Fleming Court is a lovely building in a beautiful location. I have found the staff to be most pleasant and obliging on each occasion I have visited my mother over the past 18 months. Caring for lots of vulnerable people, with all the quirks of great age and needs can never be easy but the staff all do their utmost to make Fleming a real home and caring environment.

The care that my relative has received has been, and continues to be, outstanding.
The fact that the home has avoided the Coronavirus is testament to the dedication and vigilance of the entire staff.

It is a great comfort to all our family knowing that she is safe and secure.

I am so missing my little visits to Fleming Care Home to visit my 91-year-old Dad who has well-established dementia. Although he no longer recognised me he still knows my voice and I love taking him down to the lounge area to play a duet on the grand piano. The manager and all the staff make my visits a pleasure as they create such a lovely atmosphere and sometimes the other residents start dancing when we play, which I just love! I feel so lucky that he has a place there and it is great peace of mind to me as I don’t live nearby.

Your expertise and knowledge of the seriousness of the Coronavirus pandemic was reflected in the fact that Fleming Court went into lockdown on 12th March. This, to your credit, has meant all staff and residents have remained safe and well.
I have missed my more regular visits to see my mum but have really appreciated your support and understanding when I have felt helpless and low at times. The fact that you made it possible for me to visit my mum, albeit her in your lovely gardens and me at the other side of the fence, 'social distance' appropriate, has been extremely helpful, thoughtful and kind.

I can't thank you enough for all you've done and look forward to seeing you all on a more personal basis when this is all over.

I have always found the staff very caring, helpful and kind when caring for my mum. They treat my mum with dignity when looking after her and this gives me peace of mind. When I visit I am offered a cup of tea, which is always welcomed.

My mam found her stay a pleasant one and that the staff were very kind. My mam's favourite bit was socialising with the other residents. The only thing my mam would change is to extend the socialising/entertainment of residents into the evening, so bedtime was later. The evening could be a bit lonely and boring for her. However, she has enjoyed her stay and if necessary would come back and stay.

This is my second three week stay in Fleming Court this year and I have been impressed with all the staff from management to housekeeping. All are kind and patient with every resident. My reason for being here is because of building work at home, so I don't need personal care of any kind but I can appreciate the care being shown to other residents.

The activities have improved since June and with a new leader will get even better.

Fleming Court offers a good level of care for my parents. However, more outings and external visits would be good. The residents raise their own money for entertainment, which is absolutely appalling. Selling sweets to residents who pay over £4000 a month to pay for their own entertainment is appalling but allows you to tick a box at their expense.

My relative had to come to Fleming Court in sad circumstances and has now lived there for one year. The staff have met her personal care and residential needs well, except for activities which could be more reliable.
Management has been responsive, efficient and consistent. It's a busy and attractive building/space in a great location.

Care staff are excellent. In general, a positive experince, despite the circumstances.

Fleming Court has the feel of a hotel rather than a care home which meant a lot to my mother when we looked around. The building is well designed with excellent facilities. The staff are friendly and caring and often have a smile for you. I was very happy with the care my mother received.

The home is clean, warm and comfortable with lots of really good facilities e.g. A small cinema, numerous lounges etc. The staff are friendly and approachable and always willing to help.

My sister's room is quiet, clean and warm. She is very comfortable and happy in her new home. There are no smells of stale food or body waste, unlike some care homes.

The staff at Fleming Court are excellent and have provided sensitive care for my mother. When her health has faltered, then staff have responded promptly and used their experience to help her to recover.

The staff are also very welcoming to visitors - it feels like an extended family.

My father has only been here for 24 hours so it is difficult to come to a final conclusion.
However, early impressions are very favourable.
It's a new modern building with very nice individual rooms and very good communal areas.
Have not yet met many staff members but those that we have met are all cheery, helpful and caring.
Excellent catering and family can book in for meals when visiting.

Don't know about activities yet.

This is an outstanding care home.
The facilities are top notch and the staff are caring, personable and dedicated. They are most helpful with relatives - be it visits or phone calls.

Ps. Why not install a computer or 2 for guests to use so they can enjoy an internet café.
