Mum first stayed here for a couple of weeks for respite care. She was looked after excellently. Eventually, she has had to go in full-time. It is a weight off my mind knowing the level of care she will receive here. All the staff are so welcoming, calling her by her first name. The entertainments team
are brilliant and get everybody joining in, even the shy ones. I have absolutely no worries whatsoever that she is in the best possible place that will cater for all her needs - now and in the future.

My stay in Belvedere Manor was very rewarding. I enjoyed the care I received and the excellent food, all the activities and the trips out. The atmosphere was one of fun and laughter resulting in a good quality of life for residents with dementia.
There is one thing I would like to suggest for additional
safety of residents like me, there for respite care. I am very unsteady and would have liked a grab rail in the shower room. I am also partially handicapped physically.

My husband and myself went to review Belvedere Manor unannounced for a family friend. We were welcomed warmly into this beautiful home and shown around into every possible area. Activities, meals, care in general were all well explained and we were offered delicious refreshments. The activity programme
and menu - choices, venues etc were wonderful. It was stressed each resident would be treated with dignity and respect and as an individual. Our friend is very happy on her admission and all other subsequent visits all agree and more with what we have already said.

We needed emergency respite care for my father with a view to short and maybe long term residency. Both my mum and dad were not coping at home. The previous manager came to do an assessment and realising the urgency of the situation, was able to accept my father the next day, which we were very grateful
for.
The care home is absolutely beautiful - like a hotel in fact. The rooms are light and airy and accessible for all needs. The staff are lovely and very accommodating - we were able to liaise on a daily basis to provide a safe, relaxing environment for my father - any worries my mum can discuss.
We tried dad back home for a week but by Saturday morning both mum and dad were again not coping at all - we spoke to the administration assistant at Belvedere and within the hour we were able to return to the care home - same room. Thanks.

Lovely staff. Genuinely care and go the extra mile to ensure residents satisfaction. The activities manager is fantastic and always ensures that a calm and collected atmosphere is always in place for visitors and residents. He is a very bubbly and funny guy and always makes it fun to be there.

My father-in-law died in January this year and we had to find suitable care for my mother-in-law who has no short term memory. After visiting many care homes Belvedere Manor stood out in the crowd without doubt. Does it feel like some of the typical care homes visited, no it does not.


The staff

have been very good all the way through this traumatic experience. They care with a smile, patience and respect. I feel that this must be the ethos of Belvederes as even the youngest staff show such respect to the seniors. The entertainment provided is excellent, well planned and includes trips out which are enjoyed by many and there is always something going on. With such a good entertainment programme my mother-in-law has busy days and although she cannot remember them she is happy in the moment which is so nice to see.


My husband and I live in New Zealand and it is such a weight off our minds to know that my mother-in-law is cared for so well. Thank you to all.

The home is bright, modern and has a welcoming atmosphere. The dining room is set around small tables with tablecloths with large windows. There is a full activity programme with an excellent co-ordinator. The carers are pleasant and attentive. My mother-in-law has settled in well despite this not being
her preferred choice, she wanted to stay at home. She is well cared for, well presented and enjoying joining in the activities.

My sister has been very well taken care of by a very friendly and welcoming staff. She is always kept clean and comfortable and although she has a poor appetite she is presented with a very tempting menu. The activities are many and varied and are well thought out, the man responsible is inclusive of
all those present and friends to everyone. The maintenance man also sees that everything is running smoothly.

My mum is a resident with dementia but she is always treated with respect and dignity by the staff. Before being in the home the furthest she went was to the supermarket or daycare but since being in Belvedere Manor she has been to Blackpool, Wycollar, on country runs, out for coffee and to the pantomime,
which is more than she has done for years, Twice everyday there is entertainment provided by entertainments manager, he really deserves a medal, no-one could work harder or come up with more ideas, he knows each resident by name, their likes and dislikes and I'm sure he puts more into his job than required, the residents would be lost without him.
The food is good and varied with different options should a resident not want what is on the menu, and the whole place is spotlessly clean.
To me there isn't another home in the area that comes close in standards of care and quality, and I would be devastated if ever mum had to go elsewhere. So a big thank you to all the staff.

We are very happy with the care provided at Belvedere. Our grandmother is very satisfied. We feel best efforts are made to treat residents with care and respect. There are many activities designed not only for fun but to promote and maintain mental, emotional and physical health. Residents views are
canvassed and acted upon eg. in relation to menus. If only all care homes were like this. Well done. Keep it up.

Mum is happy there, occasionally gets frustrated because she cant get help exactly when she expects it. Plenty of social activity daily with weekly visits to local attractions, which she feels could be more varied. Meals do not have enough variety but overall standards of living there are good.

First class in every aspect, warm, friendly and very welcoming.
From the moment you arrive the management and staff are keen to ensure all aspects of care and support is forthcoming; nothing appears to be too much trouble. Full credit to all involved.
Nursing staff are extremely helpful in all aspects
of their work. The entertainment programme and manager are first class, any facility or maintenance that is requested is attended to swiftly and courteously, nothing appears to be too much trouble.

I have enjoyed joining in activities with the organiser who keeps everyone busy with good humour. Rooms are beautiful and light. Care staff are lovely. Food is plentiful. I would recommend this home to anyone and will return if I need to in the future. Great Irish night and trips out, like being on

Since Mum has moved into this home from another I have been very happy with the high standard of care given at Belvedere Manor. The staff are fantastic, happy to help at all times and rate communication with residents as very important which is something mum enjoys very much, staff take the time to
smile and wave as they go by and stop by for a chat when they can. The entertainment and activities are brilliant, the organiser always happy to get people involved and encourage those who are maybe a little quiet, to try and attend activities. The maintenance man has been fantastic, helping to put all mums pictures up and make her room as much like home as possible, he takes time to go and talk to mum and again encourages her to get involved. I cannot recommend Belvedere Manor highly enough after 12 months in a different home that did not meet mums needs she is now settled in a wonderful caring environment.

I came to visit my mother yesterday and was amazed at the whole experience. The home was spotlessly clean but it was the fantastic staff that makes residents and visitors so welcome. We were treated with warmth and kindness. Nothing was a problem. The thing that really stood out for me was that all
the residents were smiling and enjoying the entertainment from the music played by the pianist, he got some singing and dancing. They were happy to hear old songs that brought back memories. It is the nicest home I have ever been in. Residents were all treated with respect and empathy. The manager is running a fantastic home and staff. Highly recommended.

Whenever I call to see my sister there are staff around who know her by name and remember both my wife and myself talk to us about her care, the ups and downs. They (the staff) encourage my sister to participate in all the regular activities which she thoroughly enjoys. The only downside to that is
there are no or very limited activities at the weekend which I feel would be beneficial if something was in place. My sister feels love, cared fro and safe. We are always welcomed and made to feel at ease.

It was a very warm and welcoming place full of happy residents. I was very pleased with how my nan said she'd settled in and was over the moon with the whole place. All of the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you! It was MUCH better than any other care home I'd been to previously, and
it was so lovely to see how happy everyone seemed. Very clean and bright. Couldn't have had friendlier staff.

My husband was with Belvedere for 3 1/2 months. The home was equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The bedrooms large and beautifully furnished. The home was extremely clean and the staff easily identified in smart uniforms. They were extremely helpful and considerate to all residents. The food was excellent
and available at all times of day. This home should be used as a template for all residential homes. I regret having to move my husband to another home because he would be requiring nursing home status in the near future. It would be welcome if Belvedere could acquire nursing home status in the near future. Very highly recommended.
