My mum spent 13 weeks here. I got to know the staff quite well in that time. Mum was treated very well, with care and respect. There was a very good atmosphere, with some of the residents taking time together in the dining room and joining in with the singing.

I felt very welcomed there every time I visited my mum.

My mother has been at Windsor Street for a year now, after an initial 3 week respite care stay. It was her decision to stay permanently. She was always adamant that she didn't want to go into a care home. It has given her a feeling of belonging. She goes to the entertainment and is always saying how great it is. She enjoys eating her meals with her fellow residents. She is extremely well cared for and is happy. She's had a couple of falls and is attended to straight away, whereas at home she would be on the floor for hours. Highly recommend it.

The most wonderful care home. Have looked after my dad wonderfully since my mum passed 2 years ago. When my brother died unexpectedly in February they went above and beyond to get him to the funeral which was an hour away, and cared for him throughout. I can't thank then enough for everything they have done for our family. Thank you.

I cannot begin to explain just how delighted I am with Windsor Street Care Centre. Mum's dementia diagnosis was sudden and a complete shock following a short stay in hospital. The care she has received at Windsor Street has been exemplary. The welcome is always warm; all staff are fabulous and happy.

The care centre is immaculately clean and organised. The reception area is more like a hotel! Our relief at knowing mum is safe and cared for is so very much appreciated. Thank you all for doing a wonderful job.

My mother has been at OSJCT Windsor Street Care Centre since Oct 2024 due to dementia. The home kindly agreed to let me bring her cat over from France, which has been a huge comfort to her and is loved by staff and residents.
The care feels much more personal than what we experienced before - she's treated as an individual, not just a medical case. Staff are kind, understanding and respectful, and communication is generally good. I'm contacted when needed and management is approachable. Having Polish-speaking staff is also a big plus for her.
The home is clean, homely and welcoming, with a nice garden and activities available.
A couple of areas for improvement: clearer communication between management and staff (e.g. planning around her cataract operation), and the food could offer more variety/quality for the price.

Overall, I'm grateful and reassured she's being well cared for.

I have power of attorney over a lady who at 93 had been living alone near Cheltenham . a wonderful neighbour had been more than keeping an eye on her and professional carers were coming in daily. But it was increasingly clear she couldn't manage so i started to look around for homes. the neighbour suggested Order St Johns so i called them.. they were really helpful over the phone and clearly very experienced with these sort of circumstances. they arranged for the lady in question to be picked up and shown around

she loved it immediately and wanted to stay there and then!! they made arrangements to pick her up shortly afterwards and she couldn't have been happier. i made a surprise unannounced visit last month and she was really content there and enjoying life.

My Mother was an emergency admission for End of Life Care at the end of June. She found the change from home to Windsor Street Balmoral Unit difficult to begin with, the Carers and Senior Staff were absolutely brilliant with her and both my Mother and I and my daughter were soon feeling one of the 'family' - the dedication was so warming and happy, Mum thrived there for so much longer than the Doctors anticipated which for her and us her family was comforting even though we knew the end was near.
During the final hours the ' Team' were wonderful at seeing to Mum and our needs too - we felt the love and care immensely.

After Mum passed away Claire and Alena took care of Mum whilst my daughter and I had a walk, they made Mum look so beautiful and peaceful in her bedroom. Mum couldn't have been in a better Care Home than St John's Windsor Street, Prestbury Cheltenham.
