Visited my uncle who appears very happy and content in his surroundings. We attended the quiz run by the home managers. The staff were very caring and attentive. The home was clean and the food was great. It was nice to see home management stay behind so late to join in with activities with residents.

Staff are very good always pleasant. Food etc good but only soup and sandwiches every day for tea. The only other the point is that the cleaning of dentures with toothpaste is not enough.

The staff are always kind and helpful. They treat Mum with humour and careful stock the room is just right and Mum enjoys the food. Occasionally items get misplaced in the laundry, but it is a very small issue to us.

Whenever I come to visit usually twice a week the staff and cars are extremely friendly and willing to help offer assistance. They treat my friend with respect and he responds very well towards them. I usually find to say I'm coming to take pizza out and the staff make sure he is ready to pick up when I arrive. there appear to be plenty of activities for residents to participate in and I'm always welcome to join in too.

My mum took up residency at Fleming Court care home 18 months ago. My sister and I cared for her at home following my dad's sudden death. She has Alzheimer’s disease and upon entering the home her dementia was moderate. The home can no longer meet her needs as her condition has declined to a more advanced state.
Fleming is very light, bright, spacious and well-furnished. Nice dining area with good food choices and well presented.
Most carers do a good job although too stretched to interact as much with the residents as they would like. There is one very nice well-being coordinator but she is only part-time. On occasion there is entertainment but generally, there is just nothing for them to do. Some residents just need some emotional support and someone to comfort them and that’s where I think there is a problem. Many times I have seen boredom escalate to agitation among these elderly people.

Disappointing management. Poor interaction and make themselves scarce.

My mother-in-law has resided in Fleming Court since July 2023. Having looked at other care homes initially we were delighted to find Fleming Court as was she. The experience so far has been very positive, the care, the environment, the facilities and the hospitality. My mother-in-law reports feeling safe, cared for and very happy here.

I visit weekly with pets such as therapy dog, we always enjoy our visits with staff and residents. There’s always something interesting to keep the residents entertained, we certainly learned a lot from the Rockpool School this week.
The staff work so hard to look after all of the residents.

We look forward to many more visits in the future.

Mum had a fall in November and it was clear she could no longer live alone as my brother and I both live 3 hours away. From the moment I walked through the door at Fleming Court Care Home I knew that was where she needed to be. Every member of staff goes out of their way to keep the residents safe and happy and despite the challenges of caring for residents with dementia they are always cheerful and supportive. The food always looks great and the range of activities keeps the residents busy throughout the week. Mum is very happy there and no longer mentions home, as she is happy being on holiday in a lovely hotel! Thank you Fleming Court.

From entering Fleming Court Care Home which gives the impression of a five-star hotel to the care from good uniformed staff who show kindness, patience and sensitivity. The rooms, open spaces and bathrooms, all fitted out to a very high standard give a sense of well-being. The food including wine, warmth and characteristics are all above exception with no finding or atmosphere of an old care home. Care homes have certainly varied in the standard of the perception of the first to one of excellence.

Within the covid restrictions, the Care Home seems to be run with attention to detail. The few staff I've met have been unfailingly polite and respectful as have a few others I have spoken to on the telephone. My sister's medication regime has been followed to the letter by the staff concerned. My sister appreciates the night-time care she receives, the social company of some of the other residents, and the good quality of the food provided. I'm greatly relieved to know she is being well looked after and is safe. Thank you.
