We are very happy with the care provided at Belvedere. Our grandmother is very satisfied. We feel best efforts are made to treat residents with care and respect. There are many activities designed not only for fun but to promote and maintain mental, emotional and physical health. Residents views are
canvassed and acted upon eg. in relation to menus. If only all care homes were like this. Well done. Keep it up.

Mum is happy there, occasionally gets frustrated because she cant get help exactly when she expects it. Plenty of social activity daily with weekly visits to local attractions, which she feels could be more varied. Meals do not have enough variety but overall standards of living there are good.

First class in every aspect, warm, friendly and very welcoming.
From the moment you arrive the management and staff are keen to ensure all aspects of care and support is forthcoming; nothing appears to be too much trouble. Full credit to all involved.
Nursing staff are extremely helpful in all aspects
of their work. The entertainment programme and manager are first class, any facility or maintenance that is requested is attended to swiftly and courteously, nothing appears to be too much trouble.
All in all a top care facility and excellent staff all round

I have enjoyed joining in activities with the organiser who keeps everyone busy with good humour. Rooms are beautiful and light. Care staff are lovely. Food is plentiful. I would recommend this home to anyone and will return if I need to in the future. Great Irish night and trips out, like being on
holiday.

Since Mum has moved into this home from another I have been very happy with the high standard of care given at Belvedere Manor. The staff are fantastic, happy to help at all times and rate communication with residents as very important which is something mum enjoys very much, staff take the time to
smile and wave as they go by and stop by for a chat when they can. The entertainment and activities are brilliant, the organiser always happy to get people involved and encourage those who are maybe a little quiet, to try and attend activities. The maintenance man has been fantastic, helping to put all mums pictures up and make her room as much like home as possible, he takes time to go and talk to mum and again encourages her to get involved. I cannot recommend Belvedere Manor highly enough after 12 months in a different home that did not meet mums needs she is now settled in a wonderful caring environment.

I came to visit my mother yesterday and was amazed at the whole experience. The home was spotlessly clean but it was the fantastic staff that makes residents and visitors so welcome. We were treated with warmth and kindness. Nothing was a problem. The thing that really stood out for me was that all
the residents were smiling and enjoying the entertainment from the music played by the pianist, he got some singing and dancing. They were happy to hear old songs that brought back memories. It is the nicest home I have ever been in. Residents were all treated with respect and empathy. The manager is running a fantastic home and staff. Highly recommended.

Whenever I call to see my sister there are staff around who know her by name and remember both my wife and myself talk to us about her care, the ups and downs. They (the staff) encourage my sister to participate in all the regular activities which she thoroughly enjoys. The only downside to that is
there are no or very limited activities at the weekend which I feel would be beneficial if something was in place. My sister feels love, cared fro and safe. We are always welcomed and made to feel at ease.

It was a very warm and welcoming place full of happy residents. I was very pleased with how my nan said she'd settled in and was over the moon with the whole place. All of the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you! It was MUCH better than any other care home I'd been to previously, and
it was so lovely to see how happy everyone seemed. Very clean and bright. Couldn't have had friendlier staff.

My husband was with Belvedere for 3 1/2 months. The home was equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The bedrooms large and beautifully furnished. The home was extremely clean and the staff easily identified in smart uniforms. They were extremely helpful and considerate to all residents. The food was excellent
and available at all times of day. This home should be used as a template for all residential homes. I regret having to move my husband to another home because he would be requiring nursing home status in the near future. It would be welcome if Belvedere could acquire nursing home status in the near future. Very highly recommended.

I am very impressed with the facilities of this care home, it has been well thought out before construction, and meets the needs of the residents admirably. The staff are pleasant and accommodating and appear to enjoy their jobs. I must point out the excellent way the activities co-ordinator carries
out his duties, on a one to one basis and in a group situation. The social and aesthetic needs of residents is paramount and he is excellent in his role.

My mother became a resident at Belvedere in November and the whole process was faultless. The support received throughout the induction was dealt with professionally and with care and consideration. The staff are incredible at all levels, including management and carers and caterers.
My mother felt
completely at home and has settled extremely quickly. This is due to several factors, the attention to detail with the overall look and decor of the home and with the fantastic activity programme in place. She now feels part of a large extended family and that is of great comfort to my family.
Well done belvedere keep up the good work !

I visited my mum for the first time since she was admitted a week ago (live down South) and as you can imagine wasn't sure what to expect, but I left feeling so relieved and happy that she is in such a caring environment. The care home is more like a 5* Hotel, beautifully decorated, incredibly clean
and very good food. All the staff are warm and friendly and would especially like to thank the receptionist and the maintenance manager, who went above and beyond their help with my mum and setting up her room for her. I would highly recommend Belvedere Manor.

It was a very hard time as a family, knowing that we had to find a care home for my Mum. When I first visited my Mum, I could not believe how beautiful and clean the care home was. It looks more like a 4 star hotel. I walked through the door and was greeted with the entertainments manager, he was fabulous,
my Mum was sat with other residents and I got to join in the fun. The staff are really attentive and they have so much respect for their residents. My Mum's room is lovely. I have visited on a number of occasions and I always get the same feeling. I can rest knowing my mum is being cared for now.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.909)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.909) out of 10 for Belvedere Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.395 for Belvedere Manor is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (21 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 162 Ratings = 4.395
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.514 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belvedere Manor is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 registered maximum number of service users is 16.8. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.8 = 0.714
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
