She is in a beautiful suite with bedroom, lounge with kitchen area and large wet room and toilet. This means she can have visitors who can sit in her room with her and watch tv, chat or alternatively they can use the onsite coffee room or one of the many nooks and lounges to sit and chat in comfort.
The staff are very kind and attentive and mum is absolutely thriving. She had said she wouldn't do any of the activities but the coordinators come and pick her up and she goes along to everything and thoroughly enjoys it. She even joined in dancing which I never thought would happen!
The food is very good and is served either restaurant style with waiters and three courses or in the Bistro which is more informal.
The whole process hasn't been without a few bumpy moments, but overall we are very happy and so is Mum.
The team here at Signature at Pembroke House would firstly like to thank you for your kind words. We strive, as a team, to work closely with our residents so we can provide the very best care for each individual in our home, and we are glad to have made a difference.
The staff are kind and attentive, always willing to help and reassure. The standard of cleanliness is high, as is personal care. I have eaten the food, and it is tasty and varied. My dad was off his food, and the chef visited personally to find out if there was more they could do. If you are nervous about residential care, I would recommend a visit to Pembroke House and have a look around.
Our dining team will be thrilled with your lovely comments. Here aT Pembroke House, we cater for each resident based on preferences and dietary requirements. Hearing this positive feedback is greatly appreciated by everyone in the home.
My Mum sadly died recently, having lived at Pembroke House for over 5 years. She arrived as a resident and then needed nursing for her final 6 months. My Mum was very well looked after by all the staff at Pembroke House. They knew her well and did their utmost to keep her happy. Mum was interested in birds, so they put a little bird feeder in a tree outside her window. One of the carers gave her a book on birds, which she treasured. Another time, some sweets appeared, when Mum mentioned some that she liked. Her favourite foods were always on offer to try to get her to eat when her health was failing. The maintenance team moved my Mum to 3 different rooms during her time there, when she wanted a change of scene. I witnessed countless small acts of kindness over the years. The carers and nursing staff and the ladies on reception are professional and friendly and give Pembroke House a welcoming and friendly feel. I highly recommend it.
Generally, the spaces are clean, staff attentive, willing to speak at the drop of a hat plus able to smile after the worst that covid could throw at them! The nurses are on it and fill mums life with thoughts and care.
Thank you for your review and kind words regarding our care staff who strive to make every day special for all our residents.
The home is extremely well appointed with comfortable and attractive rooms as well as excellent communal areas and leisure facilities. These include a cinema and an activities room and an impressive dining room. We found the food to be of a very high standard with many options and the staff made every effort to cater for any special meals that were requested.
The nursing and care staff were always prompt in attending to our needs in a most pleasant and efficient manner both day and night.
Altogether the home is a credit to the management and staff and we were very happy to extend our visit by a further three weeks than originally intended.
Thank you for your review and kind words. It was our pleasure to host you both, and do feel free to pop in for a coffee and a cake when you are next free.
I would recommend this care home to anybody, they certainly look after the well-being
of their residents. Well done to all concerned.
Dear Shirley,
Thank you for your review and kind words. Your Aunt is a lovely lady and it pleases us all here how well she has perked up and began to enjoy life at Pembroke House. We look forward to seeing you soon.
My husband and I spent two weeks in Pembroke House after my operation and found without exception all staff friendly and helpful. Food varied and enjoyable, served by friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this home to others.
Thank you for your review and kind words. It was a pleasure to have you both stay with us.
Since joining Pembroke she has a new lease of life. The dedicated activity coordinators cater for a diverse range of interests with daily choices of optional entertainment/activities to get Mum socialising and keep her fit.
Pembroke House is beautifully appointed and always immaculately clean both in communal areas and residents suites. It’s such a pleasure to visit.
The dining experience is first class with a good range of menu options beautifully presented.
Staff are always so kind and friendly and take pride in what they do - Mum is well cared for and treated with dignity at all times. It has been a comfort in the Covid years to know that she is being so well looked after and can maintain her social interactions whilst being kept safe.
Thank you for your review and kind words. It's heartwarming for us to read your comments. Your mum has embraced life at Pembroke House, joining in many activities and always with a big smile and a hello for staff and residents alike.
My mother spent several years at Pembroke House in Camberley. She loved her time there and thought the world of the staff who worked there. They showed such kindness to her and made sure she was as happy as possible. Her health improved so much with the superb food and great efforts of the nursing teams in the home. Sadly she passed away a few weeks back in the home and the compassion shown by everyone was just lovely. It is such a comfort to know that my mum had a wonderful last stage of her life spent in Pembroke House.
Thank you for your review and kind words. Your mother was much loved by all the staff. She always had a smile, and, took time to chat with people, and often offered encouragement and support to new residents. She is missed very much by all at Pembroke House.
This modern care home in Camberley Centre is well appointed with a very pleasant decor. All the staff were welcoming and friendly with concern for visitors. The care staff are kind, compassionate, patient and always respectful. Call bells are generally answered within a reasonable time. Privacy is maintained and individual preferences are followed. Qualified staff (nurses) are approachable, professional and communication is good.
Thank you for your kind words and review. I shall pass your comments on to our staff.
My family and I could not be happier with the environment and care that my mother has received at Pembroke House since she moved in last year. She was in a poor and deteriorating state last year and is now happier and healthier by great measure in comparison. The staff have always been friendly, welcoming to us, and genuinely seem to enjoy their work and looking after the residents.
Thank you for your review and kind words. Our team loves caring for your mother, and it's lovely to see how she has settled in and engages in our social activities.
This is an exceptional residential home. Generous room space and highest quality tasteful fittings. The quality of food is first-class and tailored to the needs of each resident. A wide range of activities and interests is catered for. The place has the feel of a hotel rather than a care home yet the full range of resident needs - from semi-independence to end-of-life care - are well catered for. Despite the national recruitment problem for care homes, in my 2 years of contact with Pembroke House, there has been little turnover and the quality of staff and responsiveness of management has been consistently high. This is not just a good place, it is an excellent one.
Thank you for your kind words and valuable feedback. It is very much appreciated.
My father had a wonderful respite stay at the end of October 2021. The staff were very attentive, caring and proactive to ensure his stay was an enjoyable one. Facilities, food and care were first class.
Thank you for your kind words and review. Our care team loved having your father stay with us for respite, and were sorry to say goodbye to him.
All aspects of Pembroke House are well organized and led. Staff and management are caring, approachable, helpful and friendly. My son has an acquired brain injury and found himself needing a lot of care after having had a relatively independent life. It has been reassuring for us to find a place for him that understands him and is interested in making his life as good as it can be. He is very well supported medically, holistically and physically. A lot of thought goes into the use and décor of the house which us as visitors look forward to exploring and enjoying once the present restrictions improve.
Thank you for your kind words and review. It is a pleasure for us to care for your son, and he has very quickly become part of the 'Pembroke family'.
My father recently enjoyed a week's stay at Pembroke House. It was his first experience of respite care. He was made to feel very welcome, settled in easily, gave the meals and staff 10/10 and advised me that he would like to stay again in the future. Thank you to all the staff who made his stay so relaxed enjoyable.
Thank you for your kind words and review. We loved having your father stay with us, and look forward to welcoming him back in the future.
Pembroke House is fabulous. The staff are amazing and have become like family to my parents, both of whom have been in residence for the past 18 months. The facilities are superb, all very stylish and well kept. My mother is on the dementia floor and receives superb care. My father is in a lovely residential apartment with all of the support he needs. The restaurant and menus are great and the team make such an effort with activities which have of course been more limited due to the pandemic. They have truly been amazing during Covid and have followed best practice to keep my parents safe. I would not hesitate to recommend Pembroke House to anyone requiring care, we are so glad we chose this care home and are truly grateful to the amazing Pembroke team for all of the high-quality care they provide.
Thank you Andrea for your lovely review and kind words. It is a pleasure for us to care for your parents, who certainly have become part of our family here at Pembroke.
Pembroke House is an excellent care home. All of the staff are friendly and helpful at all times. My aunt has been a resident for over 3 years, during this time she has outstanding care to meet her changing needs. Residents are offered interesting activities and visits when restrictions allow. Pembroke house does not employ temporary staff meaning that the staff are all familiar with residents needs and residents and family members know the staff. This makes a big difference. The home is very well presented, friendly and always clean. I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Thank you for your review and kind words, Mark. As you say, your aunt has been a resident with us for a long time and is loved by our care team, and is very much a part of the Pembroke family.
All the nursing staff are first-class. I am happy here and pleased with my treatment.
Thank you for your review and kind words. We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and are delighted to hear your feedback.
This care home provides very well; the facilities I was looking for to enable me to share an apartment happily with my wife who has vascular dementia.
I really enjoy living here.
Thank you for your review and kind words. We are delighted that you chose Pembroke House for your home, and have settled in and made new friends.
