I have been extremely pleased with the care and dedication of the carers and nursing staff.

Their respect and gentleness with my father are reassuring to us as a family as we do not live close by.

The manager was to email response to a complaint within two days. Still not heard. Meant to be on doctors list, didn't happen. Mummy called 999 to go to A&E, prescribed morphine patches. Not impressed. Staff friendly. One night nurse only gave paracetamol although strong pain relief prescribed. Mummy likes a few staff but doesn't want to be in pain. Activities on offer only two per day. TV in the lounge too loud.

All round very good. Some improvement could be made to communicate to the family and more visual display on entry on who to speak to in the event photo of key points of contact mainly aimed at management, not floor staff or nurses.

Weekends - noticeable change in site at weekends can tell limited numbers on hand.

I had to have a major operation and had to put my husband into respite care. I looked at quite a lot of homes before settling on Foxbridge House and I know I made the right choice. I cannot fault the home or the staff who showed compassion and never left anyone alone. Help was always available.

Since moving my aunt into Foxbridge House I have been delighted with the level of care, environment and facilities provided. The staff are caring, intelligent, happy and thoughtful. The communication is very good and the rooms and public areas are bright modern and lively.

I particularly appreciate the business like professionalism and level of experience of all the staff - nursing and otherwise. Exactly what a care home should be in the 21st century.

The 24-hour care has given my lovely mum peace of mind that someone is always there for her day and night. The staff are so caring and kind towards the residents and go out of their way to go the extra mile to make them feel valued and important.

I live close by so I can pop in frequently but I am happy that all of the Foxbridge House team are providing the full-time care that I sadly can't.

My aunt suffers from Alzheimers/early onset Dementia requiring respite due to family illness. On meeting the manager, discussing our requirements and being shown around I was confident that we had chosen the right care home. The quality of care is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for any member of the staff. They all work as a team and as a family, we were able to relax in the knowledge that our aunt was being well looked after. We were able to visit any time of day or night with no restrictions and always felt involved and consulted where necessary. We found the staff very supportive of the family and they always had time to discuss any matters to avoid any worries or concerns. The care staff encourage the residents to join in with outings, activities and all other kinds of entertainment and are not just left to their own devices. My aunt really enjoyed her stay and thought the staff were lovely, she came home relaxed and happy. Foxbridge House made a big difference.

Mum has been there for 18 months. The whole family are very pleased with the home. The staff are very caring. Activities level dropped for some time as staff left, down from three and a half people to one! Slowly increasing now but needs to get back to previous levels for the benefit of staff and residents.

A caring home that has settled my Dad with efficiency and warmth. Comments are taken on board and help always readily available. The staff are amazing and very patient and understanding at such an emotional time. My Dad is very well cared for but above all, he is in a safe environment.

Though my cousin was only at Foxbridge House for the last two months of her life the care she received from the nursing staff was excellent. I know she was very happy to stay. The administration process was efficient and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a meeting this morning with a customer relationship manager which we found both helpful and productive.
The staff are always happy to stop and talk.

It was a very difficult decision to put my Father-in-law into a home and they ensured the transition went smoothly and reassured all along the way.

Due to a change of circumstances, dad needed care at short notice. The staff at Foxbridge have made him welcome and helped to smooth over what was an unexpected situation. Dad has quickly relaxed into the friendly environment and has enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, having lived alone for a number of years.

Meet the Team (1)

Stella Barnes
Stella BarnesJob Title:Home Manager

There are many different aspects of my role as Home Manager at Foxbridge House, but one of my favourites is the opportunity to meet and get to know residents and their families. It’s a huge privilege.

Every person we care for is at the heart of their care: they make decisions about how they want to be cared for, how they want to spend their day and live their life, and we support them to make that happen.

Central to achieving that is having a superb team. We have great people at Foxbridge House who are determined to do their best for residents, relatives and for each other. I’m here to support them to succeed, and Care UK supports me to succeed as well.

While this job is high-pressured and there’s a lot to juggle, the feeling at the end of the day of knowing that you’ve done the best job you can is second to none.
