I make this point not as a criticism but purely as an observation. I realise you are bound by medical restrictions etc and they always present individuals who may often run for legal assistance more often than is necessary. However, I do feel that offering minor medication for colds, coughs and tummy
troubles as one would have without calling in the doctor would assist the residents better. I realise in severe cases it is imperative that you have to bring in paramedics and doctors.

A beautiful building with well-maintained gardens and very clean inside and out.
The activity organiser is very helpful and eager to encourage all residents to participate in activities when the entertainer is in.
Management always pleasant and lots of smiles which have the same effect on the residents.

Staff morale has clearly improved since the new manager was appointed. When any concerns arise, staff and management are approachable and keen to react.
Prime importance for me is that my mum is living in a clean, warm and safe environment where she is well cared for and respected by friendly staff.

Although my father has only been in this care home for a short while, having been in another home for over 5 years, Belvedere Manor is like a 5 Star Hotel in comparison to a run down hostel where she was previously.

In the 3 weeks since my wife (who suffers from Alzheimer's) moved to Belvedere Manor. The care, support and friendliness have been outstanding. Immediately on arrival, we were greeted in a most welcoming way. The teams of carers have quickly become familiar with her requirements. The facilities are
first class. Everywhere is spotless, clothes laundered returned safely. Expert help was provided to decorate her lovely airy room. The administration has been very efficient. The home is well managed and it is of great comfort to know that she is being so well looked after.

My family and I recently had a problem with my father, who is divorced from my mother, turning up at Belvedere Manor and requesting to see my mother. My mother suffers from Dementia and she was very distraught about his visit, the manager escorted him from the building and we were immediately informed
about the situation. The manager and all the staff have made sure that my mother has not been put in this position again and keep us updated. We are extremely grateful to the management and staff for handling a difficult situation and at the same time giving us peace of mind that Mum was being protected and cared for.

My overall experience of Mum's care is good.
If I have any concerns they are quickly sorted out.
I appreciate things can be more difficult as she is totally deaf in her left ear and isn't far off with the right ear.

From the very first day Mum came and was accepted, we felt we had chosen the right place for Mum to spend time here and knew straight away all her needs would be met.
You haven't failed in that respect and that Mum is a much happier person for it, and safe to say its changed her life for the better.

When it became clear my mother required residential care I was aware of the challenges I faced finding a care facility that offered the quality of care and the environment that would meet the standards that I was looking for; I found it at Belvedere Manor Care Home.


From the initial enquiry to Mum

moving in, we have been treated with respect and thoughtfulness. The initial assessment of Mum's care needs was thorough and this has been built on over the past month. On the day my mother moved in, the leadership and care team in the Home were on hand to welcome her which reassured my Mum greatly.


Mum has been a resident for a month and I can only praise the professionalism and compassion the staff show in dealing with Mum. I have seen a visible improvement in my Mum's sense of well-being and engagement with day to day activities. The care team support her in maintaining her independence and I am welcomed warmly by the care team when I visit. Very happy with Mum's care.

My mother has been a resident at Belvedere Manor for 3 and a half years and although there have been a few changes and a period of uncertainty in the overall management, the home now seems to be running very successfully and improvements have taken place. I would be keen to recommend.

Our experience at Belvedere Manor has been good. There has been some problems over the past two years but these have been dealt with very efficiently. I now feel more positive with the way the home is run along with the excellent care by all the carers.

Dad appears to be very happy at Belvedere Manor because management and staff are friendly and attentive towards him. They do their best to encourage him to take part in activities which he does sometimes but he declines more often than not as he's never been one for joining in activities. Whenever we
have to arrange appts for dad the management and staff are always happy to work in conjunction with us. Dad prefers simple traditional meals so some of the spicy dishes are not to his liking.

The home is furnished and decorated to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are very spacious with excellent ensuite facilities. The staff are very helpful and kind. The coffee lounge is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal with guests or just a drink. It overlooks
the garden where there are lots of seating areas. Entertainment is organised on a regular basis.

My Mother in Law has been resident at Belvedere for four years. The home is very clean, very homely and welcoming. The staff are exceptional in the levels of care they provide. The food is freshly prepared and appetising. They cater for all palates and all medicinal requirements. My Mother in Law is
content and happy most of the time, despite advanced dementia. No mean feat! I am incredibly impressed with Belvedere.

On every occasion, I visit the home I find all the staff from management down, extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The care given to my Mum is always 100%. I have always felt very confident in the abilities of all the care staff to provide the very best for the residents.

Belvedere had problems with the service earlier this year but since the management team intervened and new staff were appointed, things have improved greatly. Management and staff team are very skilled and the training given has meant that carers are better equipped to provide appropriate care.

My mum was a resident at Belvedere Manor for just over two years and I wanted to comment on the tender loving care she received at the end of her life from the care team and to express how comforting it was for us as a family to have her looked after in what had become her home and cared for by staff
who had become friends to us all.
Belvedere Manor is visually a very attractive home, it is always clean and well maintained. Everything is light and bright and the layout is well thought out with wide corridors and well-appointed lounges, dining rooms and a lovely coffee shop area. There is also a beauty salon which my mum so enjoyed during her time there.
The kitchen staff work very hard to make varied and tempting meals, homemade soups were my mum’s favourite.
The new management team are passionate about creating a supportive and caring home not just for the residents but for their families also. Our final thanks go to the chaplain, such a support to us all.
