My mother has two weeks respite at Belvedere. She was assessed in hospital by the manager, promptly and was admitted the day after. The manager ensured that the process was efficient. She was treated very well by all the staff, and her needs were met. She appreciated being able to make a special request
to the chef. I enjoyed having lunch with her on a few occasions. We were both looked after.

The entire team at Belvedere Manor have made an incredibly difficult time much easier for my family and me. The transition from care at home to residential care is tough, but seeing my Father welcomed and looked after by all staff (from the carers to the coffee bar, the chaplain and the manager), has
provided invaluable reassurance. The facilities are excellent, but it is the people that really make the difference. Thank you!

Mum receives loving care form a team of carers who have got to know and understand her needs. Her room is kept very clean. She is well fed, with additional liquid offered regularly. The staff interact well with her and she occasionally participates in activities. Personal hygiene is well facilitated
and as a Mum has double incontinence. This is very important to me. I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and the coffee shop is an added bonus at the weekend.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Belvedere Manor. My mum is looked after at the highest level, the place is beautiful and clean beyond belief. It's like a 5-star hotel. The staff are attentive and always smiling, never too busy to help. The manager has been fantastic, nothing is too much
trouble for him. All a credit to MHA.

First impressions - like a nice, quiet hotel. Loads of quiet areas for those who want it and lovely communal spaces too. My aunt's room was very comfortable and not at all clinical. The staff I met were friendly, polite and seemed genuinely caring.

My father has 6 weeks at Belvedere Manor before sadly passing away on the 17/9/2019.
He was very settled there and the care he was given was 1st class when visiting it never felt like a care home, it was a home and all were welcome. The manager and his team have achieved a home where the elderly can
live with dignity and love. My family thank them all.

She has a lovely bedroom which is always very clean and tidy.
Everyone is very caring and helpful.

My parent has been in this home for 7 months now. It obviously takes time to adapt to a major lifestyle change. In that time I have been very impressed in the efforts of the home to make life as comfortable as can be and in trying to accommodate her special individual needs. I feel staff are attentive
and am appreciative of their efforts and friendship.

I make this point not as a criticism but purely as an observation. I realise you are bound by medical restrictions etc and they always present individuals who may often run for legal assistance more often than is necessary. However, I do feel that offering minor medication for colds, coughs and tummy
troubles as one would have without calling in the doctor would assist the residents better. I realise in severe cases it is imperative that you have to bring in paramedics and doctors.

A beautiful building with well-maintained gardens and very clean inside and out.
The activity organiser is very helpful and eager to encourage all residents to participate in activities when the entertainer is in.
Management always pleasant and lots of smiles which have the same effect on the residents.

Staff morale has clearly improved since the new manager was appointed. When any concerns arise, staff and management are approachable and keen to react.
Prime importance for me is that my mum is living in a clean, warm and safe environment where she is well cared for and respected by friendly staff.

Although my father has only been in this care home for a short while, having been in another home for over 5 years, Belvedere Manor is like a 5 Star Hotel in comparison to a run down hostel where she was previously.

In the 3 weeks since my wife (who suffers from Alzheimer's) moved to Belvedere Manor. The care, support and friendliness have been outstanding. Immediately on arrival, we were greeted in a most welcoming way. The teams of carers have quickly become familiar with her requirements. The facilities are
first class. Everywhere is spotless, clothes laundered returned safely. Expert help was provided to decorate her lovely airy room. The administration has been very efficient. The home is well managed and it is of great comfort to know that she is being so well looked after.

My family and I recently had a problem with my father, who is divorced from my mother, turning up at Belvedere Manor and requesting to see my mother. My mother suffers from Dementia and she was very distraught about his visit, the manager escorted him from the building and we were immediately informed
about the situation. The manager and all the staff have made sure that my mother has not been put in this position again and keep us updated. We are extremely grateful to the management and staff for handling a difficult situation and at the same time giving us peace of mind that Mum was being protected and cared for.

From the very first day Mum came and was accepted, we felt we had chosen the right place for Mum to spend time here and knew straight away all her needs would be met.
You haven't failed in that respect and that Mum is a much happier person for it, and safe to say its changed her life for the better.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.909)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.909) out of 10 for Belvedere Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.395 for Belvedere Manor is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (21 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 162 Ratings = 4.395
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.514 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belvedere Manor is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 registered maximum number of service users is 16.8. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.8 = 0.714
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
