We have nothing but praise for the home and its staff. During this difficult time, it has been such a relief to know that my mother-in-law is receiving the best possible care. We really appreciate the considerate and individual way that staff looked after her, particularly at this awful time. Despite
missing her family she is clearly very fond of the staff and always tells us how good they are and how hard they work. We also appreciate the regular feedback and good communication with the family.

Always caring and welcoming staff and atmosphere. Can't thank you enough for helping to arrange a surprise 90th birthday visit to mum. She is still buzzing and everyone there was so helpful and pleased for her too. The care and support throughout the last year has been a huge relief to us and support

WOW. I have just visited my Aunty for the first time since March 2020 due to Covid-19 and I was instantly overcome with emotion. I was bracing myself for her looking different, older perhaps, a year can make so much difference at an older age, and I was worried she may have deteriorated further (she
sadly has Dementia) but oh my goodness.... she looks amazing, was so happy and chatty (in her own way) I could not believe how brilliant she looked! The staff at Fleming Court can only be described as angels. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for taking such good care of my Aunty during such difficult times when you will have all been frightened, worried, exhausted, and apart from your own families. I am blown away. As usual, the home itself is immaculate, smells gorgeous, looks amazing and the measures in place for a safe one designated visitor were top class. I just can not express my family's gratitude to you enough - thank you all!

The manager and staff are warm, friendly and helpful. As well as welcoming my mum into the home, they have made me feel like part of the family too and I know that I can pick up the phone at any time if I have any questions. During this very difficult period, the staff have worked hard to keep my mum
safe but have also found the time to keep her stimulated and are constantly finding new ways to make the lives of the residents happy and fulfilling. The home itself has a very cosy feeling despite looking like a 5-star hotel! I am pleased with the start that my mum has made in her new home at Fleming Court.

The team at Fleming Court are exceptional and with their support, I have been able to undergo treatment that I was initially finding very difficult to tolerate. My stay here, therefore, has been lifechanging. The care, kindness and help I have received here has been nothing short of wonderful. The team
are hugely kind and very helpful. Every individual need is carefully catered for. The home has also been Covid free too, which is again exceptional and a testament to how careful all the team has been. This is without question a safe, very kind and supportive environment. It’s also a happy, warm and caring place to be. I can’t thank everyone enough. I couldn’t recommend Fleming Court strongly enough to anyone needing support or help.

Would just like to say a huge "thank you" to the dedicated, caring and most wonderful staff who have kept Fleming Court running throughout these unprecedented times.
For 24 hours a day, 7 days a week your incredible teams of highly skilled staff have provided care under the most challenging of circumstances.

have continued to do so with care and compassion - providing a true lifeline for our most vulnerable.
You are true hidden heroes at Fleming Court who have cared for our loved ones in our time of need and I, for one, can't thank them enough. You are truly inspirational. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I would just like to thank everyone at Fleming Court for looking after my mother so well since she arrived there in mid-March. It has been difficult on both sides because of lockdown but I really appreciate all the efforts to keep the residents safe at this difficult time and wouldn’t have it any other
way. And the Zoom chats are a great help and reassurance. It must have been (and continues to be) a really tough few months for the staff - you have all been amazing and I have been clapping for you every Thursday! And still, you have been organising talent competitions, VE Day celebrations, entertainers and treasure hunts, etc. in the gardens. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Fleming Court is a lovely building in a beautiful location. I have found the staff to be most pleasant and obliging on each occasion I have visited my mother over the past 18 months. Caring for lots of vulnerable people, with all the quirks of great age and needs can never be easy but the staff all

The fact that the home has avoided the Coronavirus is testament to the dedication and vigilance of the entire staff.

I am so missing my little visits to Fleming Care Home to visit my 91-year-old Dad who has well-established dementia. Although he no longer recognised me he still knows my voice and I love taking him down to the lounge area to play a duet on the grand piano. The manager and all the staff make my visits
a pleasure as they create such a lovely atmosphere and sometimes the other residents start dancing when we play, which I just love! I feel so lucky that he has a place there and it is great peace of mind to me as I don’t live nearby.

Your expertise and knowledge of the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic was reflected in the fact that Fleming Court went into lockdown on 12th March. This, to your credit, has meant all staff and residents have remained safe and well.
I have missed my more regular visits to see my mum but have
really appreciated your support and understanding when I have felt helpless and low at times. The fact that you made it possible for me to visit my mum, albeit her in your lovely gardens and me at the other side of the fence, 'social distance' appropriate, has been extremely helpful, thoughtful and kind.
I can't thank you enough for all you've done and look forward to seeing you all on a more personal basis when this is all over.

I have always found the staff very caring, helpful and kind when caring for my mum. They treat my mum with dignity when looking after her and this gives me peace of mind. When I visit I am offered a cup of tea, which is always welcomed.

My mam found her stay a pleasant one and that the staff were very kind. My mam's favourite bit was socialising with the other residents. The only thing my mam would change is to extend the socialising/entertainment of residents into the evening, so bedtime was later. The evening could be a bit lonely
and boring for her. However, she has enjoyed her stay and if necessary would come back and stay.

This is my second three week stay in Fleming Court this year and I have been impressed with all the staff from management to housekeeping. All are kind and patient with every resident. My reason for being here is because of building work at home, so I don't need personal care of any kind but I can appreciate
the care being shown to other residents.
The activities have improved since June and with a new leader will get even better.

As a Heath Care Professional, Karen has gained a wealth of experience in providing care support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at HC-One for 12 years, Karen closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Karen remarked:


“Watching the interaction between Residents and staff and watching them laugh together.”


Karen has also achieved much outside of work, she has completed a 1500ft sky dive for the Neonatal ward in Sheffield.”


Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
