Mum came to CGCH in April this year. She was very unsettled at first but seems to be settled a little more now. Staff has been great. I'm in every day to see mum and all the staff from Elaine & Amanda downstairs to Syndra & all the carers on the 2nd floor.
There has been a few times Mums alarms have been unplugged but I think these times were genuine mistakes.

Also Keira has been a great support for me.

My husband has been a resident at Chiltern Grange for 3 months, for respite initially & now residential. Having seen a few other care homes Chiltern Grange stands out as being excellent. The care is so good & I feel my husband is well looked after & kept safe. We spend a lot of time in the lovely garden. Nothing is ever too much trouble with staff & management alike. Thank you to everyone

This afternoon, Chiltern Grange held a Summer Party for their residents. The turnout was the best I've seen.
The weather was kind, the entertainment ( a singer and his daughter) was age appropriate and got everyone singing.
The staff were attentive, ensuring everyone was happy and giving everyone a bit of their time.
The food and Pimms were a treat.

The organisers did a great job and my mother (and I) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Being a lift engineer I've worked in many care homes. You get used to the norm (I thought).Yet having visited my relative today 16th March here at Chiltern Grange I couldn't believe the whole experience. What an amazing place. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff with time for everyone.
A home from home environment.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for today and also looking after my relative with so much care and compassion.

We had to look for care home as the one mum was in was closing down. Jackie, the Client Service Manager was so warm and welcoming. Jackie showed us around the home which was beautifully decorated in an autumnal theme. We were never made to feel rushed. Mum moved in shortly afterwards and she is so happy at Chiltern Grange. Every time we visit mum , she tells us how happy she is to be living there. The rooms are spacious, the staff are amazing, friendly, attentive and caring and mum says the food is 5 stars. Looking forward to the warmer weather so we can sit out in the garden. Thank you to everyone who takes such good care of mum.

This is a comfortable, welcoming and efficient care home. My mum has been a resident here for nearly 2 years and she is very happy and very well looked after 24 hours of the day. Over that time the home have taken on board feedback and improvements/changes are evident so they act on, and encourage, feedback which is a huge positive. The management are very visible and know the residents by name.
The decor is very relaxing and tasteful compared with other homes.
Activities are very good although I think more could be done here to engage residents in with more tailored activities in smaller groups. Example one group may be watching a film and another group, in a smaller area, doing some in chair exercises or painting or discussing the daily newspaper. I love the fact the carers get residents out into the communal lounge area as much as they can as well as eating together in the dining area.

Food/Drink is of a very high standard although I believe this could offer more variety.

Our first introduction to Chiltern Grange was with Jackie. We needed very short notice rehabilitation care for my Father post surgery. Jackie was incredibly understanding and amazingly responsive. We viewed several options and selected Chiltern Grange based on the quality of the facilities , including bright, practical and recently refurbished ground floor rooms. All the staff we met were very caring and welcoming. My father has decided to extend his stay at Chiltern Grange and has transitioned from rehabilitation to long term care based on his experiences over the last 3 months. Thank you to all the staff for the care and friendship you all extend to my father.

The care my wife has recieved over the past 9 months from the staff has been consistantly genuine which is very reassuring, she was previously in another care home where the staff were less interested in the residents.

The enthusiasm and direction from the management team provides a positive envoirenment which is reflected by the staff in all parts of the home.

There are a range of facilities and and common rooms in the building providing alternative places which the residents and relatives can use, and very pleaseant gardens which means that residents can enjoy outside space and fresh air.

The residents rooms are spacious en-suite and well laid out.

It is not easy being parted from my wife but there is no difficulty seeing her whenever I want to visit., and most other visiting relatives of residents seem relaxed and comfortable to chat to which adds to a pleasant and natural atmosphere.

We really couldn't have asked for better care for our mum while she was with you. We are very grateful for the care, compassion, thoughtfulness and patience shown by the wonderful team at Chiltern Grange, and for making my mum feel as welcome and comfortable as they possibly could. The family were also made to feel very welcome whenever we visited and staff members took the time to get to know us. To know that our mum was being cared for so well brought us great comfort at what could have been a very difficult time for us all.

We would highly recommend Chiltern Grange.

When my Dad's dementia was advanced we had to find a local care home in Buckinghamshire where he would be well looked after. Having visited Chiltern Grange it was evident that we had found exactly the right place as it stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Not only was it situated in the Chiltern Hills close to my family home with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and set in beautiful landscaped gardens, but the building was modern and spacious with well-appointed bedrooms, excellent communal living spaces, delicious nutritional meals, fun activities and regular entertainment. However, what makes Chiltern Grange really special are the people. Both the staff and volunteers are welcoming, friendly, warm, polite, compassionate, respectful and above all else exceedingly caring. My Mum was so impressed with the home that she has decided to live there permanently as well. Although sadly my Dad has now passed I take comfort from knowing my Mum could not be in safer hands.

My Father has been a resident at Chiltern Grange for a year now. He has Alzheimer's.
All the staff there are wonderful, every time we arrive we are met by happy smiling polite members of staff, who ask how we are and are willing to help us straight away.
The level of care, patience and compassion my dad receives is incredible, the food is always delicious and the place is spotlessly clean.
When someone you love has this condition and you have to hand them over to strangers to be cared for it can be very distressing, but because of the care he is receiving we can all relax a bit. It really is so comforting for me, my dad's wife, his granddaughter, all the rest of my dad's family and his close friends, who visit on a regular basis.
I cannot thank every member of staff at Chiltern Grange enough for being the team they are.

Xxxx

My brother sufferers from Alzheimer's and mercifully my sister in law found Chiltern Grange .
The staff are exceptional people ! Nothing is too much trouble.
The building is tastefully furnished and you truly feel like you are in a hotel rather than a care home !
The meals are outstanding and the attention to detail in the restaurant is so uplifting for the clients but their families too - flowers on the tables to name a few extra things that make it special .
I can sleep at night knowing my beloved brother is being well cared for and no harm will come to him in their care .
I only wish I was closer in distance to visit him more often .

A million thank you's to all the staff !

My grandma has been at Chiltern Grange since March 2024 and I am so grateful for the care she receives. The staff are kind, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make residents feel safe and valued. The home is spotless, with beautifully kept courtyard gardens and spacious, homely rooms offering lovely views of the grounds and surrounding fields. There's a welcoming bistro area for family and friends to enjoy refreshments with their loved ones. The chef is fantastic and the food is always freshly cooked and varied. There are always lots of fun, creative activities for residents, with regular entertainment and themed events like summer and Christmas parties with live music and family involvement. My grandma is treated with dignity and compassion every day. The management team are exceptional - kind, caring, and care deeply about the residents. Having experienced other care homes in the past, I can confidently say Chiltern Grange outshines them all.

We needed a care home, emphasis on care, for my Dad, he was on palliative/end of life care and was welcomed, as was all his family, (and family dogs) with open arms and the care and consideration that you would hope and pray for, is exactly what is provided at Chiltern Grange, in abundance.
My Dad was only with Chiltern Grange for around 17 days and yet in that short space of time, Chiltern Grange became our new normal, and a new home. To be able to spend every minute with Dad was priceless, as one member of the family left another couple arrived and so it went on. From the minute you step through the first set of doors you're made to feel like family and welcomed with open arms.

The food was lovely, help yourself to drinks and snacks at the Bistro in the reception area.
