Very satisfied with the care provided for my mother over the last two and a half years. The last 12-months have been difficult with the pandemic restrictions, visits not allowed, so resident even more dependent on the care staff for support and care. I really appreciate the attention provided to my
mum.

My father has lived here for almost four years. Staff have always behaved in a kind and respectful way towards him. Activities and when possible (pre-covid) outings are arranged to entertain and occupy residents. In-house activities at the moment are varied and suitable. The meals are of high quality
and are varied, snacks and drinks are freely available. All areas are clean and welcoming. All staff take the time to greet, converse and interact with residents.

Amazing members of staff. Nothing too much trouble. Took amazing care of my mum over last few months until she went into hospital. Cannot express how grateful I am to everybody at Beaumont Hall who cared for my mum.

I would like to express my thanks, gratitude and admiration for the way Beaumont Hall and Ideal Carehomes have dealt with the Covid 19 situation. Of course lockdown has been difficult in that I cannot visit my father but I am confident that every measure has been taken to keep him safe. At the beginning
of the Pandemic, I was assured by the managers that Ideal Carehomes had provided them with all the necessary PPE and I know the Front of House Manager has a very strict policy regarding essential supplies and visitors. I was told last week that all staff and residents had tested negative to the virus which is testimony to the policies in place. Thank you.
Reply from Rebecca Selkirk, PR Executive at Bradley HallThank you for kindly taking the time to write a review of Beaumont Hall and for the comments. We are so pleased to hear you would recommend us and these reviews also go some way to help other families in a similar position of looking for a care home. We are sure they will find your comments very valuable.

I have often arrived during the daytime and found it extremely difficult to get in. There is often no one on the desk or within sight of the door. I have to wait until a member of staff, usually a cleaner, to let me in. There is no visible bell to alert anyone. I also do not like using lifts and have
to wait for a member of staff to let me through the door to the stairs.
Reply from Rebecca Selkirk, PR Executive at Bradley HallThank you for taking the time to write a review of our home as feedback is extremely important to us. We would always aim to have a staff member at our front desk and for someone to be available to assist you with the stairs and apologise if on some occasions this was not immediately possible.
We do appreciate your comments and will certainly look into your points further to ensure that your future visits run smoothly. If you wanted to call us prior to your arrival, we would be happy to ensure that someone is available to greet you and assist with the stairs. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact Debbie at Beaumont Hall on 0116 234 4860.

My mum has been at Beaumont Hall for the past 3 years, having the experience for the past 20 years working with the elderly and 3 years working with special needs I knew this home was for mum. The carers are kind and have become special friends not just to mum but her family also. Staff are always ready
to listen and provide help when needed. The home is always clean and warm reassurance that mum is safe means everything.
Reply from Rebecca Selkirk, PR Executive at Bradley HallThank you so much for your review of Beaumont Hall. We are so pleased to hear that your mum's move has been a positive experience for you all. Thank you again for the kind words which I shall be sure to pass on.

Over the last year, myself and family, my three daughters and grandchildren, visit my wife regularly. We visit at different times of the day. We find the management and all carers are very pleasant and helpful and easy to talk to. Not forgetting the staff we don't see a lot of. The cleaners, the cooks
and laundry etc. Overall the teamwork quite well (sometimes under difficult situations). Thank you.

Staff and facilities are excellent. Mum has settled in and appears happy. Have noticed that staff numbers appear reduced when I visited at the weekend. Don't think this is a one-off as my sister has also made similar comments.
Reply from Rebecca Selkirk, PR Executive at Bradley HallThank you for taking the time to write this review. At Ideal Carehomes we pride ourselves on the exceptional standards of care we provide and it is important to us that our homes offer a higher staff to resident ratio than required to offer peace of mind to residents and their families. We have been visiting the home for 5 years. Starting with reception, always made to feel welcome. Staff most caring to all residents, but more than wonderful to my cousin who is wheelchair-bound. Nothing too much trouble and good atmosphere in the sitting area. Friendly, approachable staff, always impressed.
Feel good, time for myself and husband. Always a joy to visit our cousin.

My uncle went into the home in January 2018. He was looked after well. All the staff are brilliant. They made you very welcome at all times. The home is bright and cheerful. Plenty of entertainment and activities and trips. The food is very good, with plenty of choices and they cater to all residents
with eating problems, soft diets etc. We have just had our funeral tea there. It was perfect. I class the staff as my family and I love them all.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.914)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.914) out of 10 for Bradley Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 60 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 60 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.914 for Bradley Hall is calculated as follows: ( (655 Excellents x 5) + (55 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 713 Ratings = 4.914
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bradley Hall is based on 60 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 60 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
