My father-in-law spent five weeks in Chiltern Grange Care Home for respite care following a nasty fall. Staff treated him with the utmost care and compassion throughout his stay and were always respectful of his wants and needs. Food was of good quality and my husband and I were kept informed of his general health and wellbeing and of doctor’s appointments and test results. Staff were genuinely caring and very kind to him. Would not hesitate to recommend Chiltern Grange.

When Mum was diagnosed with dementia it was a scary, confusing and stressful time for us. My first contact with Chiltern Grange Care Home instantly made me feel more confident in the next steps we had to take for Mum’s safety, security and health. They explained everything and took a personal approach from the outset. Mum was well looked after at Chiltern Grange and I met many of the care staff from the memory floor, they were all very nice and I felt Mum was happy there. The facilities are excellent, beautiful gardens, common areas and restaurants which make it feel like a nice hotel.

Following a search of homes and a very positive meeting with the client services manager at Chiltern Grange Care Home, we booked a period of respite for the gentleman we care for. He has dementia and lost his wife just prior to the pandemic. We are delighted with the care he has received, he is very comfortable and has a good relationship with staff members who care for him.
He broke his reading glasses and the home immediately arranged for an optician to visit and we now have a new pair on the way. I asked if he could have an appointment with the hairdresser when I visited and two days later this was done.
The staff are caring and professional, everyone is helpful and communication is excellent, never a problem to telephone and ask how he is doing or book an appointment to visit.

It's so good to see him looking calm, clean, relaxed and cared for, we feel so very pleased that we have made the decision to make his care permanent.

A very caring place, we are confident our mum is being looked after and given the best possible care and support. We searched for some time before we selected this home. We felt that she would be most comfortable and secure here. She has advanced dementia and her needs are complex, we have the security that she is happy.

My husband, now deceased, spent almost a year at Chiltern Granger suffering from Alzheimer's. They took him in, in a state of total collapse, in June 2020 and from our initial arrival he was treated with extreme kindness and respect. Thanks to all their care he gradually learned to stand again and even to walk two or three steps. They encouraged him to respond to their help to exercise his legs and arms. He survived Covid due to their unceasing care. His end came very peacefully and was not unexpected. He was loved by all his carers, sadly visits were curtailed much of the time but the home did their best. He looked forward to all his meals and snacks, which were well cooked and attractively presented - always with some choice.

Mum’s been in the home since breaking her ankle in September 2020. The staff have been attentive, helpful, professional and friendly throughout her stay and clearly strive to make Mum feel special!

She certainly looks well for a 95-year-old!

Very helpful staff who go out of their way to help my friend settle in and feel comfortable and welcome. A joy to deal with. It's not easy moving from your own home to a care home but this was made simple and stress-free.

I am so pleased I chose to come to Chiltern Grange. I have been here for nine months and throughout this time I have been treated with respect and kindness. The carers are very professional, good at their job and always willing to help where possible. They have a cheerful attitude and work well together as a team. I am made to feel like a person and not just the old lady in a room. I enjoy the food. There is always a choice on the menus including vegetarian options. I particularly like the little extras such as slices of fruit and homemade biscuits served with my mid-morning drink. The home has good links with the local doctors and surgery so extra advice or help is readily available if needed. Looking after us old people is not an easy task but I reckon Chiltern Grange make a very good job of it. Thank you.

My husband and I have been visiting a friend for a few years now and every time we go we are met with extremely pleasant staff, showing so much professionalism and courtesy, with all public and private areas very clean and fresh. Over the past year during this awful pandemic, the residents have been kept safe and well and looked after with care and affection. Now that visiting is allowed, the safety precautions are excellent, with concerns for staff, residents and visitors catered for.

My father-in-law has been at Chiltern Grange for just over a year now, being widowed and going in just before lockdown began. Leaving his home of 65 years was a massive upheaval for him. The home were fantastic from day one. He has slowly settled in, with great help and support from all the wonderful staff. His health has improved both physically and mentally and he enjoys the daily life and entertainment, whilst having his own space when he wants. Communication with us by the home has also been excellent at a difficult time for all. I would highly recommend Chiltern Grange.

The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. The care staff very attentive, picking up an issue with mums physical health recently. Management is always happy to help and quick to respond. Mum is suffering from vascular dementia. She has little short term memory but enjoys activities and entertainer. She is looking forward to trips out once restrictions are lifted.

During my mother's stay the care has been exceptional. The staff in all departments she experienced were kind, friendly, professional and could not do enough to keep her comfortable. They have maintained very high standards throughout Covid times with enjoyable activities too. I would definitely highly recommend this care home.

From the first phone call, first visit and then Mum actually moving in, all the staff have been incredibly kind and professional. They also relate to all of us and our individual needs really well, my sister and I use humour to deal and my dad is very much a straightforward person.
When we have been able to visit (which is so easy to arrange and well set up) Mum is always looking good and is obviously very well settled and happy.
At the moment due to Covid we haven't been able to see much more of the home other than our initial visits but it always looks bright and clean.

Thank you everyone.

My mother was transferred from hospital at the height of the pandemic for respite and rehabilitation care.

The staff took all the worry away from me in organising quick assessments and safe transfer. My mum settled well and has made excellent progress in her recovery.

I am delighted with the overall quality and standard of care that my mum has received at Chiltern Grange. She has been extremely happy with the staff and the care they provide, and in particular, she loves the food! Staff are happy, positive and yet respectful and professional. The floor my mum stays on is kept immaculate and the staff are always attentive, no matter what time of day. I think they do more than care just for physical needs, they obviously care about the whole person. My mum's health, happiness and general wellbeing seem to be topmost on their agenda, and they always have time to talk things through. I am particularly impressed with the quality of the food, the range of the menu and its presentation. As well as keeping all meals healthy, they provide attention to detail which is exceptional. This includes little snacks like homemade biscuits or cake, as well as all of the main meals. Most of all my mum is happy and safe here, and that's everything I could wish for.

Chiltern Grange looked after Mum for two weeks while we adapted her home following a hospital stay. They responded quickly, efficiently, personally and incredibly kindly to our urgent need. They did a great deal to help rehabilitate Mum for her return home and were very responsive to her high dependency needs. They are a kind, caring and well run nursing environment and very importantly, the food was lovely. We are very grateful for all they did for us at a difficult time.
