very happy here, and enjoys participating in most of the activities.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so glad Mom has settled in, its our pleasure to look after such a lovely lady.
Darwin Court in Lichfield is a first-class care home, which is run and staffed by people with a professional and caring focus on their residents. The nursing and administrative staff are beyond reproach. I hold minor concerns about weekend staff levels and the general attention given to what may seem to be minor details, but are, in fact, matters of significance to residents and their families.
Many thanks for your kinds comments, it was our privilege to care for Mom on our Minster Unit and I will certainly pass on your kind words to the staff.
My dad moved into Darwin Court Care Home in March 2025. As a family, we are over the moon with the level of care that he has been shown from the outset. Staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We are so happy that he is now thriving in such a safe and secure environment with a wide variety of activities available.
Many thanks for your kind words, its our privilege to look after your father, its really lovely to see how he has thrived since moving into our Garrick Suite.
Darwin and the staff have been really reassuring since Mum arrived. Feels like a massive anxiety has been lifted and that the team are always there to support and help. The coffee shop is a godsend for bringing a little normalcy to seeing Mum.

My wife has been a resident for a year and still being cared for. I am so grateful to everyone as she has been in some dreadful homes since 2003 but finally found her home from home.

Recently Mom had a fall and I was unable to attend the home. The staff were amazing, sitting with her until paramedics arrived. Keeping in touch with me and facilitating phone calls so that I could talk to Mom. The staff packed a bag of useful items/clothing for Mom to take with her to the hospital. Five stars excellent.

Our experience with the care my father has received since being in Darwin Court Care Home has been amazing. The staff are so welcoming but most importantly very in tune with the care and attention that is required from my father on a day-to-day basis (as every day as we know is different), nothing is too much trouble and they make my dad feel at home and as an equal to them.

My husband's dad passed away last Saturday, 29/03/2025, at Darwin Court. The staff were very good. It was as good as it could be. They treated him with respect at all times. We were always made welcome. We cant thank you staff enough for looking after our Dad when we couldn't be there. It was a relief to know he was in safe hands and being well looked after. I would recommend Darwin Court to anyone looking for a home from home for the last part of life. God bless you all.

I would like to give a massive shout out and thank you to Johnson Unit. Just recently, I have been spending every day with my dad and have witnessed how hard and difficult the fault routine is for the guys who work on this unit. The whole team get together remarkably well, even under stressful and intimidating circumstances. Their care for the residents is second to none.

Meet the Team (2)

I joined the Avery Healthcare Family in 2019 having spent my whole working life in the care sector, from a retirement village to care homes.
Before joining Avery, I was an Administrator Assistant for another care provider.
After leaving school I went to college to complete my Level 2 and Level 3 in Health and Social care.
I would consider myself as kind, caring, hard worker and empathetic. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, read and go for walks.
I am very proud to be part of the Darwin court family.

As Michelle says 'I believe a care home should be warm, welcoming and fun, not just for the residents but for the staff and visitors alike'.
