They have attended to all my Mum's needs with kindness.
She is happily settled in to life at Haven enjoying the food and activities offered.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your mum has settled in so well and is enjoying the food, activities and support from our team. It means a great deal to know she feels happy, comfortable and well cared for.
My mother developed a nasty cough quite quickly. I am so grateful to the Haven staff for spotting the seriousness of this cough and contacting emergency services so quickly. Thankfully, mum is fine now, but without the speed and professionalism of the Haven staff. The consequences could have been far worse.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's lovely to hear that your mother is now doing well and that you felt supported by the team. Your kind words mean a great deal to everyone here.
Fantastic support when moving Jill in which was a difficult time as Jill has dementia. The staff were wonderful, Reena, Anna and the team have made Jill feel welcome and she is very happy here. We have had great support when difficulties arose, not sleeping in bed, pressures sores, water retention have all been addressed and resolved. Even welcome visits from our Cockerpoos (Harvey).
Thank you
Thank you for sharing such kind feedback. We're delighted to hear your loved one feels happy and supported, and that our team were able to provide reassurance, comfort and a warm welcome during a difficult transition.
I feel that I must add, the reason that the reason I gave Activities as good rather than excellent is that there doesn't seem to be as many as there were .It is for his reason and only this reason I felt that I could only mark as good.
A big thank you to all staff.
Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear our team create a warm, welcoming home and take time to connect with residents. Your kind words mean a great deal to everyone and are truly appreciated.
I was treated with the utmost care and respect during my stay at Haven.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our home. It is so appreciated by our team!
It is always a comforting experience to visit the Haven. It allows me to relax knowing that my wife is in trusted, capable hands. All the staff are caring, knowledgable and approachable which gives me the confidence to discuss any questions that i might have relating to my wife's diet, care and quality of life.
The majority of the staff are very caring and responsible, however information is not always passed on regarding patients at the shift changeover.
A few staff could benefit from some extra training regarding awareness of individuality and differences between residents and the handling thereof.
Haven Care Home have given exemplary car to Dad. He's not always the easiest man to deal with but they've been so patient and caring. Many thanks for your kindness and dedication, it is appreciated.

All the staff are amazing and care greatly about their residents. I knew my mum was safe and well cared for while she stayed.
There is entertainment if they wish to take part which my mum throughly enjoyed.
The gardens are beautiful
The home is outstanding and a great team of staff .A big big thank you from us. We will be back.
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted your mum enjoyed her stay and that you felt confident in the care she received. Your feedback means a lot to our team.
I needed 1 week's respite care in July and was looked after very well during my stay.
Since I have arrived at Haven, I have found all of the staff to be very welcoming. Everything is kept very clean.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you've felt welcomed and noticed the cleanliness - we take great pride in both. We're glad you're enjoying your time at Haven!
The manageress put me at ease. When I took my my there, I unpacked her bads and staff took her to the lounge, have her a coffee & biscuits. When I picked her up she was happy and looked well.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you were impressed with our staff, facilities, and the food we offer. We understand how difficult it can be to entrust a loved one into someone else's care, even for a short time, so we're especially glad to...
My first impression is one of welcome. A particular staff member at reception exemplifies this as soon as she greets on at the ground floor entrance. This behaviour of graciousness and care is met with every member of staff and management that I've met during my many visits to my aunt.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear that you felt warmly welcomed and consistently cared for during your visits. Your feedback means a lot to our team.
The carers, staff and management at Haven Residential Care Home are well trained, compassionate and the most welcoming community that my mother and I could have wished for at this time of need and constant care in her old age. The entire team are so professional, kind and understanding of her unique requirements and nothing is seen as an obstacle. I am kept fully informed and visiting my mother is a pleasure in a clean, comfortable and well run care environment that is safe and reassuring.

A fantastic place with staff who really care. My mum had a fantastic few years here. They really looked after her and made her feel at home. Mum had dementia, although she was quite young. The home worked hard to find the balance between her care needs and her sense of independence. The garden is great in the summer, and the balcony means even the dementia wing has access to outdoor space. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review for Haven. We're delighted to hear that your mum felt so at home with us and that our team could provide the right balance between her care needs and independence. It's wonderful to know she enjoyed the outdoor spaces, especially the garden and balcony,...

Meet the Team (9)

My career in adult social care began in 2011, fresh out of school, as a kitchen assistant in a local care home. I progressed to a chef, where I found joy in engaging with residents, so much so I transitioned into a care role.
That decision changed everything. I found my calling and steadily progressed through senior care positions, eventually becoming a care manager in 2024 at the same organisation where I started.
I'm thrilled to join Sanctuary Care as a Home Manager, an opportunity that aligns perfectly with my passion for quality care and values. I'm excited to continue growing and making a meaningful difference alongside our dedicated team.
At Haven, we are committed to enriching the lives of our residents every single day. I'm proud to continue creating a homely environment where residents feel safe, valued and respected.

I have worked at the Home in this post since August 2022 but have been working at The Haven for over 6 years as a carer and team leader. I am passionate about care and enjoy spending time with our residents, supporting them to remain active members of our community.

I’ve worked in care for several years and joined Sanctuary Care in December 2021. Working at The Haven is amazing. I enjoy interacting with residents and their families, helping them to arrange outings, and working with our Management Team to schedule meetings and appointments. The Haven is really homely and I enjoy the feeling of community at this home.

As Head Chef at The Haven, it’s my responsibility to ensure our residents receive a high-quality and enriching dining experience every day. I truly enjoy my work and it helps that cooking is my passion.

I’ve been at The Haven since before it’s re-opening in 2013. As they say, I keep the ship afloat, and it’s a real pleasure to meet so many lovely people over the years. I enjoy what I do, which ranges from daily checks and audits, to building refurbishment and special projects for residents.

I’ve been at The Haven since 2013. My role involves managing the domestic and laundry teams, to ensure the home looks as good as new.

I’ve been working at The Haven as a Team Leader since 2018. It’s always a joy to celebrate special events with our residents, especially their birthday parties. It’s great to see people enjoying themselves.

I’ve been at The Haven since 2018. My role involves providing person-centred care to our residents. I really enjoy working at this home and helping the residents to maintain their independence.

I’ve been at The Haven since 2013 and work alongside the carers to ensure our residents are safe and well. I enjoy the clinical aspects of my role and developing my clinical knowledge through Sanctuary’s extensive training program.
