I always speak to the staff when I visit and they have also said that the new manager is already supporting them and listening which is great. The staff have been unhappy over recent months but this seems to be changing now which is great - well done to the new manager!

All the staff are very caring and professional as well as the management who are always on hand if you need them. Mom is treated with respect and dignity and is encouraged to participate in activities.

The atmosphere is considerably better and the staff are much happier and very noticeable for both the residents and the visitors.

The new top management team are currently working to raise the variety and standards of activities having asked residents what they would like.

My mother moved into Claridge Place 4 weeks ago. I am extremely impressed with everything about this amazing care home. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are wonderful and they care for my mum so well. She did not want to leave her own home (but was unable to manage on her own) but is very happy here. We are so pleased that she has settled in here so quickly and feel very fortunate that we have been able to get her in here. I have nothing but praise for everything about Claridge Place.

The care cannot be faulted, the staff are amazing, very committed and understanding of my Mum's needs, especially as she is partially sighted and very hard of hearing. I would highly recommend Claridge Place to anyone who has any doubts about a care home for their elderly loved ones.

The staff have been very kind and efficient. Have enjoyed my stay, even though there was a mess up with the room on arrival.

Would like to thank all the staff at Claridge Place for the wonderful care they gave my aunt, my cousin and I were welcomed to spend the last 24 hours of her life with her and got to see the wonderful care that was given not only to her but also to us. She had been in and out of hospital for 3 weeks but was allowed back to the home knowing she only had hours left and got the best possible treatment one could wish for, so once again a big thank you for looking after us at this sad time.

My husband has been at this home for a while and unfortunately, as time went on the care standards started to decline. Not having a shower, not having a shave, personal care not been done in the mornings, skin breaking down. Even though there are only a few residents in there, things are not well. A lot of the residents are bored, nothing to do, not encouraged to come out of their rooms. Had to go in to do my husband's personal care morning and night as I put a camera in and found my husband was not being looked after correctly. It’s a beautiful home but care comes first before chandeliers and furnishings. It is not run like a care home. I think this home definitely needs a CQC visit as soon as possible. Things were reported in the early days but nothing was done. I would not recommend this home. I have now had to put my husband in emergency respite care until the new home that we have found, which has a fantastic reputation is open on the 1st of June. I hope people take notice of this information.

I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful care home in the area with the best of care.

Following a fall in early December, my mother-in-law took up a respite residence at Claridge's. The whole family were amazed at how quickly and efficiently we were able to get her into such a lovely place. Her room is wonderful, she loves the food and company, and is enjoying the entertainment and engagement in activities on offer. We are so impressed with the little details that they have got so right, and the interest they have shown in making sure that she is settled, comfortable and happy as soon as possible. Obviously, during the lockdown, contact has been limited, and we have not been able to see all the facilities for ourselves, but we do know that my mother-in-law is looking happy, relaxed and free from the stress of single living.

What to say about this home? I say the decor is very tasteful and food excellent for mass cooking. Talking to some of the residents they have expressed a wish for more entertainment after the evening meal as talking to people would be of benefit to all. Bingo seems to go down well so perhaps asking them what they would like to do and providing you have the staff. The staff are very attentive but maybe more staff are needed.

She was very well looked after and she enjoyed her stay. She said the food was really good and the staff were both friendly and attentive. The quality of the accommodation is 5* and we recommend Claridge Place to anyone thinking of either respite or long term care.

Claridge Place is run by the manager who is the nicest lady you could ever meet. To me, a good home is always run by good management and this shines through.

I would just like to say a great big thank you for all the love and care you gave to my Mom during her stay at Claridge Place. The Manager is a lovely caring lady, the staff gave Mom so much love and care that Mom has never had before. Nothing was too much for the staff. Mom was treated as if she was part of one big family. As a family, we made the hard decision that Mum, who has vascular dementia, sadly needed professional 24/7 care. After an incredibly traumatic experience of her escaping from a local care home and them refusing to support Mum and us as a family with her illness, we were at our wit's end. We found Claridge Place and are thrilled we did. Mum is treated with dignity and respect and the staff are amazing. They continue to bring out Mum's amazing personality that this awful disease is trying to extinguish. Every single member of staff shows her warmth and support. They all work as a team to make this heartbreaking period of our lives so much easier to deal with. We are welcomed every time we visit and when I see Mum there, I know this is the very best place she can be to enhance her standard of living. My dad, my sister and I feel so grateful to have found Claridge Place.

Having visited a number of care homes over the years, Claridge Place is by far the best I have visited. The place itself is an absolute delight providing a modern and homely feel. The staff are amazing, super friendly, kind and caring towards the residence. I left with peace of mind knowing my nan is in safe hands surrounded by friendly staff. I would like to thank all the staff for looking after my nan and for making us feel so welcome.
