My mother has been a resident at Foxbridge House for 6 months and her overall health improved significantly within 2-3 weeks, I believe this was a combination of her weight and diet being monitored plus having 3 hot meals a day being available to her which are of a very high standard. The staff will
make tea for my mother throughout the day. Most importantly my mother has company throughout the day.
Everyone who works at Foxbridge House is cheerful and will always speak to you, not just on a care level but on a personal level too. My late father was a care resident, not at Foxbridge House, and the interaction with residents and family was not to the level I have experienced here.
The rooms are clean and the laundry service is very efficient.
My mother has direct access to a large patio area, as we move into summer this area is so valuable, there is also a large formal garden.
Above all, I feel my mother is safe and well cared for at Foxbridge House.

My father has been at Foxbridge House for nearly a year and is very happy there. He was very poorly when he first arrived but due to the excellent nursing, he is so much better.
The food is very good, like restaurant quality. All the staff and carers are very friendly and in my opinion genuine. The
care home itself is very well-furnished and clean. Visitors can get refreshments and lovely homemade cakes.

I could not speak more highly of Foxbridge House which, I believe, is entirely down to the quality and nature of the staff they employ. Every member of the Foxbridge team is so helpful, caring, patient, friendly and so pleasant to deal with. Super-efficient too, for example when I have asked for messages
to be passed onto the doctor, to get Mum a phone line installed in her room, paintings hung up in her room to make it more homely for her. Things are done quickly and right first time.
Under the care provided at Foxbridge, whether it be helped by the interactive activities or the visiting physio, my mother’s physical health has improved remarkably in just over a month. Amazing in such a short time.
At the end of the day my mother is happy at Foxbridge and I have total peace of mind that she is safe and in excellent care and so I would not hesitate in recommending Foxbridge to anyone.

Mum was at Foxbridge very briefly mainly for respite care after time in hospital. She was very frail and had had a bad experience in hospital, so the kindness of all the staff and the gentleness of those providing personal care was truly appreciated. The nursing staff particularly were very caring
and made sure all her needs were looked after.

My friend was admitted to Foxbridge House for respite. The care he received was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and all times delivered an extremely high standard of care.
He was very pleased with all aspects of his stay, enjoyed the food and felt he was being looked after to a very high

My husband has been a resident at Foxbridge Care Home for two months and during that time, we as a family have come to feel that Foxbridge is our second home. The staff are exceptional in their care as a whole and in their individual knowledge of each resident in their care. The home is spotless and
the individual rooms are comfortable and homely. There is always a member of staff happy to discuss any worries or concerns.
The decision to place a much-loved relative into care is difficult but we couldn't have found anywhere better for my husband. Thank you Foxbridge.

My aunt was frail and vulnerable, living an isolated existence in a remote village. Since coming to Foxbrige House, she has found companionship from both staff and other residents. Regular meals, entertainment and trips out have helped significantly boost her overall well-being. Prescribed medication
is taken on time too! It was the right decision for my aunt to join the wonderful community at Fxbridge House. It is lovely to see her smile, laugh and be content in a safe, secure and caring environment.

My experience of Foxbridge House started when we were desperately trying to find nursing care for Mum and I popped into the home to see whether they had availability. I was treated with such care and consideration at a very difficult time and this continued throughout the whole time Mum was in their
care. Despite Mum only being with Foxbridge House for a matter of days I felt that they wanted to know her and treated her as an individual and with every respect. She was always well looked after and our interactions with all staff were good. Following her death we were again treated kindly and compassionately and overall I cannot rate our experience highly enough.

Whilst my wife was only with you for a short time, I always felt that she was with people who sincerely cared and it gave me great peace of mind to know this. Foxbridge House was always welcoming and the staff all acknowledged visitors even offering to bring refreshments to the room. My wife always
seemed content whilst she was in your care and I would like to thank everyone for the great care, kindness and consideration extended not only to my wife but to me and my family during a very difficult time.

Overall, excellent. Cannot comment on value for money because I don't live in this country and have not visited any other facilities so have nothing to compare it against. Only negative comment is a lack of information to residents and relatives of the residents. I felt that a detailed explanation or
even overview of 'how things work' would be helpful, e.g. how an account is opened for physios etc. to be paid for. Also, felt that a resident's initial 'through the door' could be made more comforting.

Very professional, a thoroughly workable process for us to have our parents admitted as residents. All of the 'front of house' staff are excellent. The positive vibe that is projected for all to see is enjoyable. The resident facilities appear top class and the public areas/meeting spaces are kept spotless.

I tasted the food from a bit of left on Dad's plate, it was fish pie and sliced potatoes, I thought it was very bland with no taste, no seasoning at all. He eats all the puddings though.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Foxbridge HouseThank you for rating Foxbridge House five stars, we set a high standard for ourselves, so we are very pleased to hear that your experience with us has been a positive one.
We would like to thank you for your feedback about the food, we do serve seasoned food, however, as part of our dining with dignity approach, we serve food with condiments so residents are able to season to their own required taste. We are always looking at ways to improve, our home manager will chat with Dad to see if we can make any changes. Thanks again for your lovely review.

I went to go and visit my uncle and thus far he has seemed to express than he has settled in. He talks about how caring the staff are, a variety of food he can choose from and how his room is always clean. It's nice to know that my uncle is being taken care of, he says that he would recommend Foxbridge

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.681)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.681) out of 10 for Foxbridge House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 64 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.681 for Foxbridge House is calculated as follows: ( (564 Excellents x 5) + (138 Goods x 4) + (26 Satisfactorys x 3) + (13 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 743 Ratings = 4.681
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Foxbridge House is based on 61 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 registered maximum number of service users is 16.8, which has been reached with 61 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

There are many different aspects of my role as Home Manager at Foxbridge House, but one of my favourites is the opportunity to meet and get to know residents and their families. It’s a huge privilege.

Every person we care for is at the heart of their care: they make decisions about how they want to be cared for, how they want to spend their day and live their life, and we support them to make that happen.

Central to achieving that is having a superb team. We have great people at Foxbridge House who are determined to do their best for residents, relatives and for each other. I’m here to support them to succeed, and Care UK supports me to succeed as well.

While this job is high-pressured and there’s a lot to juggle, the feeling at the end of the day of knowing that you’ve done the best job you can is second to none.
