The care they provide is great, all members of staff are genuinely caring and are keen to know the individual residents history and interests to make the transition as smooth as possible. The staff are very proactive with improving mobility, helping residents interact and calling the GP when necessary.
The home itself is modern, accessible and well kept, the corridors are wide and bedrooms/bathrooms are spacious. There is plenty of homely lounge space and a varied timetable of daily activities which the staff encourage residents out their rooms to participate in. All the staff are enthusiastic and take part in the activates with the residents.
The food is lovely, a daily menu is displayed and there always seems to be a great variety throughout the week. They also have healthy snack and hydration stations which are a great way of encouraging residents to keep their fluid intake up.
Overall, we are more than pleased that we moved our relative into Buckingham Lodge Care Home and we would thoroughly recommend it to other Families.
The whole family are extremely happy with the care mum is receiving and have no worries about her continued safety, welfare and happiness.

We currently have two vacancies for care. Please contact Buckingham Lodge for further details.
Hello!
My name is Simon, and I am the Home Manager at Buckingham Lodge.
I am originally from Lancashire but moved to Buckinghamshire at the age of 18 years. I have spent all of my career working in adult social care, mainly in the charitable and not-for-profit sectors.
I’ve worked across all of the different care sectors, and I believe I have gained a good understanding of the issues that people in our care experience, as well as an appreciation of how daunting it must be to move from the family home into residential care. The thought that I am in the privileged position of being able to influence and have a positive impact on people’s lives is very motivating and rewarding for me.
I am also passionate about supporting our staff to develop and achieve to the best of their ability. If we have a happy and engaged staff team, we should have happy, well-cared-for residents and a happy home – everyone matters!
If we can put each individual at the centre of all that we do, we can ensure that our residents are fully involved in all of our decision-making processes, enabling us to deliver care and support that is as individual as they are.
Away from work, I am married with two children and a dog. If I am not at Buckingham Lodge or at home (or out walking the dog), I can be found following the mighty Preston North End around the country.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
