Gracewell of Knowle Gate is a brand new and purpose built residence. From the first time you step into this beautiful home and meet the staff you know that it's going to be very special, and it is. The staff are exceptional and the residents receive excellent care, support and stimulation. The resident's rooms are luxuriously and comfortably furnished and have impressive features. Dining is a delight, a choice of food and drinks options, with linen napkins, table decorations and daily menus. Residents have a full-time programme of wide-ranging activities, films in the cinema room and sky sports in the lounges, not forgetting the hair salon, nail bar and the bistro, for coffee or tea at any time. The gardens and grounds have been carefully planned to include plentiful benches and a gazebo all in a very secure environment. On the first and second floors, there are outdoor balconies. It's a truly lovely place for my father to live safely and happily.

Overall Experience
My friend went to Gracewell originally for respite. He wasn't managing at home despite there being a package of care in place. My friend has always been reluctant to accept that home may not necessary be the best place for him and didn't want to accept care.
He received a very warm welcome from all the staff, who have continued to ensure his dignity and independence are maintained throughout. The staff are kind and empathetic, encouraging my friend to take part in activities and mix with the other residents whilst still allowing him his privacy.

The events coordinator is brilliant and there is something most days for the residents to take part in. The environment is lovely and is always spotlessly clean. The rooms are large and spacious. The home is very well led and the manager is visible and available should she be needed. I'm delighted that my friend has decided to stay at Gracewell, It really is a lovely place.

Dad has been at Gracewell for three weeks now and we're delighted with the care and support we've received as a family. The staff, make every effort with every resident to ensure they are safe, comfortable and happy. Dad is very mobile and everyone goes out of their way to make sure he goes for a walk when he wants. The nursing care is excellent. The management team are first class providing a happy environment for residents and their families. This is the way care for the elderly should be.

Since moving to Knowle Gate from Gracewell in Edgbaston. She has been provided with excellent care and attention. Constant activities are provided throughout the week for her to join in with. She now seems happier as she is constantly talking to different people and interacting. My only concern is the food, which is fancy, cold and not very appetising. My mum and others would prefer good wholesome good, traditional meals, which is hot and looks appetising.
