Overall Experience
I have had a lot of dealing with the care industry over many years. Not just through the care needed for my granddaughter but through my work.
I can honestly say that I am extremely impressed with the way the staff care for the residents here. I always say that a good care team stems from good management and that is certainly true here.
The residents are thought of and entertained as individuals and their personal interests developed where possible.
So much care is put into special days like Valentine’s Day etc and especially birthdays.

My gram daughter is a changed person since she has lived here. She is blossoming and so happy. Which of course In turn makes is all happy.

Our son moved into Magellan House at the beginning of July. To say we were apprehensive about the move was an understatement, however, all our worries soon disappeared as he settled in very quickly enjoying the company of the other residents, staff and management. Everybody involved in his care has worked so hard to help him adjust to his new setting, he loves all the activities and outings and is having a blast.
Magellan House has a lovely warm, homely feel and the care is outstanding.

Thank you so much to the manager and all your team.

Overall Experience

My daughter moved to Magellan House in June. It is a new, refurbished house and much to her delight, she was able to choose the decoration in her room. The staff are friendly, approachable, compassionate and caring. There are lots of interesting activities going on all the time and are chosen with all of the young people's interests in mind. The manager's enthusiasm and empathy are amazing and this is reflected throughout Magellan House. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

When I first went to visit Magellan House I knew that I had to get my Daughter there. The vibrancy, positivity and overall feeling of the House was extremely impressive.

The balance of the clients, staff and management has been thoroughly thought through and the focus is on the client which is extremely refreshing.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this service provision.

My daughter enjoys living at Magellan and despite only being there a short time is very happy. Lots of activities have been organised and my daughter has made friends with the staff who have plenty of energy and patience. Other residents are of a similar age and a good mix of abilities. Staff are always welcoming and open to visits from family. Thank you to staff at Magellan.

Our son has recently moved into Magellan House a brand new home for young adults with disabilities. A very welcoming, homely feel under excellent management. The staff team are passionate and motivated to provide an excellent, quality of life for each of the residents. Our son has a good quality and fulfilled week being out and about swimming, carriage riding, walks, meals out and beer nights.

I can highly recommend Magellan House.
