My mother, who has dementia, has now been at Chiltern Grange for just over two years. The staff are without exception caring, compassionate and professional. I can visit any time that suits me and am met by familiar faces each time. I'm always kept fully informed of any issues arising and have the opportunity to discuss things with the managers of the floor she's on. Initially my mother was quite agitated by having to move from her flat to the care home, but over time, with the wonderful care she receives, she has become very settled and I would not want her to be anywhere else.
The care home itself has the feel of an upmarket hotel about it and is set in beautiful grounds. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, including individual rooms and public spaces. There's now even a bistro/coffee room on the ground floor for residents and their guests.

I highly recommend Chiltern Grange and would happily give it more that the five stars allowed.

Chiltern Grange is an amazing residential care home with the look and feel of a five star hotel.
I suddenly had to move a relative from a hospital ward 100 miles away to be closer to the family. From my first visit to a week later when my mother in law moved in, everything went smoothly and I was so pleased to have found the perfect place. Her room was large and beautifully furnished and she was able to bring small pieces of furniture and her numerous family photographs from her own home which helped her settle in quickly.
All the staff are wonderful.
They are all so friendly, kind, and compassionate from the cleaners, laundry staff and reception staff to the carers and nursing staff and it was so reassuring to see the same familiar staff every day when we visited.

My mother in law was nearing the end of her life when she came to stay at Chiltern Grange but with the fantastic professional care of all the staff she had a dignified, comfortable and peaceful passing.

My mother spent three months in the care of the wonderful staff at Chiltern Grange. Everyone was extremely caring, kind and highly professional from the initial home assessment to the support for my mother and the visiting family members. We could visit at times that suited us and communication between the staff and family was perfect. Chiltern Grange has a lovely calm atmosphere with the rooms all looking fresh, clean and well presented.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My husband has been at Chiltern Grange Care Home since July and the care he has received has been exemplary. All of the staff, without exception, are so friendly and kind to residents and visitors alike. The fact that I can go in anytime I want to, makes visiting very easy. Nobody wants a loved one to have to go into care, but the staff here have totally eliminated the worries I initially had. I can highly recommend this home. A special thank you to one particular member of staff her team, who are looking after him so well.

Our mother moved to Chiltern Grange Care Home last year and the care for her throughout her time has been top notch. As well as diligently looking after her they have treated her with respect and accommodated me and my sister's needs for access to mum. The experience with Chiltern when compared with the previous home she stayed in has been like night and day.

My brother has been a resident for 4 months. He has settled in well and gets on well with all the staff and most of the other residents. The staff here are so friendly and the whole place has a very welcoming feeling. Always get a smile from everyone and a chat despite how busy they are. We couldn't have wished for a better home for my brother. Oh yes, and the cakes are amazing!

My father's care needs changed significantly over the weekend and knowing Chiltern Grange would be able to meet these needs, my mother-in-law is a resident, I contacted the care home on Monday and an assessment was carried out the same day. Fortunately, a bed was available on the floor where his needs could be best met and he commenced his stay on the Tuesday at a time to suit his transport. The welcome from the staff was warm and so encouraging, he loved it immediately. The staff go to great lengths to accommodate the resident's needs and make them feel special. My father is very happy with his last port of call.

I reached a point where I was unable to properly care for my wife who was suffering from breast cancer and Alzheimer's dementia. We searched locally, several care homes but came to the decision that Chiltern Grange had more to offer than others. This decision was more than justified as, over the next sex months my wife received exemplary care from the care manager and through the whole host of staff entrusted with her care. Chiltern Grange, in my opinion, is a role model for caring for those in need at this difficult time of life.

Although my brother has been at Chiltern Grange for a relatively short time I feel completely confident that this is the perfect place for him. Recently, my father became unwell and needed a few weeks of respite to recover himself. After checking online reviews, I decided upon Chiltern Grange in Stokenchurch. From my first dealings on the phone, I felt that my father would be in good hands. We arrived at the home’s reception to be greeted by name, as the receptionist was clearly expecting us – a good sign. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, and I felt we had made the right choice straight away.
My father stayed for a month’s respite in a lovely room and the staff were so attentive and caring. He has put weight back on and he is much less anxious than he was on arrival. He kept telling me that his stay was like being at a five-star hotel. He has even ventured out on the weekly ‘jaunts’ to garden centres, museums, and other places of interest.

Many thanks to all the staff who helped my father’s recuperation along and gave us peace of mind that he was being well cared for.

My very elderly mother has been at Chiltern Grange for two years now and I can honestly say that she has felt safe, content and totally cared for. The staff are so patient and understanding, the food is great, there’s plenty of different daily activities and the whole ambience is like that of a five-star hotel. What makes a real difference is having regular staff so that she sees the same faces each day and gets a true sense of continuity, however, the real driving force behind the success of Chiltern Grange comes from the manager who has instigated many positive changes there and has personally gone above and beyond to ensure what is best for my mother. Her thoughtfulness and dedication have been remarkable and a true credit to this care home.

My husband spent just over two weeks in respite care on the nursing unit at Chiltern Grange in January 2024. After a negative experience previously in a different home, I was so very pleased with the care provided here. My husband was treated with respect and dignity and I felt his care needs were well met during his stay there. I had a couple of minor issues which were addressed quickly and effectively by staff, whose attitudes were consistently compassionate. The food generally was flavoursome and varied. We are both more than satisfied and will be using this home again for future periods of respite.
