Offering residents high quality care and support, Claridge Place boasts a number of spacious and private suites, some with kitchenette and lounge, as well as stylish lounges and dining spaces set over three expansive floors. My mother spent four weeks in Claridge Place for respite care. From the first meeting with management we felt reassured that mom would have excellent care - we weren't disappointed every member of staff has shown care & compassion, eleviating any worries and concerns on our part. We highly recommend
Claridge Place, it's excellent staff and facilities and won't hesitate to return, should the need arise!

Everything is really good, mom had only been here a week. I did have a couple of niggles, but after speaking with management everything has been addressed very quickly. Mom is struggling to get used to the new home, but all staff are really helping mom settle in. Mom is also much better at night, sleeping
through a bit more than she used to.

I accompanied my wife and sister-in-law to a meeting with the assistant manager, which was to get an update as to how their Mother was coping and how family and staff perceptions compared. They assured us that all was well and gave us some very helpful and sensible advice as to how to interact with
Mom in the future. We were all very happy and comforted by what he had to say, so thanks.

I am very pleased with the care provided for my Mum at Claridge Place. The staff are caring and spend time getting to know Mum's care needs and wishes.
The staff always speaks to Mum, asking questions about what she wants and spending time for her to answer.
The activity coordinators provide a wide
range of activities and always ensure Mum is invited to join.
When I visit I am made to feel welcome by all the staff. Nothing is too much bother. The reception staff who always book the time dinning. I would recommend Claridge Place.

The welcome and kindness is excellent. Small touches I.E. (flowers, cards, choc) mean a lot. The staff here are amazing, and so caring. The rooms and social areas are immaculate. The food is excellent.

My father-in-law sadly lost his wife in 2023 so was unable to care for himself. Claridge Place is his local care home. He has settled in very well. The staff are very caring and efficient and always greet you with a smile. The family are very pleased with his care. Thank you.

Excellent care/residential home.
Mum is content in the caring environment. The staff do everything they can to include Mum in activities, which she does some of the time.
Her room is lovely, airy, and kept clean and tidy, can't think of anywhere else I would want her to be.

My nan has been here for a week and the difference in her is amazing. It's like she is a new person, she appears happier in herself and healthier. She is very content and doesn't have a bad word to say about any aspect of the home, neither do I or any members of the family.

As a family - we have been extremely pleased with the care and service that Mum has received in her first 2 months at Claridge Place. There is obvious trepidation from the outset when first placing a precious relative in a care home but all of the team at Claridge's are professional and they know what
they are doing and know how to look after an individual's needs.
Mum has settled therefore and we believe is very comfortable in this setting on that basis - we have no plans to move her due to the excellent care she is receiving.

It's been a godsend to find this care home. We feel she has settled in very well. She's started to smile and laugh again. Staff are very attentive and meet all her needs. All medication is taken care of. Accommodation is like a hotel. Claridge Place is the place.

The staff show kindness and care to all the residents. Everyone knew my mum's name and made her feel loved. She was in there for respite care following a knee operation and the staff were encouraging and helpful which aided her recovery. It's a beautiful clean setting and nothing is too much trouble.
Hairdressers and beauticians a great extra service which mum loved.

James Morris

James joined Claridge Place in January 2022 as Senior General Manager.


James has over 25 years of experience in care home management, having held positions as Home Manager, General Manager, Regional Manager, and District Manager, but has a total of 32years in the care and nursing sector.


James has led homes that have achieved CQC ratings of 'outstanding' as well as managing care homes through changes from Requires Improvement to Good and again OUTSTANDING.

Dale joins Claridge Place as Deputy Manager having worked in care for 16 years.


Dale had four and a half years of experience as a Deputy Manager before joining Claridge Place in February 2022.

Meet our wellbeing team. Ruby to the left and Michelle to the right. Both Ruby and Michelle have years of experience in the wellbeing role and work hard to ensure our residents' social needs are being met. From weekly bingo sessions, trips out, crafts and parties, these ladies always have a fun time planned. We offer group activities in the morning and afternoon as well as ensuring we have quality one-to-one time with our residents.
