Thank you for your positive feedback and here at Fleming court we always welcome suggestions of areas to improve. Showers facilities are in every bedroom, to address this I will advise my staff to offer a shower each day at a time appropriate for yourself. We have outstanding gardens, parks and locations around Newcastle, there are staff who would escort you outside weather permitting. Our wellbeing coordinators would also support you and I am also recruiting more staff to be available. The Laundry Department have plenty of protective garments for mealtimes and insist staff only need to collect items from the laundry. Lastly I do apologise for ill-fitting hearing aids, this week I had a meeting with Vision call who will be conducting training at Fleming Court, this will provide a better service in regards to hearing and vision services.

The health and wellbeing of all our Residents is very important to us. We are delighted to hear your positive comments with regards to our home and the support you received via our care team. We have recently appointed two excellent and highly experienced chefs to join our hospitality team and have also arranged for monthly meetings with our Residents to enable us to receive regular feedback on our hospitality services. Fresh fruit is also now available in the dining area each day. Our Home Manager operates an open door policy and is happy to assist both Residents and family members with any concerns they may have. We also hold monthly staff meetings and Resident/Relative meetings to discuss any issues or ideas to improve the Resident experience.
Thank you for the feedback you have provided in relation to Fleming Court. We appreciate your comments on a number of areas that you acknowledged as being excellent within the home. Any concerns raised are treated seriously and thank you for bringing these to our attention in relation to management and staffing levels. There has been a change in management in the home and unfortunately, when the previous Home Manager left, a number of the staff decided to go with her. This has caused some staffing challenges, but I am pleased to say we have recruited some great staff as well as retained some excellent staff. It’s also worth mentioning that several of the staff who had left the organisation during this time of change have now either returned to Fleming Court or have requested to return in future weeks. We regularly meet with our staff teams to discuss any areas of concerns they have to ensure they are fully supported. Our staffing levels are assessed on a regular basis to ensure that staff numbers are appropriate to meet the needs of our Residents. Fleming Court has also recently undergone its first CQC inspection, of which we received a rating of Good in all areas. Feedback was positive and an excellent reflection of our dedicated team within Fleming court.
Thank you for your comments, we appreciate all feedback received as it helps us to improve our service where required. As a company, we are always actively looking for feedback with regards to our service. We have recently undergone changes in the ownership of the care home and have ensured a smooth transition. We have had changes to our staff team and on occasions, we have had to utilise agency staffing. As an organisation, we always utilise the same agency supplier, offering continuity within the staff team who assist in the care home, thus ensuring that the agency staff members covering can, therefore, build relationships with our Residents and current staff team. We are continuing to build a strong staffing team to help us move our home forward.
When we first viewed the home in November 2016, it was under a different owner and our previous experience with two other homes was a big plus.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate all feedback provided as it helps us improve our service where required. At Fleming Court, we pride ourselves on the presentation, taste and nutritional value of our food and offer, daily, a wide variety of menu choice for our residents. We aim to cater to all our residents’ individual tastes and monitor food standards by carrying our residents' surveys which continue to receive excellent feedback on the standard and variety of food provided. The Home Manager carries out random taste checks on the food to ensure a high quality is maintained and any concerns are raised with the chef. Families will often join their loved ones for Sunday lunch and have always been very complimentary on the food quality. Unfortunately, staff will leave for a number of personal reasons, be it because they have moved home, to provide care for family members and even to further their education. The Home Manager operates and open door policy and holds monthly Resident and Relative meetings; she would welcome a meeting with you to assist with any concerns you would like addressed.
