Mum has been a resident at Foxbridge House for nearly 3 years and has settled into daily life there very well. I am particularly impressed by the low staff turnover, allowing Mum to recognise her carers and they to truly know & understand her and her needs. The facilities are good with a varied programme
of activities on offer and visitors welcomed at any time - as well as to regular family events. The weekly Resident Meetings give residents a voice and regular Relative Meetings, update family. Staff are welcoming, caring and compassionate and keep me informed and updated about my mother and her care, which I greatly appreciate. Any worries or concerns I raise are addressed promptly and effectively, giving me peace of mind. The Home cultivates a sense of community and belonging among residents, and relatives alike.

Facilities great.
Staff super nice.
Caring attitude from Staff towards residents.
A few repeated requests to ensure my mother-in-law's teeth are stuck in properly has been an issue.
Not a fault of the Care Home but it still think it grossly unfair that someone who has saved money over their lifetime
are expected to contribute so much more than someone who enjoyed life by spending every penny.

Foxbridge House is a beautiful care home in a lovely setting, with light, bright and spacious rooms and beautiful gardens. There are many amenities such as the café, cinema, hairdressers and an activity programme to engage residents. The most impressive thing are the staff who are extremely kind and
caring and looked after my Mum so well for more than six years, often going above and beyond to make her happy and comfortable. Thank you everyone.

During my Grandmother's 6-7 years at Foxbridge House she was extremely well cared for. She appreciated and enjoyed the clean, comfortable surroundings and amazing food. Her room was cosy and she was able to have lots of family photos up on her wall, lots of familiar faces and personal items. Every staff
member I encountered treated her with respect and most as if she was a loved family member. The coffee area at the entrance allowed visitors a comfortable, smart but relaxed place to chat with a great choice of drinks & both sweet and healthy snacks. Sadly my Grandmother passed away last month but the end of life care she received was really impressive, all staff really stepped up.

When mum first came to Foxbridge House I was a little reluctant how she would settle in as English is not her first language. The staff are amazing so caring, Mum has settled in so well and I feel this is due to all the staff not just nursing, management even take and interest in everyone living here
knowing all their names.

It was easy to arrange care for my dad, the Customer Service Coordinator was very easy to deal with to help us arrange the respite care needed. Throughout the process she was very contactable and it was very reassuring knowing my dad had the best available care. When I needed to call Foxbridge they
were easy to get hold of and the team was always very curious, and the Receptionist in particular was really personable and helpful.

My mother was a resident at Foxbridge House for nearly 4 years due to her Alzhheimers worstening. During the whole period the care and attention she received by all nurses and carers was excellent. If there were any issues, we raised these with either the nurses on duty, or Care Home Manager/Deputy
and the problems were dealt with promptly. Our family were always warmly greeted by everyone when we visited my mother.

My mother sadly passed away recently, and the care she received at the end of her life was exceptional. Additionally all members of staff from all departments- nurses, carers, management/admin, housekeeping, maintenance ensured our family were looked after too whilst we were at her bedside in the last few days.

Thank you Foxbridge House for everything.

The staff of Foxbridge House show patience and compassion for a resident with Alzheimer's and dementia. In sometimes difficult situations, their actions and caring are proof of a good and extensive training.
All this care takes place in a lovely environment, which unfortunately can't be appreciated
to the full but does contribute to their well-being.

Generally good, but noisy being adjacent to the staff room, also at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is normally very good, and so are the evening meals and snacks at times.

First impressions were good when viewing, we found the home clean, warm & welcoming. The sales manager, in particular was kind & knowledgeable. However, once my parents moved in it became quickly apparent that there were not enough staff to meet mum's needs, Communication between staff was poor. Some
staff did not follow correct procedures, eg lifting & repositioning. Mum was not checked as frequently as we were told. Mum often asked for help with toileting but was left waiting as there were not enough staff to help. Sometimes she waited for over an hour, soiled/wet. Not all staff were aware of mum's care needs & it was left to my dad to advocate for her. We often overheard staff complaining about colleagues. One member of staff couldn't do enough to help & came in early every day to wash and dress mum because he didn't trust the staff to do it. In some cases I think there was a genuine lack of concern from staff, but mainly there just weren't enough staff to keep residents safe & comfortable.

I have been given a very favourable report from my two daughters initial visit, whilst I was still in hospital abroad, but on arrival from Barbados into London Heathrow Airport, and subsequently and ambulance journey to Foxbridge, I was truly delighted with my new temporary "home". The whole design
of the building, its cleanliness, the two gardens, which I later could visit, not to mention all the smiling members of staff! Thank you all for caring fro me so well those 2 weeks.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.681)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.681) out of 10 for Foxbridge House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 64 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.681 for Foxbridge House is calculated as follows: ( (564 Excellents x 5) + (138 Goods x 4) + (26 Satisfactorys x 3) + (13 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 743 Ratings = 4.681
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Foxbridge House is based on 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 registered maximum number of service users is 16.8, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

There are many different aspects of my role as Home Manager at Foxbridge House, but one of my favourites is the opportunity to meet and get to know residents and their families. It’s a huge privilege.

Every person we care for is at the heart of their care: they make decisions about how they want to be cared for, how they want to spend their day and live their life, and we support them to make that happen.

Central to achieving that is having a superb team. We have great people at Foxbridge House who are determined to do their best for residents, relatives and for each other. I’m here to support them to succeed, and Care UK supports me to succeed as well.

While this job is high-pressured and there’s a lot to juggle, the feeling at the end of the day of knowing that you’ve done the best job you can is second to none.
