I visit my friend twice a week and I am just so pleased with everything here at Hartwood House. My friend was so worried about coming in but she calls this her new home. The staff have become her family and to see the way she has come out of her shell is inspiring. She is now eating far better than
she was before, she looks so happy and healthy and I genuinely believe this is from the outstanding care given by the staff at this home.
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeWhat lovely words, thank you so much from all of the team here at Hartwood House. It makes us so happy to hear that she is coming out of her shell, its so hard coming into a social environment when you have been on your own for so long. We like to take the time to get to know each resident and encourage them to participate and socialise when they are ready to do so. Our chef visits also play such a huge part in us getting to know the likes and dislikes of all of our residents, this helps us to provide food that we know they will enjoy. We have all seen such a huge improvement with this particular resident and we are so happy to have her here with us.

I didn't ever want to be in a position of needing care but I must say that this experience of care make me think that I would like to come back here if I had to. The staff are very kind + the rooms very comfortable
I have also enjoyed the companionship of the residents.
I hope one of my children
or my dearest friend will bring me back to visit in the summer
love to everyone who cared for me.

My mum came in for some respite after a hospital fall. The plan was for her to come home. We had tried to get her into respite for many years but she refused. After a few weeks at Hartwood, mum made the decision that she wanted to remain here permanently! We are blown away by the incredible staff here
and the care they show everyone from each-other, the residents and visitors. Hartwood House is more than a care home - its a home!
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. It is such a daunting process for any one thinking about coming into a care home, I am so glad that we were able to give Mum such a positive experience. The fact that she has chosen to stay is just wonderful news, she has made such a good group of friends and to see her interacting and joining them for meal times is so lovely! We really are a family here at Hartwood House and the residents and their loved ones are a part of that also. We are so glad to have you all with us.

My Dad went into Hartwood House on 2nd January 2025. He was greeted in reception by many of the staff which was lovely and welcoming. We were all shown to his room which is a lovely room overlooking the gardens. Dad asked "is this my room, wow, it's lovely". He went off to have his first lunch which
was sirloin steak and a lovely glass of red wine, what a lovely first lunch. Dad is attended to with such loving care and he appears beautifully settled in such a short space of time, under three weeks. He looks so much better now, clean clothes, freshly shaved and looking so much better in himself.
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeThank you Sue for some lovely feedback! Dad is such a delight and we feel so fortunate to have him here with us at Hartwood House. We are glad to hear that you as his Daughter feel he has settled and is enjoying his new home. We will continue to care for Dad with the highest of standards and provide him with those all-important yummy meals!

My mum has been at Hartwood House Care Home for two and a half years now. It is set in beautiful surroundings, and the home is very tastefully furnished and meticulously clean. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for all that they do. They treat mum with such genuine warmth, kindness and compassion,
and they do so with such amazing patience and good humour. I always see them smiling and laughing and they are supportive of not only mum, but us as a family too. They are an absolute credit to Cinnamon Care, and are a very talented and dedicated staff team. Not just the Carers, but all the staff who make up that team. The home is very well managed and run and any concerns we have raised have been promptly and appropriately dealt with. It is a lovely home, and I would certainly recommend it to others.
Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care HomeThank you so much for a glowing review! As a team we are so passionate about enriching the lives of not only our residents but their families too! We say that when a resident joins Hartwood House that they become part of our family (that means their loved ones too). My dad has been at Harwood House Care Home now for several months. It has been nothing but outstanding! From the staff, to the food, to the facilities. The rooms are of such high standard that it's a home from home. I can honestly say that I can sleep at night knowing that my dad is in the best place
we could ask for and with the best team. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The first month for our mother in Hartwood has been nothing short of outstanding. The daunting experience of putting our mother in a care home was far less harrowing than we could have ever imagined. The amazing staff go above and beyond to ensure her well-being, treating her with kindness, respect
and dignity. The care provided is of an exceptional level, ensuring that she feels safe, comfortable, and valued. What really sets Hartwood apart is the brilliant range of activities available. There's always something fun and engaging happening, helping to keep Mum active and getting her socially integrated. It's clear that the team puts a lot of thought into creating a lively and welcoming environment. The standard of food is remarkable, with every meal carefully prepared and tailored to all residents' dietary needs. The quality and variety are truly impressive, making mealtime something to look forward to each day. Overall, I couldn't recommend Hartwood highly enough. From our first impressions, it's a place where you can trust that your loved one will receive exceptional care in a warm, friendly, and vibrant atmosphere.

I have spent four weeks at Hartwood House Care home for respite care. The entire staff, management, carers, and domestic staff are friendly, helpful and caring. My room is comfortable and convenient to use and my visitors have been made welcome. The public lounges are decorated beautifully and are comfortable
places too. The residents I have met for coffee and activities have been friendly too, altogether a very pleasant time for my respite care.

During May, my mum had to come to Hartwood House after a long series of heart issues, over five years when she lived with me and my husband. After suffering another week in hospital with a gallbladder infection, I had to make a tough decision. The staff at Hartwood House settled me and mum into the
reality of having to have more help than I could give her. The staff have been amazing, so welcoming and supportive. I visit three times a week and they always give up their time for a chat and always welcome Mum back after our afternoon trips. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.910)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.910) out of 10 for Hartwood House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 75 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 74 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.910 for Hartwood House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (826 Excellents x 5) + (53 Goods x 4) + (8 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 890 Ratings = 4.91
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hartwood House Care Home is based on 74 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 registered maximum number of service users is 10, which has been reached with 74 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What I Do:
My role here at Hartwood House is to provide support to anyone enquiring about moving into care and the options that are available to them. As Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House, no two days are ever the same — and that’s exactly what I love about my role. From welcoming families for their first visit, to guiding them through the enquiry process and helping them make informed decisions, I am here to ensure every interaction feels personal, supportive and reassuring.

My Experience:
With five years’ experience in the care sector, I truly feel I have found my calling. Supporting families at what can often be an emotional and uncertain time is something I consider both a responsibility and a privilege.

Before moving into care, I worked in hospitality, where I developed a genuine passion for working with people and delivering exceptional service. That background has shaped my approach — I believe families should feel listened to, valued and completely at ease from their very first conversation with us.

For me, this role is about more than admissions; it’s about building trust, creating relationships and helping families feel confident that Hartwood House is the right place for their loved one.

What I do;
As Activities Lead here at Hartwood House, my role is to ensure that activities are not only varied and enjoyable, but truly person-centred. I take the time to get to know each resident — their hobbies, life stories, interests and achievements — so that everything we plan feels relevant and enriching. From creative sessions and gentle exercise, to community visits and special events, my goal is to make every day stimulating and fulfilling.

My experience;
I have worked in the care sector for over 10 years, beginning my journey as a Healthcare Assistant within a nursing home setting. During that time, I supported individuals living with dementia and complex mental health conditions, gaining invaluable experience in delivering compassionate care.

Care has always been more than just a job to me. I truly believe that being able to make a positive difference in someone’s life, no matter how small the moment may seem, is a privilege in itself. Whether through support, companionship, or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face, I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a role where kindness and impact go hand in hand.

About me;
I spend most of my weekends at wedding venues as a bridal makeup artist – I love makeup and art, to me it is a form of self-expression. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager Joined: 2026

What I do:
As Maintenance Manager at Hartwood House Care Home, I am responsible for ensuring the building, facilities, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and fully operational at all times. I carry out regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to create a comfortable and secure environment for both residents and staff.

My role includes overseeing health and safety compliance, managing contractors, maintaining records, and responding promptly to any maintenance issues. I also support the wider team by ensuring all systems—from heating and lighting to safety equipment—are functioning efficiently.

Above all, I take pride in helping provide a safe, homely, and welcoming environment where residents can feel comfortable and cared for every day.

My Experience:
I bring over 30 years of engineering experience from my time with BT, where I was based at Heathrow Airport. In this role, I was responsible for maintaining and supporting communication systems and cabling infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient service in a high-demand environment.

After relocating further south, I transitioned into the care sector, joining our sister home, Mornington Court, as a Maintenance Assistant. This role allowed me to apply my technical skills in a new setting, focusing on creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

I then moved to Hartwood House Care Home, where I now work as Maintenance Manager. In this role, I continue to build on my experience, overseeing all aspects of maintenance and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

About Me:
Outside of work, I’m a big sports enthusiast, with a real passion for golf—any chance I get, I’ll be out on the course. I also enjoy playing snooker in my spare time.

I’m a dedicated football fan and hold a season ticket with Fulham Football Club, rarely missing a game and always supporting the team.
