Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Our mum's dementia and other health factors prompted us to take the decision to move her to a care home. She has been fiercely independent all her life and was totally against leaving her own home. We had help from social services so we knew we were making the right decision but it was very stressful. The people of Bowes house, and the facility itself, have made my mum's move a great success. We are pleased with all the staff we have met and have dealings with. And our Mum looks healthier, she is eating well, taking her meds and talking to other residents. She's the best I've seen her for many months.

I can only speak very positively of my Mum's experience of two-weeks respite at Bowes House. Having been diagnosed with several health issues, and the hospital not having any beds, my Mum required urgent nursing care. We thought respite would be the answer. Bowes House arranged an assessment and my Mum was moved in within 24 hours. With the loving and professional care she received she has fully recovered and is returning home. Both my Mum and Dad have been fully supported. Staff are caring, professional and very friendly. In 2015, a deeply personal experience - caring for my mother during her battle with cancer - became a turning point in my career. Following her passing, I chose to transition from hospital-based care into the nursing home sector, wanting to improve the quality of life for older people. Over the past 11 years, I have worked as a Home Manager and Peripatetic Manager across groups of nursing homes, specialising in complex care including brain injuries, learning disabilities, and dementia.
I remain deeply passionate about elderly care, taking pride in providing personalised support. Each day, I value having meaningful engagement with residents, especially those without regular visitors, and I believe in maintaining dignity, compassion, and respect in every interaction.
The care home lists weekly fees per person from £1,733 for residential care (respite from £1,949), from £1,828 for residential dementia care (respite from £2,056), from £2,013 for nursing care (respite from £2,264) and from £2,108 for nursing dementia care (respite from £2,371). Funding accepted: Self-Funding (Private), Local Authority with Top-up, NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).
