Susan joined the Abbot Care Home team in March 2025 and was appointed Home Manager in July 2025, bringing over 34 years of experience in the adult health and social care sector. She specialises in caring for older people, including those living with dementia, and has extensive experience across nursing, residential, palliative, day-care, and domiciliary care services.
Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care, Susan works closely with residents, their families, and the care home team to ensure expectations are met and the highest standards of care are maintained. Her dedication, expertise, and compassionate approach make her an invaluable leader within the Abbot Care Home community.

Rubby joined Abbot Care Home as a Care Manager in November 2025. She is a registered nurse and midwife by profession, known for her compassionate, kind, and caring nature. Before coming to England, Rubby spent 15 years as a clinical instructor in the Philippines, training and mentoring nursing students while providing high-quality patient care.
With extensive clinical experience and strong leadership skills, Rubby is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of care for all residents. She works closely with her team to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for. Sibongile is a Registered General Nurse with over five years of professional experience working in England. She began her nursing career in 2021 and has since developed a strong passion for delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
In November 2022, I progressed into the role of Care Manager within a nursing home setting, where I oversee care delivery, support staff development, and ensure services meet regulatory and professional standards. I am highly goal-oriented and take great pride in seeing positive outcomes achieved through well-planned, person-centred care.
I find genuine fulfilment in leading teams to deliver quality care that enhances dignity, independence, and overall well-being for those we support.

As the Clinical Lead at our care home, I am passionate about supporting both residents and colleagues to achieve the highest standards of care. Having successfully been appointed to this role in June 2026, I am excited to begin this new chapter, working closely with the team to promote person-centred care, clinical excellence, and a positive environment where residents feel safe, respected, and valued.
I have worked as a nurse in the UK for over three years, caring for older adults with compassion, professionalism, and dedication. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in medication management, wound care, dementia care, patient advocacy, and mentoring junior team members. These experiences have helped shape my leadership approach and prepared me to support both residents and staff in my role as Clinical Lead.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the difference that quality care can make in someone's life. Whether it is helping a resident take part in an activity, supporting them to maintain their independence, or simply providing reassurance and encouragement, it is always rewarding to see them smile and feel confident in their daily lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, listening to music, reading mystery and detective novels, and spending quality time with my family.

I am very proud to have been a part of the Excelcare team since 2010, initially working within the Essex Regional Team as the Administration Partner across the eleven homes in the Essex Region. During this time, I was honoured to receive annual awards for three of those years. In March 2025, I was given the exciting opportunity to join Abbot Care Home as the Hospitality Manager. My role involves managing all hospitality services to ensure that the people living in the home enjoy a welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable environment. I focus on the quality of meals, housekeeping, and providing an overall excellent experience for those who live there.
With extensive experience in Catering and Housekeeping management, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. I am passionate about creating a warm, homely atmosphere that enhances the lives of the people we care for and their families.
I am the proud owner of two rescue dogs and, more recently, a campervan. I look forward to exploring new places with my four-legged companions. In my spare time, I enjoy crafts, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
