My grandfather has settled in very well and the team were extremely helpful during this process. They wanted to know a lot about his life. He is very happy and settled.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, we are really pleased that your grandfather is settling in and is happy here with us.
I went with my dad to see my grandfather in Silvermere. We weren't too sure what to expect as he has always been against care homes. The staff would give my dad regular updates on how he was and what he had been up to. But actually coming in and seeing my grandfather happy made my day. Sitting chatting with some other residents about past events. It was nice to see my grandfather so happy. My dad said he was a very quiet man after my grandma past four years ago - never went out and never chatted with anyone. So thank you to all the team who made my grandfather's stay a great one and helped him be himself again.

Lovely place. Visited my aunty, and what a beautiful home it is. Very friendly staff, and everyone seems very happy residing there. My aunty has already expressed she is exploring to stay permanently. Thank you to the home team.

I have always found the staff there very helpful and supportive of the extra needs that he requires, as his needs are slightly different due to his sight loss. The building is always bright and clean, and there is often music playing in the atrium, where they have a refreshment bar that is always stocked with biscuits, cakes, fruits, crisps, and cold drinks, including freshly infused water and two wonderful coffee machines that make really lovely latte's (amongst other styles of course).
They have a good few open days per year, where relatives and friends can come in and share food and music or special events, like Christmas and Easter, and they always hold a fabulous summer BBQ party too. This really is a great time to explore the beautiful gardens there and meet and talk to the other residents and their groups.
I would recommend Silvermere to anyone who needs a care home.

He has made friends and is never short of company.
The staff are very attentive, helpful and supportive, and the facilities are great. He is very well cared for in every way.
The home offers a very clean, tidy and happy environment to all its residents and is more like a quality hotel than a care home.

I visited my dad today, and I just wanted to say thank you, Silvermere staff. My dad is so happy there and has made so many friends. He absolutely loves the staff. It is so nice to see him happy and involved in activities. Such a difference from when he was at home.

My sister was unable to continue loving at home once her husband died. She realised a relocation to be near her family was necessary. On her behalf, I viewed Silvermere and was impressed. They could provide the level of support she requires and a room was available so I reserved a place for her without hesitation. Arriving here four months ago, she appreciates the improvement in her quality of life and her well-being. From being frail she is now eating and sleeping well. Making new friends is helping her regain her self-esteem and she really enjoys our frequent visits and the time we spend together. A big thank you to the Silvermere team.

Once again Silvermere went above and beyond what could be expected.
Mum's carers came into her room to see her in her final hours and she loved seeing them. When she had died they shared tears with us and my father.
Their compassion extended to my sister and me. We were offered buckets full of tea and hugs and anything else we needed.
Finally as Mum left the building with the undertakers the staff lined the hallway to say goodbye, Even though several of them had finished their shifts a couple of hours earlier, they stayed behind to say goodbye to her. We were really touched by this.
They came to her funeral and have continued to support us all.
In fact, I now feel that the staff are more like friends than anything else.
On Mum's behalf, THANK YOU, Silvermere.

The staff are vigilant and caring. Making sure residents are comfortable but offering independence too. Residents smile and look comfortable and content. They have an exquisite atrium with a lake view, a variety of public lounges, a cinema and a beautiful garden.
Care is second to none. Everyone supports the needs of each individual resident. The staff are empathetic and sensitive in their care.
Medical requirements are carefully monitored. A varied activity programme is offered daily for residents to opt into by choice, from armchair exercises to singing and beyond, with a selection of outings. Visitors are welcome at all times.
Meals are a magical experience. Silver service three-course lunches are a joy each day with a trained chef and a keen eye on dietary needs.
The management team offer a hands-on approach. They are always there for residents.

My mother needed to get some respite care urgently last weekend, despite me calling on a Saturday morning at 8 am, all of the staff I spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful, and by 2 pm, my mother was comfortable in her new room, safe and sound. I have recently visited my grandmother, who has been at Silvermere for some time. The reception I recieved was faultless, and even though we all still have to be aware of Covid regulations, this was carried out smoothly and effectively. The care staff were amazing and treated my grandmother with such dignity and respect. I did have the pleasure of meeting the manager, who answered all my questions in a knowledgeable and professional way, and gave me such reassurance that my grandmother is extremely happy and well cared for.
