I have been happy with the way mum has been looked after the past four years. She seems quite settled and likes most of the staff. If I have any queries, there is usually someone around to help.

When it became clear my mother required residential care I was aware of the challenges I faced finding a care facility that offered the quality of care and the environment that would meet the standards that I was looking for; I found it at Belvedere Manor Care Home.

From the initial enquiry to Mum moving in, we have been treated with respect and thoughtfulness. The initial assessment of Mum's care needs was thorough and this has been built on over the past month. On the day my mother moved in, the leadership and care team in the Home were on hand to welcome her which reassured my Mum greatly.

Mum has been a resident for a month and I can only praise the professionalism and compassion the staff show in dealing with Mum. I have seen a visible improvement in my Mum's sense of well-being and engagement with day to day activities. The care team support her in maintaining her independence and I am welcomed warmly by the care team when I visit. Very happy with Mum's care.

My mother has been a resident at Belvedere Manor for 3 and a half years and although there have been a few changes and a period of uncertainty in the overall management, the home now seems to be running very successfully and improvements have taken place. I would be keen to recommend.

Our experience at Belvedere Manor has been good. There has been some problems over the past two years but these have been dealt with very efficiently. I now feel more positive with the way the home is run along with the excellent care by all the carers.

Dad appears to be very happy at Belvedere Manor because management and staff are friendly and attentive towards him. They do their best to encourage him to take part in activities which he does sometimes but he declines more often than not as he's never been one for joining in activities. Whenever we have to arrange appts for dad the management and staff are always happy to work in conjunction with us. Dad prefers simple traditional meals so some of the spicy dishes are not to his liking.

The home is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are very spacious with excellent ensuite facilities. The staff are very helpful and kind. The coffee lounge is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal with guests or just a drink. It overlooks the garden where there are lots of seating areas. Entertainment is organised on a regular basis.

My Mother in Law has been resident at Belvedere for four years. The home is very clean, very homely and welcoming. The staff are exceptional in the levels of care they provide. The food is freshly prepared and appetising. They cater for all palates and all medicinal requirements. My Mother in Law is content and happy most of the time, despite advanced dementia. No mean feat! I am incredibly impressed with Belvedere.

Belvedere had problems with the service earlier this year but since the management team intervened and new staff were appointed, things have improved greatly. Management and staff team are very skilled and the training given has meant that carers are better equipped to provide appropriate care.

My mum was a resident at Belvedere Manor for just over two years and I wanted to comment on the tender loving care she received at the end of her life from the care team and to express how comforting it was for us as a family to have her looked after in what had become her home and cared for by staff who had become friends to us all.
Belvedere Manor is visually a very attractive home, it is always clean and well maintained. Everything is light and bright and the layout is well thought out with wide corridors and well-appointed lounges, dining rooms and a lovely coffee shop area. There is also a beauty salon which my mum so enjoyed during her time there.
The kitchen staff work very hard to make varied and tempting meals, homemade soups were my mum’s favourite.

The new management team are passionate about creating a supportive and caring home not just for the residents but for their families also. Our final thanks go to the chaplain, such a support to us all.

In the last six months under the management team, the home has been completely turned around. The staff appear to be happy in their work and treat the residents with respect and friendliness. I hope the home continues at this standard and wish it success in the future.

This care home accepted my mother back following an operation for a broken femur. The response to her needs was excellent. She is 98 years old and has dementia.

Her medical needs were clearly taken into account, reassuring her family. A lowering bed, crash mat, sensors on the bed, chair and even the motion detectors were quickly provided as safety measures in case she was to fall. The staff from the manager to care assistants provided comforting assurances so I know my mother is safe and cared for by professional people.
