Mum moved into Ash Tree House in early 2025. We were recommended Ash Tree by a friend after being unsuccessful in finding the right Care Home for Mum. We are extremely happy with Mum's care, and all her needs are met with kindness and dignity. All Staff are kind, caring and respectful, and we know Mum is safe and looked after, which gives us peace of mind.
Mum was a resident at Ash Tree House for almost 2 years and 8 months. She passed away recently in the care home with dignity, kindness and compassion from all the staff who had kept her safe and happy from the day she arrived. She had dementia, and I worried I would have memories tainted by the illness, but what they gave me were happy memories of laughter and smiles that I would never have got from keeping her at home, where she wasn't safe.
Dear Sandra, We'd like to extend our warmest appreciation to you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Positive reviews like this provide a real boost to our team who work tirelessly to deliver the kindest possible care to all our residents. We loved having your mum with us. Thank you for trusting us with caring for your mum.
Mum was happy during her stay at Ash Tree House. Staff were lovely and looked after mum. The home itself was excellent, very well maintained with good facilities. Mum really enjoyed the activities. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team of dedicated colleagues, who continuously strive to provide the highest quality care for our residents.
Ash Tree House Care Home in Hindley
My Mum stayed there for a month whilst she was recovering from a fall she sustained at home,
the staff where so nice especially the lady on reception greeting you with a beautiful smile
The manger was also a lovely lady who could not do enough for you? who had a warm sincere manner and very approachable
Also the lady who administered the tablets was also a kind and a lovely lovely person; but beyond this, the home was spotlessly clean throughout and was more like a 5 Stat Hotel than a Care Home; furthermore all carers and staff members were very polite and very professional in the way they carried out there daily duties
I have no hesitation in recommending Ash Tree House Carr Home to anyone; it is a delightful and well run establishment with the greatest staff you could ever wish to meet
Kindest Regards

Very friendly and caring staff. Always something going on to keep the residents occupied and active. Attentive and helpful to my mum's needs.
Thank you for the care and kindness received by our Mum during her residency at Ash Tree House, Wigan. The care staff, cleaners, kitchen staff, entertainment and front of house staff all contributed to the friendly and caring atmosphere during her stay. At the ending of her life Mum could not have been looked after better and cared for by staff too many to name, but would like to mention two staff members in particular who helped not only Mum but supported the family with sympathy and kindness.

Mum now resides at Ash Tree House since January 2025. She is settled and extremely happy. Staff are warm & caring and she feels safe. Not seen or had any contact with the manager which is disappointing as services should be led from him/her. Overall really excellent but does need little touches from the manager. Maybe presence or walk arounds. Does Ash Tree have a manager?
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are so pleased your mother is settled, happy and feels safe in our care and that you have found our team to be warm and caring. Your positive review of Ash Tree House is greatly appreciated...
Since my mum moved into Ash Tree House, she has been very happy as have we with the are and support that she receives from the staff. Upon arrival we were all early welcomed and we are made to feel more than welcome everytime we visit. Staff are always there to respond to residents needs and requirements and do so with dignity and respect. Food and dietary requirements are of the highest standards. Cleanliness and residents personal hygiene are also maintained to a very high standard. Activities are second to none and cater for individuals capabilities. We were fixed up immediately at such short notice. Mum was really nervous. It was her first ever stay away from home. Having come to live with us nearly 4 years ago. Mum was welcomed with open arms. Welcoming staff. Really pleasant surroundings. The staff could not do enough for her. The care home has pleasant decor and modern furniture. I was worried as Mum does not have any use of her legs due to a fall leading to hip operations leaving her one leg shorter than the other. She had so many falls. She is afraid to stand up but the brilliant team at Ash Tree House got her doing a couple of steps.

The staff could not be more helpful and care for all the residents as if they were their own family.
Our elderly father came into Ash Tree House following an operation for respite and convalescence. He has received excellent care from a dedicated team of professional carers. Throughout his stay, he has been treated with respect, dignity and patience, with all his care needs being recognised and met. The staff are so friendly and truly caring and there is a genuine feeling of warmth throughout Ash Tree House. From initial enquiry to residential care, we have experienced excellent customer service and a great experience. Thank you Ash Tree House.

I can honestly say I speak for the family when we say that we have peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law is being looked after 24/7. We waited for a room to become available in this specific home and it's the best decision we made for her.
As usual the standard of care at Ash Tree is exceptional. I particularly commend the staff who create a relaxed and lively atmosphere/environment and treat residents so well.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
From my initial enquiry in person with reception, the whole experience that followed in assessing Mum (during a coffee morning) and her move to the home was done with care, compassion and an obvious demonstration of experience of helping very frightened and reluctant residents and very anxious families to navigate the process. Every single member of staff I meet, from the lady who made her birthday cake to the ladies who clean her room and everyone in-between, have been special. They have changed my mum's life and mine and are worth every penny.
All the staff were very well trained, pleasant and quick to respond.
I had a very pleasant stay.
From the first call I made enquiring about care at Ash Tree House, I have been very impressed. My dad went in for respite care and was immediately welcomed by all staff and made at ease. Staff are attentive, caring, supportive and loving towards Dad. Knowing he has professional care gives me comfort. Thank you for making and providing a joyful care home that supplied all in need of your services.
The home provides an excellent level of care. It is now over a year since my father became a resident, and he has received exceptional care, with all staff genuinely caring for residents and getting to know them as individuals. They go beyond the levels of care my father received in previous homes that he has stayed at. The rooms are comfortable, the food is of a high standard, and I can rest easy knowing that my father is so well looked after.
Thank you for such a lovely review; it’s great to hear that your father is so settled and happy at Ash Tree House. We always try to go above and beyond to ensure our residents get the best care, and it’s great to hear that we compare so favourably with other homes you’ve experienced.
My aunt has been in Ash Tree House now for two years, previously she was lonely and depressed, she had recently lost her partner and lacked stimulation. Moving to Ash Tree House has given her a new lease of life. There is always something going on, the staff are excellent and the general appearance of the home is a credit. I looked at quite a few places before Ash Tree House and am so glad I found it.
Thank you for sending in this lovely review. We know that living in a thriving community like Ash Tree House can work wonders on our residents' mental health and happiness. We are so glad that you and your aunt found us too!
My overall experience at Ash Tree House has been excellent from the beginning. With Mum suffering from dementia I was really worried about placing her in a care home but all the staff at Ash Tree reassure me every time I visit. Mum is happy, clean and well looked after which is all I could have hoped for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We know it can be really difficult when a loved one goes into care and we hope that, thanks to our experienced carers, we can take some of the pressure off and allow you to spend quality time with your mum without having to worry.
