Wonderful, modern accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Spacious rooms. The staff are friendly, polite and always welcoming. Plenty of activities for residents to do. Rooms are available if you want a quiet place when visiting residents.

Claridge Place is an absolute fabulous care home. All the staff are amazing with the residents and have created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. As the manager previously looked after my father, I knew who to call when my mom needed care. There are so many excellent staff, and I’m looking forward to
getting to know all the other amazing staff. Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome every time we come to see Mum.

My mother lives at Claridge Place Care Home and has always been happy there. The environment is beautiful and very warm and spacious.
My mother has her own room which is lovely and always kept clean and tidy.
The manager of the home has recently changed and my mother is over the moon with the new
manager and she has told me 'he pops in every morning to wish me a good morning and he pops in throughout the day to see if I am alright'. This is so lovely to hear as this did not happen previously.
I have visited the home today to see my mother and the home feels very different. The residents are all happy with the things that the new manager has put in place already and I believe he has only been there for one week.
I always speak to the staff when I visit and they have also said that the new manager is already supporting them and listening which is great. The staff have been unhappy over recent months but this seems to be changing now which is great - well done to the new manager!

All the staff are very caring and professional as well as the management who are always on hand if you need them. Mom is treated with respect and dignity and is encouraged to participate in activities.

Claridge Place Care Home has improved considerably since the arrival of the senior general manager.
The atmosphere is considerably better and the staff are much happier and very noticeable for both the residents and the visitors.

The staff are excellent, friendly, caring and helpful.
The environment is beautiful and very clean including resident rooms and public areas. All elegantly furnished, bright and non institutional.
My sister in law enjoys the food very much and is relaxed and secure.
The new top management team are
currently working to raise the variety and standards of activities having asked residents what they would like.

My mother stayed for two weeks respite and I cannot fault Claridge Place Care Home, the decor and facilities are that of a cruise ship but more importantly, the staff were so genuine and made my mom's stay so happy and I had every confidence that she was safe and cared for whilst me and my husband had
our own break away.

My mother moved into Claridge Place 4 weeks ago. I am extremely impressed with everything about this amazing care home. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are wonderful and they care for my mum so well. She did not want to leave her own home (but was unable to manage on her own) but is very happy here.
We are so pleased that she has settled in here so quickly and feel very fortunate that we have been able to get her in here. I have nothing but praise for everything about Claridge Place.

Would like to thank all the staff at Claridge Place for the wonderful care they gave my aunt, my cousin and I were welcomed to spend the last 24 hours of her life with her and got to see the wonderful care that was given not only to her but also to us. She had been in and out of hospital for 3 weeks
but was allowed back to the home knowing she only had hours left and got the best possible treatment one could wish for, so once again a big thank you for looking after us at this sad time.

My husband has been at this home for a while and unfortunately, as time went on the care standards started to decline. Not having a shower, not having a shave, personal care not been done in the mornings, skin breaking down. Even though there are only a few residents in there, things are not well. A
lot of the residents are bored, nothing to do, not encouraged to come out of their rooms. Had to go in to do my husband's personal care morning and night as I put a camera in and found my husband was not being looked after correctly. It’s a beautiful home but care comes first before chandeliers and furnishings. It is not run like a care home. I think this home definitely needs a CQC visit as soon as possible. Things were reported in the early days but nothing was done. I would not recommend this home. I have now had to put my husband in emergency respite care until the new home that we have found, which has a fantastic reputation is open on the 1st of June. I hope people take notice of this information.

My 88-year-old mother was taken from the hospital directly to Claridge Place in January 2021. She had a fractured shoulder and her mental health was deteriorating.
Claridge Place is a wonderful establishment with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The decor and furnishings are beautiful, with wide airy
corridors. It is truly an oasis in the middle of suburbia.
Of course, the secret to this place is the staff. I was overwhelmed by the care and dignity they afforded my mum as she was in the last days of her life. They not only looked after her and her every need, but they were so kind to my brother and I.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful care home in the area with the best of care.

Following a fall in early December, my mother-in-law took up a respite residence at Claridge's. The whole family were amazed at how quickly and efficiently we were able to get her into such a lovely place. Her room is wonderful, she loves the food and company, and is enjoying the entertainment and engagement
in activities on offer. We are so impressed with the little details that they have got so right, and the interest they have shown in making sure that she is settled, comfortable and happy as soon as possible. Obviously, during the lockdown, contact has been limited, and we have not been able to see all the facilities for ourselves, but we do know that my mother-in-law is looking happy, relaxed and free from the stress of single living.

What to say about this home? I say the decor is very tasteful and food excellent for mass cooking. Talking to some of the residents they have expressed a wish for more entertainment after the evening meal as talking to people would be of benefit to all. Bingo seems to go down well so perhaps asking
them what they would like to do and providing you have the staff. The staff are very attentive but maybe more staff are needed.

My mother-in-law stayed here for respite care following a hip operation. We chose Claridge Place due to the wonderful experience we had for my father-in-law, who had stayed at Claridge for Dementia care. This home is so caring, loving and well managed.
She was very well looked after and she enjoyed
her stay. She said the food was really good and the staff were both friendly and attentive. The quality of the accommodation is 5* and we recommend Claridge Place to anyone thinking of either respite or long term care.

My mum has had a hip replacement and came to Claridge Place without a second thought. My father lived at Claridge Place for 10 months last year and had the most outstanding care, love and respect he could have ever asked for.
The care for my mum again is outstanding. The staff are amazing.

Place is run by the manager who is the nicest lady you could ever meet. To me, a good home is always run by good management and this shines through.

James joined Claridge Place in January 2022 as Senior General Manager.


James has over 25 years of experience in care home management, having held positions as Home Manager, General Manager, Regional Manager, and District Manager, but has a total of 32years in the care and nursing sector.


James has led homes that have achieved CQC ratings of 'outstanding' as well as managing care homes through changes from Requires Improvement to Good and again OUTSTANDING.

Meet our wellbeing team. Ruby to the left and Michelle to the right. From weekly bingo sessions, trips out, crafts and parties, these ladies always have a fun time planned. We offer group activities in the morning and afternoon as well as ensuring we have quality one-to-one time with our residents.
