Heathfield Court is exceptional. I can't recommend it highly enough.
The ethos of the place is clear from the moment you arrive and witness the smiles on the residents' faces.
Nothing is put on for show here. Day or night, you'll see the same friendly welcome and professionalism on display.
The entire team follows the Manager's lead with a nothing-is too-much-trouble attitude. They treat every resident with dignity and get to know them and their families well. It's definitely not "one size fits all", with things tailored to each resident.
I now enjoy visiting as a daughter rather than a care-giver. I am kept informed and can relax, confident that all my Dad's needs are being met. Beyond that, it's somewhere he's encouraged to enjoy life with stimulating activities every day.

If you are agonising over the heartbreaking decision of needing to move a loved one into residential care then choose here. They'll put a protective arm around your loved one and a comforting arm around you too.

The staff have made mum feel welcome.

I have peace of mind that mum is being looked after 24-7 and is safe.

All the staff at Heathfield are friendly and welcoming.

The home is always kept clean both in the rooms and common areas.

The food/drink is varied and plentiful. I'm always offered some when visiting mum which is a nice gesture.

I thought that my mother's previous care home was good, but after my mother came to Heathfield Court, they were below standard by comparison. The staff at Heathfield Court are outstanding, and the care and consideration given is of the highest standard. The cleanliness of the home is first class. Every member of staff seems to work upon the residence as if they were part of their own family. I cannot recommend Heathfield Court highly enough. I am more than happy with the care and attention my mother is receiving.

The facilities, but above all, the care is excellent (this is what is really important). The home has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the staff adapt their approach to the needs of the individual resident. The home is one which feels safe and you know your family member will be well cared for with their individual likes and dislikes taken into account.

My dad moved to Heathfield Court Care Home at the end of August 2024 and it was the best decision I made for him. My dad settled in straight away and has been very happy ever since. The rooms are spacious with ensuites, the meals served are perfect. The staff are compassionate, the garden area is beautiful and there are lots of activities each week to keep all residents content.
Not only have they made my dad feel welcome, but every member of staff including the manager make me and my own little family feel as though we are part of the Heathfield family. There have been numerous events held since August with amazing entertainment. The support received personally on my dad's arrival will always stay with me. The whole team are so understanding and nothing is a problem.

I would compare Heathfield Court to a luxury hotel and have said on multiple occasions that I would happily move in. If you are looking for a care home for your loved one, this is definitely the one to choose!

The care received by my mother-in-law and sister (who also resides at Heathfield Court Care Home) is excellent. The staff are kind and helpful and if you have any concerns these will be dealt with quickly. Because my sister was receiving such good care my Mother-in-Law chose Heathfield Care Home to move in to.

Mum has been at Heathfield Court Care Home for 2 years now and has never been unhappy or asked if she could go home. The staff are all so hard working under conditions at times that can be very difficult, all of which they do with patience and with a smile. Mum's room is always clean and tidy and the girls take such good care in keeping it that way. The staff always make a fuss of mum and she loves that. She always enjoys joining in with the activities and there is always something going on to keep them stimulated which is great. The trips that they are taken on are always enjoyed and the entertainment is something they all love and it is so nice to see them all singing and dancing.

My dad moved into Heathfield Court Care Home in November 2024, and he has been happy and settled ever since. He lives on the dementia floor, where the staff genuinely understand the symptoms of dementia and the specific needs of the residents. I always feel included and well-informed about his care, with regular updates from the staff.
Heathfield has a warm, homely atmosphere, with plenty of small lounges where I can sit with my dad, making it feel like we're at home. We were also able to spend Christmas Day with him, which was such a lovely experience. It meant my dad didn't have to leave his familiar environment and travel to ours, helping him stay calm and settled.

Heathfield is very family focused, and this is clearly evident during their social events, which are always packed with residents and their families. I usually have lunch with my dad once or twice a week, and the management team is always welcoming and supportive.

Mum has been a resident since May 2023. Thanks to the alert professionalism of all of the staff mum is safe, well looked after, healthy and content. The in-house hairdressers are gentle, caring with cutting and curling Mum's hair. The variety of entertainment and weekly programs are very stimulating for residents and heartfelt for families. Immaculate housekeeping and deliciously planned culinary menus. I feel comfortable visiting mum and have enjoyed seeing the love and friendships mum has in her new life. I acknowledge mums decline and realise mum no longer knows or recognises me as her daughter, but it's ok as I now accept and realise the staff are now mums family and the residents are mums companions. Finally the in house training I attended has helped me considerably.

Mum is so happy at Heathfield Court Came Home. She loves the staff and has so many friends amongst the residents. She enjoys getting involved in activities. Cannot thank the manager and the team enough for everything they do.

They really go the extra mile and mum was given her wish to attend her grandson's Christmas wedding when a member of staff brought and accompanied her. A dream come true.

My mum moved to Heathfield in April 2024. She has been very content since living there and seems happy and appropriately fulfilled. There are enough activities and interactions to keep her stimulated. She always looks clean, appropriately dressed and nicely styled hair. The staff all seem friendly and caring. The environment is clean and well maintained. The garden and patio areas are excellent and big enough size to accommodate all residents and their visitors.

I had viewed many nursing homes for my brother but the manager at Heathfield Court was the only person who actually asked me about my brother on my first visit. I was made very welcome and didn't feel rushed at all. I knew from the beginning that this was the home for my brother.
I will explain a little more about my brother. He is a 65-year-old gentleman with a learning disability. I had to find a nursing home for him due to the fact that he was placed in a residential home for only 3 weeks and due to neglect, he developed a pressure sore and was admitted into hospital for 4 months with osteomyelitis, (infection to the bones) he currently still has the pressure sore but thankfully, now he is in Heathfield Court, I cannot fault the care that he receives.
All the staff treat each resident with the utmost care, respect and dignity.
This is an outstanding home!

Thank you to the manager and the whole team for your wonderful care.

Placing Nan in a home was incredibly difficult, given Nan's wish to remain at her home.
However, Heathfield's staff transformed a challenging situation into one of comfort and dignity. From arrival, the warm and welcoming atmosphere was evident. The team's respect and empathy exceeded our expectations. Nan often spoke of how comfortable and well cared for she felt.
The staff's dedication to high-quality, compassionate care is truly commendable. We are particularly grateful for the personal touches and genuine concern shown by the nurses/caregivers. Their patience, attention to detail, and commitment never went unnoticed. The dignity and respect she received helped her feel safe and valued.

We also deeply appreciate how the team supported our family with regular check-ins and thoughtful enquiries about our well-being. The attentiveness/consideration exemplifies the compassionate care that defines Heathfield. It has left a lasting impact on us, we will always remember the kindness/support provided.

After Mum's stroke in March, we decided as a family to put Mum into residential repsite. I found Heathfield Court and heard the glowing reviews. After a visit, we decided instantly that this was the place for Mum. We couldn't be happier with our decision, the staff, rooms, gardens and atmosphere are homely and welcoming. The manager and her team have made us feel like a part of the family and we couldn't be more grateful for the love and care they give to my mother.

Mum has been cared for very well. In fact, she looked better than for ages, and as a family that makes us very happy, as it is always a difficult decision to choose a care home, although we call it Heathfield rather than a care home. Just feels better. The staff are excellent, activities really good. To summarise would say Heathfield has helped ever so much, for both Mum and us.

The service, atmosphere and feel of Heathfield is different to any other care home I have visited.
The staff are so welcoming and they really engage with the residents, as well as providing fantastic tailored care.
When I first visited Heathfield the member of staff showing me around knew each and every resident and was clearly well-liked. The home is spotlessly clean and with lovely decor, and the garden area is amazing.
My dad has vascular dementia and has not been at Heathfield for very long, but already I can see how much happier he is, and he tells me about his lovely room and the entertainment there.

Heathfield is a place you want to visit to see your loved one, where the residents have a real quality of life. I couldn't be happier that Dad is a resident there and I know he is very receiving the best care.

My nan came to Heathfield as she had many months of very poor health. Since being here, she has absolutely blossomed. She is happy, makes a conscious effort with how she looks/dresses, loves the staff, and the dogs and has made great companions with other residents. She is like a brand new version of her old self. The home is lovely! Many activities for residents daily and trips out of the home.

The care home manager goes above and beyond to keep the residents of Heathfield informed, looked after and most importantly happy. Members of staff always check in on my nan, engage with her and put a smile on her face and ensure her caring needs are always met. The best decision made was for my Nan to become a permanent resident at Heathfield. I can’t praise the staff enough. Thank you for helping bring my nan back to her much happier self.

I feel blessed that we have found an amazing home for Mother. Prior to this, we were fraught with worry and anxiety both with her living at home on her home and the limited help that we could provide and the thought of finally having to make what is an enormous decision for mother. Naturally, we had concerns as this was all very new to us (myself, my wife and my siblings), however, the manager provided the reassurance that we sought and we were pleased that Heathfield seemed like the place that Mother would thrive in.
She has thrived and she has been now involved in many activities that she would never have ordinarily participated in. We can sleep easy at night in the knowledge that all of her care needs are being taken care of.
A huge thank you to all of the staff at Heathfield. We genuinely think that there is care, compassion and consciousness around residents. We witness the little things 'off camera' like comforting residents with words and gentle hand soothing.

Well done!

Nikki Martin
Nikki MartinJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2023

Nikki began her inspirational career in care back in 1988 and joined Heathfield Court as a senior carer in 2018, a year after we opened. Showing a natural flair for person-centred care, Nikki’s talent was quickly recognised, as she progressed to a team leader, then later head of care.

Nikki’s dedication, passion and unwavering ability to bring joy to others, shone through year after year, and it wasn’t long before she took on the role of deputy manager. She even chose to move into Heathfield Court during the early days of the pandemic, to provide care and reassurance to our residents and wider team.

A graduate of our Management Academy, Nikki excelled in our training programme for aspiring leaders in 2021. Throughout this time, she was personally mentored by Carebase business manager and former home manager Gina Kitchenham. Nikki became Heathfield Court’s registered home manager in 2023.

Nikki shares that: “The best part of my job is making the residents laugh and providing them with the best possible experiences in the later part of their life. That’s what makes me happy.”

When she isn’t with her Heathfield family, Nikki likes to spend time with her husband Pat and grandchildren, Khloe, 13, and Finley, 6, as well as enjoying time with her son, Thomas, and daughter Stacey – who also works at Heathfield as our receptionist!
