I will always be grateful to the manager, for her patience and support when I was arranging care for Mum. She is exceptional in every way.

Every member of staff 'bent over backwards' to make Mum feel at home and supported me incredibly well too. I will never forget any of them.

The manager and all the staff are brilliant. Whenever I visit they are all very welcoming and the atmosphere at Heathfield Court is always very relaxed and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very settled and happy there. They look after her very well and keep us well informed. A big thank you to the manager and her team.

My dad became a resident in December 2023. He is so happy and has told me he feels cared for at Heathfield. Dad regularly takes part in activities, something he never had before. I couldn’t wish for a better place for Dad to continue his dementia journey.

The manager and team are amazing. They are extremely helpful and friendly and always with a smile on their faces.
The facilities and décor are excellent - it doesn't look or feel like you would expect a care home to look, it's more like a hotel.
The food is lovely and plenty of it.

There are loads of activities for residents every day and also outings out.

My mother has been at Heathfield Court for almost a year. During this time she has received excellent care from all of the staff, who are very attentive towards her and the family. She is well fed, hydrated and all her needs are met. They have encouraged her to take part in activities, both in the home and on external trips. The staff are very good at communicating with the family on all aspects of her care and keeping us informed of planned activities on a weekly basis. Thank you for everything you all do for my mother.

A really friendly, upbeat and warm care home. The staff are wonderful, seem happy at work there and the manager is exceptional. She goes above and beyond to make sure residents have the best possible experience and family are supported too. The decor is really homely with lots of private lounge areas for families to spend time together. My mum smiles more now than she did at home and the minibus outings are a bonus. So pleased we found Heathfield.

We were very reluctant with making the decision to put my mother-in-law into a care home and had tried to keep her in her own home for as long as possible, but after her last fall and a lengthy time in hospital, there were no other options.

We looked at several homes in and out of the area and Heathfield’s was by far our first choice so we were over the moon when a vacancy became available. This is the very best decision we made. The home and all of the staff are warm, caring and friendly. The entertainment, days out and daily activities have transformed my mother-in-law, we all know she is well cared for, all of her needs are met and she is very happy and comfortable. We really couldn’t ask for anything more than that.

Although I would much rather be at home in my experience of care homes this is the best one I have been in. If anything the rooms could be a bit larger so that you can bring some furniture to make a new home. The garden is very good, large and well looked after. The ground floor rooms have a small outside patio area. Most of the staff seem to be content with their lot and have a good sense of humour. The food is acceptable whilst not being fine dining although there is a fine dining room which can be booked.

Everyone is very caring and supportive to both my mother and her family. No question is ever left unanswered and they are always happy to help, chat or just listen.

My mum has been at Heathfield for a couple of years and during this time she has moved from the ground floor to the middle floor and needs more help with her basic needs. Staff are always there to help with the smallest of tasks.

I've always found the staff approachable and helpful. There was lots of fun and laughter and the residents kept busy with activities and entertainment. It is lovely being able to follow the goings on through social media. As a family, we were always made to feel welcome. One criticism would be there are always too many delicious cakes being offered! Thank you to Heathfield, you are stars.

My mother has been at Heathfield’s for over four years now. Mum has dementia and various other health issues which have all progressed this year, requiring more medical attention and nursing care. In all those years the home has provided excellent care and this year has been no exception. In particular this year the manager and the nurses have excelled as Mum has needed more and more of their time. I have no hesitation in recommending Heathfield’s.

My mum has been with Heathfields for a year now she was very worried and nervous when she first went in but the care she’s received has made her feel more confident and happy. The staff are brilliant they know she likes to talk and they make sure she sits down with one of them for a chat a few times a day. The home is immaculate and Mum always looks smart with fresh clothes and their hairdresser constantly keeps her hair looking lovely. She enjoys trips out on the minibus and spending time in their lovely garden.

The love and care all the staff provided for my dad after a bad fall last year, pushing to get him home from the hospital, and getting the correct equipment for him was just amazing. He pulled through thanks to their 24-hour monitoring and I will be eternally grateful to them. The staff go above and beyond their duty. He is in the best place.

The home is decorated to a high standard and looks homely. Residents are treated as individuals and the atmosphere is positive. Staff are always ready with a smile and a greeting. Management are very accessible and take on board suggestions that are given. It is more than just a job for them, they show that they are really interested in providing a high standard of care

Mum has been a resident for almost six years and I am therefore running out of original good things to say about Heathfield Court where the care is second to none.
Mum has recently been a little unwell and I was able to talk to a member of staff whenever I needed reassurance about her condition.
Mum is no longer able to communicate but we know that she is so well looked after and the amazing staff can still get a smile sometimes. We are so pleased to know that she responds to the kindness and affection that the staff have for the residents.
I am always amazed by the range of activities that are provided for those able to join in. I used to teach young children and some of the arts and crafts activities and materials provided are incredible and so effective. I wish I had thought of them in the classroom!

We always receive a warm welcome every time we walk into Heathfield Court and all the staff genuinely care. Thank you is never enough. There cannot be a better Care Home anywhere!

Nikki Martin
Nikki MartinJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2023

Nikki began her inspirational career in care back in 1988 and joined Heathfield Court as a senior carer in 2018, a year after we opened. Showing a natural flair for person-centred care, Nikki’s talent was quickly recognised, as she progressed to a team leader, then later head of care.

Nikki’s dedication, passion and unwavering ability to bring joy to others, shone through year after year, and it wasn’t long before she took on the role of deputy manager. She even chose to move into Heathfield Court during the early days of the pandemic, to provide care and reassurance to our residents and wider team.

A graduate of our Management Academy, Nikki excelled in our training programme for aspiring leaders in 2021. Throughout this time, she was personally mentored by Carebase business manager and former home manager Gina Kitchenham. Nikki became Heathfield Court’s registered home manager in 2023.

Nikki shares that: “The best part of my job is making the residents laugh and providing them with the best possible experiences in the later part of their life. That’s what makes me happy.”

When she isn’t with her Heathfield family, Nikki likes to spend time with her husband Pat and grandchildren, Khloe, 13, and Finley, 6, as well as enjoying time with her son, Thomas, and daughter Stacey – who also works at Heathfield as our receptionist!
